I ordered 2 chili cheese coneys and both of them had burnt hot dogs and so stingy with the chili..

I went to the Sonic on Texoma Parkway today because it has always been a great place to eat. But if you have not been to this Sonic in a while you might want to read the menu good before you order. I ordered what I regularly order but did not noticed very that their burgers don't come with mustard anymore, instead they come with mayo. Which was a big disappointment to me. Because I don't eat mayo at all. I know a lot of people like it but I don't at all. But it was my mistake for not looking at the menu good. I barely get a burger because they are bad for me and when I do I get mustard because it is so much healthier than mayo. Plus I don't like mayo anyway. Other than that the carhop was so friendly and I did not send the burger back because it was my mistake for not reading the menu better. And it taught me a lesson. That is the only reason for the three stars because it ruined the taste of the burger. But other than that everything else was fine. Lesson learned on my part. read more

Being raised in Oklahoma this is one of the main staples for burgers. I've always enjoyed the burgers and the tots. If you ever get a chance, ask for the Extreme Tots. Chili cheese tots with onions, jalapeños, and ranch dressing, ...... so good!! This ones is looking a bit aged, in the time when several across the area have been getting big updates. read more

Disclosure..... I didn't order any food here. Only a Route 44 Peach Slushie. The Slushie was perfect and the carhop was smiling and very sweet. So why only 3 stars? When we hit the button to order, it took at least 5 minutes for them to answer and take the order. It also took another 10 minutes to get the drink. 10 minutes?!?! I just can't understand why it took a total of 15 minutes to get one drink. Ridiculous. If stopping here, make sure you aren't in a hurry. I hate to think of how long it takes to actually receive food! read more

On our way back from a weeklong RV trip to Oklahoma, we stopped in at this location for a quick lunch and snack. Since we were pulling our travel trailer, I parked behind the store and my wife headed to their patio to place our order. in no time it was ready. My wife said the carhop who brought the order out was so friendly and even offered to help her carry the drinks and food to our truck. We'll definitely stop in at this location next time we're in the Sherman, Texas area. read more

Popcorn Chicken is 90% Breading I generally find Sonic's food to be decent, especially when they run specials. I don't eat at Sonic unless it's on special. They recently ran a special for the Small Jumbo Popcorn Chicken for 99¢. It's usually $3.29 (WOW!). The limit was 5. I order 5 to go, thinking I'll have 5 cheap meals. Started eating some and didn't notice much chicken flavor or texture, so I started taking the breading off of about 10 pcs. Only one had a tiny chunk of chicken in it! The rest was ALL breading! They looked like it only had chicken skin / fat in them, which was just white mush, smashed to the walls of the breading. Legally, they would have to name it "Chikin" or something similar, since these are actually imitation popcorn chicken. So anyway, I would warn against these, unless you love breading. ALSO, one of my biggest issues is that they don't offer a way to add tips in the app or at the kiosks. For those that go cashless, we end up looking like assholes to the wait staff. It wouldn't be difficult to add this and make your minimum wage employees a little happier. read more

I usually will always go to this sonic than the one by hwy 75. Let me tell you, if you are thirst or feeling like some tater tots and it's about 11:00pm don't bother going. Why? They close at 12am?? Because they will tell you "sorry were closed" I've had this happen at least twice, maybe more I don't know. I once pressed the button, they answered, I was beginning to order and my boyfriend wasn't quiet sure what flavor wings he wanted so I said "one second". We took less than a minute. I said okay he wants blah blah. No answer. I tried saying hello. Nothing. So I pressed the button to see if it would work. They answered and said "were closed". I was in the middle of ordering?? It was only 11:30pm. Ridiculous. Went to McDonald's after that. Another time, we were on the sides further away from the carhop doors (where they go in and out) and we pressed the button and they asked us to move to the inside spots so we did. Pressed the button to hear "were closed" once again. It was 11:30pm I'm sorry but if you close at 12am, why say you're closed?? There were other cars there. Food isn't the best. Drinks are great. Not sure who owns this location but I feel I owe it these business owners to find out. I will refrain from publicly airing what a bad experience at thIs store is like. The drinks are watered down. Ordered a Large cherry limeade. No cherry or limeade flavor, only sprite. This is the third time this has happened at this location. Give them 2 stars at least because the cheese sticks are pretty good. read more

