I like that this B&N has CHAIRS!!! I think the chairs are such an underrated feature of B&Ns, and I appreciate that this one has little reading 'nooks' throughout the store, so you can kind of hang out and enjoy the bookstore ambiance while you read and maybe sip your little drinky drink! This is one of the few Barnes locations in the surrounding areas that actually has chairs and/or book nooks. The employees are very nice and helpful and the store is always in good order and clean. I've had no issues in this store. The only thing that I might consider a potential downside is that this location is quite busy typically, so if you're looking for a quiet, empty Barnes, this isn't the one!

The back section used to be an open spot where they would host events. The Gamers Exchange was what I looked forward to the most when going here. Local sellers sold games and it brought a sense of community. There's now more of their section to test and repair consoles so I suppose it's for the better but those were the days.. Apart from all the cool video games to check out I have a few complaints. Like many, checking out here takes too long and I wonder if it's just something where their point of sales is just outdated. Even then, there's only one person just checking out people.. why not have more than one register at a time? There's the option to use WiFi but I could never get it to work. Although there are computers around to look up items that you want to check the price on, it can be a tad slow sometimes. I do like the convenience of checking out what's in stock but sometimes that's not always the case. I remember a few times asking someone that worked there if they had a game, they could not find the game at all and that put a damper on my visit. If I can't see it in person in store then most likely it's probably bought online. Otherwise I find this store to be such a joy to visit. While I think the prices are kinda high, I don't think any game store in the area could really compute. They have games ranging from NES - Recent and that's pretty impressive alone. They have a wide variety of used items as well as several very fine lines for which they are certified dealers. They run the audiophile gamut in terms of price. As an example, they have the basic Project Debut all the way up to a Clearaudio Reference Master. I was pleased with the candor of their advice. For example, they urged me not to replace certain items because what I have is already plenty good. Many stores would have tried to sell more stuff rather the help the customer get it right and save money. Three separate times they gave me advice or a solution that involved no money changing hands. They also listen. How a person hears is like a fingerprint. We're all different. I told them the type of sound I enjoy and they tailored systems extremely accurately to my preference - and told me several times that I would not like certain expensive items so not to bother. Bottom line: it was about the customer sharing their joy in listening, not about moving boxes. Be prepared to spend some time if you visit. Between the beauty of their inventory, the joy of listening to beautifully reproduced music, and the infectious enthusiasm of the staff, time tends to fly.
