Such and EASY and convenient experience renting a UHaul from here. A gentleman, who may have been the owner, was so helpful and nice. Returned the truck same day and no issues, just returned the keys and was emailed a receipt a few hours later. Thanks guys! You're awesome! Also, great selection of booze! read more

1 Star -- Mystery Box Did Not Match Advertised Value Unfortunately, I'm extremely disappointed with my experience with Keg N Bottle. I purchased their $200 Mystery Whiskey Box, which was advertised as including $200 in value of bottles from Keg N Bottle. The two bottles I received were: * NULU Night Chapter 1 -- $69.99 on their website ($89.99 regular price) * Luckenbach Road 3-Year Straight Bourbon -- $69.99 That puts the actual current retail value of my $200 mystery box at $139.98. Even if you ignore the sale price and use the higher regular price, the value is still only $159.98. I understand that a mystery box is a gamble as far as which bottles you receive. I was completely fine with that. What I wasn't expecting to gamble on was whether I would actually receive the $200 in value that was advertised. I reached out to Keg N Bottle directly and gave them an opportunity to explain the discrepancy or make it right before leaving a negative review. I have not received a response. I purchase whiskey regularly and was hoping this would be a company I could continue ordering from. Unfortunately, advertising a $200 value, delivering significantly less than that, and then not responding to the customer is unacceptable to me. If Keg N Bottle reaches out and makes this right, I will absolutely update my review to reflect that. Until then, I cannot recommend the mystery box based on my experience. read more

Checked out the bistro. Pretzel bites, sliders, grilled cheese with tomato soup, fish and chips and calamari. Food was good for run no of the mill bistro. Nothing amazing but good and satisfying. Fish and chips was tilapia not cod. Gets a bit loud in the dining area because of high ceilings. Service was great though and it's a good regular weeknight spot or place to meet up with people they have a little sometii hi ing for everyone. read more

This place is amazing. Met the owner Tony about 2 years ago. Tony and his family are amazing. This is a family owned business who have multiple locations and did I mention they have a restaurant?! From high end bottles to the norms, they literally have it all and they're always looking to hook you up with deals!! KnB cares more than just their customers but their staff as well. If you spoke to the staff members they have nothing but great things to say about the Konja family. Would highly recommend ! read more

It is an awesome place - they have everything that you could think of -it is my go to place now - it is a 5 star place

Keg n bottle is a little gem little gem in the Mt. streets of Clairemont. It is always stocked with all the spirits you need. The owner always goes out of his way to make sure his customers are satisfied. If you need to rent a U-Haul he has those as well. I've been a customer for several years. Stop by and check it out. read more

Ships quick, packaged perfectly, reasonably priced and great selection! Will continue to use KnB for all my allocated purchases!

Be careful what you order! They are so cheap they did not even include the box on an $80 bottle of Casa Dragones tequila. Really!!!! They are going to make horrendous holiday gifts just a bottle wrapped in a million layers of plastic wrap. Read the fine print and don't trust these cheap a$$ liquor dealers (if you really want to call them that!).Thanks a million Keg N Bottle, you really showed your true cheap spirit (no pun intended). read more

Order online from Keg N Bottle at your own risk. Terrible packaging on multiple bottle orders that results in breakage. Customer service is nonexistent and will not replace orders due to their substandard packaging. I'll never order a single thing online from them again, hot garbage. read more

Hidden in a strip mall, which is buried in a residential section, this liquor store is well off the beaten path. Plenty of parking out front and wide array of typical convenience store items with matching convenience store prices. The employees were friendly enough, keeping both registers available for quick check-out, and I noticed a steady stream of locals stopping by. Keg N Bottle nicely fills a niche for the surrounding residents, however, I wouldn't drive out of my way simply because I have closer and less expensive options to where I live. read more

Good selection, but super overpriced. The people are nice and knowledgeable on the liquor.

This place is straight out of nowhere! Apologies to the people living around here. Literally driving with google maps and bam inside this old strip mall is this place. Four stars just for carrying the Screwball Whiskey. See you next time when grab another case to stock up. read more

Before heading to the in-laws, I asked my buddy if we could hit up a place that sells some craft brews for our Yearly Holiday Bottle Sharing event. I had to laugh when he brought us to this part of the in-law's neighborhood I've never been before. Located less than a mile away from our destination, resides a brightly lit storefront in what looked like an abandoned dilapidated strip mall. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/keg-n-bottle-san-diego?select=NQsLYtAMip9NT3sTQrHWVQ#NQsLYtAMip9NT3sTQrHWVQ I was a lil skerd getting out of the car at this time of night as I imagined this would be a perfect setting for a scene in the Walking Dead. Upon entering the Keg N Bottle I made a b-line for the refrigerated beer section. I found myself in front of an EXCELLENT craft bomber selection. Most from the S.D. area breweries and several rarities that are hard to come by in my local neighborhood liquor joints. KNB has a non-refrigerated section in the rear next to entry way of walk-in fridge dedicated to craft beers. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/keg-n-bottle-san-diego?select=NQsLYtAMip9NT3sTQrHWVQ#v1cD6lOHBrt0e9gIEoRN_w Quite a few beers & breweries I've never heard of before! Apparently lots of others haven't heard of some of these as we had to blow the dust off some of the bottles we picked up to inspect. The walk-in fridge features 6ers, cases of crafts & run-of-the-mill domestic coldies. Lined up in the middle of the walk-in sits kegs & kegs...and more kegs. All cold & ready for you to pick up. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/keg-n-bottle-san-diego?select=NQsLYtAMip9NT3sTQrHWVQ#OUQ9uvaLVI58BodYMa4Omw We walked out of there with several bottles from Bear Republic, Mother Earth, Russian River & Left Coast; including a few Christmas Ales & Winter Warmers for our bottle sharing Christmas tradition...let's not forget a couple bottles of wine for the wives. By the way, I got off on the cheap as some of the beers purchased would easily be a couple bucks more per bottle in my neck of the woods. I look forward to my next visit (during the day) & loading the back of my truck with some of these hard to find bottles. CHEERS! read more

Don't buy Liquor from here they sell 40 dollar bottles for 100 bucks what a joke Price gouging.