So, I went to sonic today to grab a bite to eat and I was not impressed at all my burger was warm, it had ketchup and wilted brown looking lettuce on it! Wich was nasty after I took my first bite, I took the bun off removed the lettuce tried to wipe off the ketchup didn't work though. I'm 44 years old and I have never had a nasty burger like that ever before I've ate there since I was a little girl and honestly in their food cooking, sucks!!! Ok, so don't order your drinks here, especially limeades. Apparently, a sprite with two microscopic lime wedges, not even squeezed, constitutes a "limeade" in their eyes. Also, it's extra if you want another set of two microscopic unsqueezed lime wedges in your limeade. If you're reading this, just go to the one at sherman town center instead. I stopped in today for the 50 cent corndogs and a 1/2 price drink (2:24pm). I couldn't understand the exact amount since all of the people on the speaker trail off at the end. But I knew it was $4 plus change. I gave Jennifer $5. She asked if I needed catsup or mustard...no. Handed me everything. It was so hot, and I must have looked beat after doing hours of grocery shopping. I felt she was trying to distract me.....but I knew I had change coming. She said "Oh, you want your coins?" She handed me 24 cents (two dimes and four pennies) and told me she didn't have a nickle. I did ask for the receipt. It showed my total was $4.16. I should have gotten 84 cents in change. A popular place for Austin College kids on weekends. People stop here for a nice drink to mix with. The staff is nice and the service is speedy. I have never sat and eaten at this establishment, but have gotten food and drinks, all of which was how I ordered it. The place is nicely located on Texoma and is impossible to miss. read more

Really convenient location, nice spot to stop by before you get on highway. Foods and drink served in a good time and people who work there are pretty friendly. I know it's weird but you have to try their coffee, which you are even able to choose different flavors and it's good coffee with a fair price :) read more

Mixed emotions here. Everybody knows sonic so we will skip that part. Now that they post your order on screen I'm noticing many things. One is.. you think you are saying money by getting a hamburger instead of a "cheese"burger but in fact they are still charging you for the cheese. Second thing I've noticed since when have they started charging for a cup of water? Sink water... a small cup is sink water. Please take that off my order I'm not paying for that. I and my husband visited here. We had an extremely easy order. One combo and I asked for a route 44 sweet green tea. They brought out a regular sweet tea. So we again push the button asked them to please bring correct drink. So then I get a medium sweet green tea. So again we push the little red button. While I was in the middle of explaining, the car hop interrupted me and proceeded to sound very agitated. But she did bring the correct drink and size, but rudely asked for the medium tea back, which was already being held out the window for her. She then threw that drink away. But had an attitude the entire time. Now I get it was just a drink, but I would like the drink I paid for. And just fyi, it takes alot for me to get upset with food servers. I stopped at this location, as I drive for work and was in this area, only to be disappointed and not end up eating here. I looked at their menu and saw a few different items come on the screen as new items to try. When I pressed the red button to order, the employee said they were having technical difficulties and would be right with me. I said that's fine, which it was, It's understandable. Once they got back to take my order, I asked for the new Steakburger and med tots combo for $4.99. The employee didn't know what I was talking about so I mentioned it was one of the new advertised specials. He then tells me they won't offer that until December 1st, which I didn't notice any disclaimer on the advertisement saying this, so I told him I would need a minute then to figure out something else to order. On the screen I saw the frito chili wrap was back, so I pressed the red button again and a new employee came on the speaker to take my order. Once I told her what I wanted, she also didn't know what I was taking about. I told her it was right on the screen I was looking at, and she said again that those don't start until December 1st. Very frustrated, I asked her why they are showing advertisements for items they don't sell yet and that don't have any disclaimer saying this information for TWO different items I was trying to order. We are here now, waiting 20 minutes later for our order. We understand it is happy hour and they are busy, but when we first ordered, the gentleman who took our order was rude, cutting us off and then, after asking if our order was done and we replied no, he ended our order anyways. We then pushed the button again to finish our order and it has taken 20 minutes for it to be delivered (and there are only 2 of us, our order wasn't large). They just brought our order out and it was large and incomplete, only parts from each time we pushed the button. We don't come to Sherman often, but we won't be stopping at this sonic again when we do. I wouldn't recommend someone coming here who is in any kind of hurry. read more

After being offered an upgrade to my footlong combo coney with chili cheese tots, and additional coney condiments, the order came out with a second order of tots, plus an overcharged drink. Since the carhop fled and brought the manager out to lecture us, the episode took 35 minutes, we were cheated out of happy hour pricing, while the food came out stale and cold with melted drinks. Yikes, the coney wasn't close to what was ordered. No apologies, or attempt to be congenial after screwing up the order. I will never go back to this one I rather drive all the way across town to the other Sonic then to go back to this one this Sonic is very slow when they bring your food out it's cold I have called 2 or 3 times to get new food because it was always cold or it wasn't the right one then today I go and they're little service box that says when it's ordered and in kitchen and then the one that says its on its way well after it said that it was on its way it was six to seven minutes before I was able to actually get my stuff and then I asked the car hop if I can own a penny because I'm always there she gets an attitude over a penny I mean come on lady it's a penny she said it came out of their tips which I understand but it's just a penny so it's not that much and yes I keep saying that I'm just really pissed right now so if you're new to the town or if you've been here a long time don't go to that Sonic go to the Sonic by the mall it's a lot better they're way nicer when the food comes out it's always hot read more
