My first time trying Sonic and I have to say it was such a great experience! I ordered a Dirty Fanta soda and it honestly took me right back to my childhood. The flavor reminded me of an orange creamsicle ice cream--sweet, creamy, and so refreshing. I also tried a cheeseburger, chicken bites, and the Groovy Fries with Groovy Sauce. Everything was really tasty and satisfying. The fries had the perfect seasoning, and the sauce made them even better. Overall, the food was yummy, nostalgic, and definitely worth it. Not sure why the bad reviews. We came here just to fix a craving for a milkshake one evening. It was pretty empty surpringly, we ordered in the drive up which is super convenient. You just order from the menu, pay, and they bring it right out. The banana shake was heavenly, the fries were fresh. The only issue was the price. So expensive for a small container of fries that was a large, but enough for one small person. I paid 13 bucks for fries and a shake which is pretty high in price. But the shake was HUGE so that was worth it, the fries not so much. This Sonic Drive-In closes late, so it's very convenient for me and my wife to drive my son and his friends when they are craving something Cold and Sweet late at night. This is close to home, too, so I can just go with my Pajamas and order to drive through. I do not know much about my Son's and his friends' order, but it looks like it's gonna be very sweet for me. So, I just ordered a Hot Fudge Sundae for me and my wife to share. Just like other sundaes it taste the same, and as usual, we always like Hot Fudge Sundae. I had the big dill meal. It was interesting. It was way too much food so I couldn't eat it all. The smash burger was the bomb! The tots were ok-ish. The slush was interesting, and surprisingly good, but way too large. I was honestly fine with just a few sips of it. I kept getting spammed with advertising on this combo, so who am I to not comply with the advertising gods? The service was quick and friendly. The ordering kiosk was pretty glitchy. I used to love this place but it's gone downhill in ways that are preventable. Some of the menus are so sun-faded that you can't read them, the plexiglass screen is yellow. Even when you can place an order ( as I did from #8 ) I had to hold a paper bag next to the screen just to read it. Also, the normal transaction ends with you swiping your card to pay. This one did not. I came inside to pay only to find the customer service window ( inside ) had been removed and replaced with a brick wall. The message is clear "Don't bother us." We don't want any customer contact here at all. As a total introvert, I kind of get that. Still, I wanted to PAY for my order. I saw some customers accidentally walking into the "Employees Only" door right next to the customer lobby door. ( The lobby that's just a solid room with a pay kiosk, and no other people. ) The fact that they'd have both doors next to each other and not clearly marked is kind of weird. Their management may argue that the door is clearly marked, but only in small letters you can't read until you're about to pass through the door. Maybe large letters you can read across the parking lot, LOBBY and EMPLOYEE ONLY in 14" letters over the door, something like that? I saw an employee who just delivered to a car and asked her how I can pay. She pointed to #7 and said you can't, it's broken. First of all, I'm at #8 which isn't broken. Second, the sign that tells you #8 is broken is laying face down on the ground because someone only used clear scotch tape to hold it on. That never works in a windy outdoor environment. I grabbed some duct tape from the back of my truck and taped the sign on for them. That's their job, not the customers, but yeah, sure, I'll do your job for you since you somehow can't. Everything's feeling kind of faded on this business which typically tells me no one cares. It's hard to tell which came first; did revenue go down so now management doesn't care about upkeep, or did upkeep go down since revenue went down? Not my call to make, but I do get a weird feeling that this beloved business isn't trying to be it's best, only trying to survive for one more day. When enough things ( that aren't the food ) go wrong like this, it makes you stop and wonder if the same decline is going on with the food quality as well. Fingers crossed. I'm pulling for you guys. The food itself was good. However, the service was non existing. The carhop spilled the orange juice I had order all over the inside of my car. She was very apologetic and it was a clear accident. Just as I was reaching over for the cup, it spilled all over the inside of my car. I didn't even touch the cup at that point. However, she didn't know how to even begin to attempt to rectify the situation. So I asked for more napkins to wipe off the spill. I called the Supervisor number on the receipt and ask if they would at least compensate having the inside of my car cleaned. They said no as it would "come out of their general funds" and that all they can offer is more napkins and rags. They said at most they can give me a free meal in the future. I asked if there was a general manager and she stated that she was. She said I can call Sonic corporate about compensation and so I did. I called Sonic Corporate's number and they quickly picked up. I explain to them the situation and all they can do with it was to "forward my concerns to local restaurant operation". I understand accident happens, but I would, at minimum, expect them to be at least proactive and offer to pay for someone to clean the spill at the local car wash. read more

