I really wanted a Sonic burger combo today, drove through placed my order. The gentleman took the order, was quite polite and had me go to the window. The young girl at the window was nice, she took my credit card and only charged me for tots and a drink. When she noticed the error, she asked for my credit card again. She tried to run my card and it was declined. (A failsafe that the credit card company has to prevent double charges and fraud). She and her manager were upset that I opted for them to just give me what I already paid for, and I didn't give them another card to pay for the burger. Since it wasn't charged, I didn't want it. This is 2026 and this place still stinks I ordered one foot long chili dog. Got it home and bit into a rubber dog! Looking at the ends showed burn and dried out meat. I was up at one am with a run at both ends Called the district manager who got a but miffed when I told her this could cause this place a lawsuit if someone had to go to hospital with food poisoning. I tried to order through the app on July 5 but it said it was unavailable. We went there instead. All of the order bays were blocked off and only the drive thru was open. Once we got to the window we understood. The gentlemen working was literally the only employee there. He was doing it all. He was still upbeat, apologetic and doing a great job. I was just at this location. I ordered a BACON breakfast toaster. I received a sausage toaster. I do not care for sausage and it can make me feel sick. I didn't notice the error until I had left and was driving to work so I couldn't turn around and go back. Once I got to work I tried calling 5 times and apparently the phones aren't working. Okay, in all honesty, it is a little slow. But you have to weigh that against SUPER friendly staff, the fact that the food is ALWAYS hot and fresh, and let's not forget...there are a lot of great menu items and they do them all correctly and still accommodate "special request" with a smile. Today, while in a bit of a hurry, I decided to stop by Sonic with an Entertainment Book coupon. I ordered two foot long coneys, getting one of the two for free. Service was good, wait was short enough, and overall I drove away with a smile. Let me tell you this...they were pretty dang large. They would have been $3.35 each, so they are not quite as cheap as a gas station hot dog, but they are pretty tasty and have chili/cheese on them. I was full after two of them. It was a chilly fall afternoon. I had a few errands to run and got a hankerin' for a corn dog. The drive thru line was very long. I thought this was a good sign that a lot of people like the food. Well, about 37 minutes later I finally got my food. A corn dog, tots and soda. Everything I got was cold, but I ate it anyway. I was hungry and by this point, running behind. Every bite was followed with a hard swallow and a cuss word. Really gross. I made a few stops, ending with the grocery store. As I was checking out.... it started. Bubble gut and that feeling of "OH NO". I had to go and I had to go right away. I started helping the bag boy throw my shit in the bags just to speed up the process. I pushed that cart like the bomb squad rushes a smoking package out of the building. Threw everything in the car and hauled ass. I'm not even sure if I put the cart in the place it belongs. I just bugged out... tires squealing, windows down and screaming at anyone in my way. The drive home was a lot like a Jason Bourne chase scene. Tunnel vision, sweating, mumbling.... a lot of offensive drive and evasive maneuvers. I hit every F****ng red light possible. Every red light I got stuck at, I'd look down at that Sonic bag sitting on my floor board and just yelled at it like it was the bag's fault. By the time I was at the top of my street, i was doing about 68 in a 25. I was comin' in hot. I had to get this bird on the ground. I pulled in the driveway doing about 67, slammed the breaks, parked sideways, and ran to the door. DAMMIT!. "Who locked the freaking door???!!!" I fumbled for my key and unlocked the door handle... no dice. The GD deadbolt was locked too. "FU**!!!!!!" I finally got in the house, ran down the hall, got the the bathroom door. Closed and locked. "MotherF*****!". I banged on that door like I was the cops. My teenage son was in there trying to explain something to me but I couldn't hear him over the sound of me kicking in the door. 3 kicks and the bitch was off it's hinges. I bum rushed him while he was sitting there, grabbed him by the collar and threw him like you see those fish market guys in Seattle throw those fish. As I sat down and exploded like rocket powered Yoohoo, I tried to explain what was happening... but the only fragmented words I could get out was "SONIC.....f****ng corndog..... ahhhhh..... never...... again.....SONIC!" That was about a year ago. My son and I have made great strides to mend our relationship after many, many counseling and therapy sessions. Things were getting back to normal. Until the other day. The service kinda sucks, but if you think for a second that this would prevent me from going back, you be wrong. The food tastes like food. Wide variety of beverages. The people running it are always friendly; sometimes slightly depressed with a hint of exhaustion. Understandable. One time, I ordered a chicken wrap and got an egg burrito. I dont like eggs. Ended up eating it anyways. Honestly, I've visited slower Sonic's...and only one that was faster than the rest. Service is usually pretty friendly. Menu boards are easy to read. Prices are fair. One of the only fast food places where my son can get a grilled cheese so we visit fairly often. The drink sizes are quite small compared to other fast food joints. Food just smells greasy but it's fast food so that's kind of expected. read more

The manager, Andrew had a full beard, but should have had a hair net if he was working around food. The food here is decent, your average sonic meal...service on the other hand is generally awful. They are extremely slow and get the order correct maybe 50% of the time. The biggest annoyance for me, however, is the majority of the time I have ordered here, I can hear people yelling and laughing in the background - maybe this has something to do with the slow service and order not being correct??? My husbands chocolate banana shake was literally vanilla ice cream in a cup - no chocolate, no banana.