You cannot put the unicorn slush the drink for the cheeseburger combo so they replaced it with water and had to add the slushy on the side Things went so quick I wish it wasn't water mainly because for the price paid for the three things in the combo, which was a medium drink, a cheeseburger, and fries on the side I don't think the price for those three was worth it Also look how flat the cheeseburger is do not go to drive-throughs. The price is not worth it for something that is so flat with so little lettuce. It's not even as bulky as it should be. What sets this location apart is that they have a spacious indoor dining area that is well air-conditioned and even has multiple TVs. I'd rather dine in here than dine in my car. read more

Don't get me wrong I love sonic through and through. It just sucks every time because the service is so bad. There has been a handful of times where my order has been wrong and I've had to had my drink remade and it feels like it's every single time this happens or I just expect my order to be wrong whenever I come here. It shouldn't be this way. This time around we came for a late night snack. The worker was really rude to us when we were ordering and when we were getting our order. It doesn't make sense to me for this place to be open this late or if you're going to work this shift when you know you're going to be in a bad mood. If the 2am close is an issue for the workers, have other people work these shifts or change your hours. Also, if you don't have your machine set up for tap, put a sign where you order in the drive-thru to let you know ahead of time that you want to know if we are using tap. How are we supposed to know your machine isn't set up yet for tap? Be proactive for yourself and ask your customers if they will be using tap ahead of time. Terrible experience. read more

This restaurant chain honestly is trash. The food is literally bare minimum. Prices are extremely decent but defeats the whole purpose if the food is no good. When I came here I checked into Yelp, I was excited because without even thinking it had given me a pop up for one of the flavor of drinks they sell so I was like why not will give me an excuse to try something new. But that was not the case. When I showed it to the girl she states "yea that is no longer valid, we don't support use of that". I said " When I check in with yelp it says this is what is offered from checking in." She goes no that's not correct we can't honor that from Yelp'. One of our favorite go to places when we need a late night snack or drink. The Sonic app is the best because it is always happy hour and there are plenty of slushes and soda's or tea to choose form. Plus they usually have some other deal going on (like 2 for $5 burgers or $1 grilled cheese). Location is great, usually right next to or close enough to a freeway exit where you can easily grab something and hit the road again. I do miss when they had their grilled chicken sandwiches with hatch chili's but there is plenty on the menu to choose from. One of my favorite's is their hot fudge shake, sounds like a lot but it is actually thick, creamy, and very light. My husband loves their tater tots and also has recently enjoyed their newer broccoli cheddar tots (literally they taste like broccoli cheddar soup in a tot form). Sonic's burgers are always a good choice and my Dad loves their Coney Chili dogs. And of course don't forget the cranberry lime slush (or any one of the many flavors Sonic has to offer). Came here on Sunday, late evening craving their milkshakes. Really their milkshakes and limemades make a stop to sonic all worth it. So many toppings to choose from for their milkshakes. For limemade, strawberry limemade slush is my go-to. Also a place to stop by if you have the munchies. Their tater tots are crunchy. Their soft pretzel stick + cheese is a lil salty, a lil random.. but soft and chewy. Burgers are made well too. The usual park and order from your car or drive thru.. the food doesn't take long at all and the employee bringing out our order was nice. Wow, just wow! This is the worst location! I went to order food last night (03/21/25) and the wait time was totally unacceptable. There were only two vehicles in front of me, and I waited for 13 - 15 minutes to retrive my order. When I finally made it to the windows, there were workers just standing around looking dumbfounded! People with outrageous hair handling food ( actually lack thereof) with no hair nets on their heads! Place also looked very dirty inside. Will not be visiting this location ever again! I'm not sure what happened, I ordered with the app. I attempted to order a double smasher Cheeseburger and the American Hotdog Combo.. The App told me to pull up to a stall and input the stall number. The Stall number was somewhat hidden from my catteracs for a moment. For whatever reason only the smasher burger appeared in my order. A shopping $1.08 Including tax. So a smasher cheeseburger was brought out to my car to get cold while waiting for my Hotdog, fries and drink which added $9.69 to my bill. I felt that price even with bidenomics was a bit much to pay for such a small amount of food. My smasher Cheeseburger before the huge discount was $8.69, so I was happy to get it for $1.08 including tax. The Hotdog was not really worth mentioning.With a name like All American I expected something far better and more deserving of it's name. Instead I got a plain old Hotdog in a plain old nontoasted bun with some ketchup relish and a huge pile of chopped (not truly diced in my opinion) onions. The Fries were the star of the combo . They were krinkle cut, and fried to a dark brown color which is just the way I like them.. Thier signature Ketchup is really a good tasting addition to the fries . I forgot to request light salt , but it didn't matter. They were just right as they were. I didn't feel that the service was very friendly and certainly not attentive at all. Nothing struck me when it came to ambiance. If the car hops would have been on roller skates that would have added to the ambiance. I felt that the smasher cheeseburger was a bit overcooked thus, dry. It did taste good I especially appreciated the nicely toasted bun they used. The also used a good tasting nicely melted cheese. From what Im seeing Sonics is a bit more expensive than I prefer yet they have good deals for app users. For this reason I'll watch my email and texts as well as check the app for deals. read more

We ordered their Diet Cherry Limeade, Mango Slush with fresh strawberries, and a chili cheese Jr wrap. With their limeades and slushes, you can't go wrong when drinks are half off with happy hour. They're icy and refreshing while the chili cheese jr wrap was a nice snack for on-the-go! It's basically a small tortilla, chili, and fritos inside.It wasn't bad for a 99-cent snack. My girlfriend wanted to give Sonic a try for the first time so we came thru, and parked to order. We ordered a popcorn chicken combo, a peanut butter shake, and pickle fries. Service was really slow, we waited almost 15 minutes for our food to come out and the girl who brought out our order was rude. Nevertheless we decimated everything since we were hungry. The popcorn chicken was dry, the pickle fries were getting soggy, and we didn't receive nearly as many sauce packets as we had asked for; but the drinks were good. The strawberry lemonade was refreshing and my girlfriend really enjoyed her shake. Our overall experience wasn't anything special, and we were stuck in our spot for nearly ten minutes, just waiting for the drive thru line to creep forward enough to get out. The food is always good. Sonic is always a great late night food place when I'm hungry. However the service was absolutely abysmal. I order two chicken sandwiches and said "no pickles" however the screen said "no mayo" which then I was politely pointing out that I wanted no pickles and I wanted the mayo, before I could get it out, the worker very rudely said "yeah, I know, no pickles it was a misclick" which I replied with "no worries". However, when I got home I see that there was no mayo on my sandwich but pickles on it. I'm glad I'm not allergic to pickles and can take them off but if it was someone that was allergic to pickles it would not be a good look on sonic. I haven't been to a Sonic in more than 10 years, and based on other's observations, I was a little nervous. Long story short - the food was great! My husband chose the "Chicken "Slinger." He enjoyed their version of a fried chicken slider. I chose the corn dog, which was perfect. The onion rings were hot, fresh out of the fryer, and incredibly crunchy. Where I feel it took a little left turn is in the sweet batter. My brain didn't know how to register the combination. That said, I would definitely order them again. My husband's free cherry limeade (thanks, Yelp and Sonic!) was tart and sweet. However, the mango flavor in my Slushie was not mango. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't mango. They need to go back to the test kitchen on that one. But in the hospitality industry, service is everything. The lady taking orders in the drive-thru sounded like she was less than thrilled to be there and borderline rude. I went through the drive thru and ordered a burger without cheese, mayo and ketchup but with mustard. I checked my burger when I received it and it had mayo on it. I asked to get it made right. One of the employees came to the window. I believe her name was Jeanae and she said "the receipt says no ketchup no cheese so now you want me to make it without mayo". She was extremely rude.