This review is for the U-Haul part of this place. I made a reservation online, and then came here first thing in the AM when they just opened. Guy was super friendly and helped me out with my 10' truck rental. No pressure sales on adding extra stuff to your rental. I did request to add the insurance option though, super cheap and peace of mind for me. The truck itself is worn, it was a dependable ride. I was bit nervous driving a huge truck, especially since I commute with a roadster hahaha. But, the truck was not bad at handling at all. You just gotta allow yourself more time and space on the road. Remember to allow yourself enough time to refuel the gas tank before you return it back. I would rent a U-Haul from this place again if I am in the area. Thanks Keg N Bottle! read more

I utilized their uhaul side of the business at this local location. I reserved a large truck online, and upon arrival next day some now the reservation was canceled, however they were still able to accommodate my request for the large truck on spot and really helped me out. Definitely better than going to most actual uhaul locations here in SD. I will use them again. read more

Came to drop off a Uhaul, left with beer. Really good selection of beers, and they have a beer cave. Which is a walk-in freezer with some really good local brews. They also have Apple Pay & a huge plastic partition for those practicing social distancing. They just need to stock up on more Pizza Port Chronic! read more

i dub thee, secret suburban booze shop. seriously...i went 2 years living in the neighborhood never knowing this place existed. cruisin' in the mt. streets, shaking my head at the abandoned gas station right across from homes; i never would have imagined this lil liquor store was hiding behind it. with patriotic flags strung across the front, it screams in silence of its fermented liquid deliciousness available. no, its not the best deal around. never gonna compete with places like vons down the way. but as a local store it rocks in a lot of ways: friendly mom and pop type staff sales on some pretty tasty wine -- spent $5 on a red that was delicious and not headache wine! lots of variety in refrigerated beer - standard stuff, local craft beer, individual bottles back room of individual specialty beers -- definitely the cool and distinguishing factor of this place guarantee of products - the cork had gone bad in one of the wines (residue crap in bottom) and we were given 50% off the next wine we purchased read more

These guys just stare at you when you walk in, even if you're a regular. I've been in here 400-500 times over the last 10+ years and maybe a dozen times they said hey how's it going.. I don't need to be best friends with them but geez man, say hi when your customers walk into your quiet liquor store. It's kind of awkward because it almost feels like you're bothering them when you come in to make a purchase. At least the beer is cold even tho it is over priced. It's convenient being the "neighborhood liquor store" but man, I'd save $3-$5 each purchase if I just go a few more blocks down the street to 7-11. I like supporting local business but the prices get bumped up about once a year. Owner is only there on Mondays and just wants that paycheck. He needs to be a bit more loyal to the local community. read more

Reserved a uhaul to picked up at Keg N bottle. The owner was fantastic! He had a great sense of humor and very helpful. Would've been nice if he threw in that 250 dollar bottle of Johnny walker for my uhaul rental but hey I'm not gonna give him less stars for not doing so! read more

Great customer service and decent prices on kegs. It's in a small corner of Clairemont, but don't let that stop you.

Called in asking if they had a particular beer, was told yeah, but hadn't received in the shipment, I then asked did they have an idea when they would get it in. The employee then responds oh I have way to many customers to figure that out for you. Thanks guy, sooooo helpful. read more

Showed up for my 26' truck, The battery was dead. Then, he reversed the charges and has no idea when Ill get my money back, but he knows its not instantly. Now Im stuck with no money for the next truck, my lease has ended, I have no where to go. Told me to go elsewhere for a truck, but I cant afford it because my funds are on hold due to him cancelling without my consent, nor did he contact me to let me know what was going on. Selfishly only cares about himself. I will never go here, or to uhaul again! read more

I went today to buy some wine bottles for a birthday present for a friend. I'm not a wine fanatic, so I didn't even know were to start. They had a wide range of wine & beer. The guy at the register was super nice & helpful. He asked me if it was my first time there & gave me a few suggestions on wine. I work really close to this place, so I will definitely be back to check out their beer section! & not to mention their wine is really affordable! I can't wait to come back. read more

This was a nice neighborhood shop that has a wide range of beers. If you are a heavyweight craft drinker, you'll be able to find a few heavyweight beers. If you need something a little more well-known, they got ya covered. The selection isn't mind-blowing, but if you happen to be close, pop in for a few items! read more

Huge beer selection if you're OK with dramatically overpaying. Last year, they expanded with a huge walk-in cooler, stocked to the brim with craft and import beers. If you crave it, it's here. Very expensive, however, even for basic domestic brew. They also have a non-refrigerated wine selection that varies from "What's that?" to "Wow, they carry THAT here!?". It fluctuates month to month. They also have all the standard mixers and juices like most other liquor stores. I love that they keep WHIPPED CREAM in stock! I knocked a star off for the horrible, unpredictable hours they keep. No sign, no standard. You never know when they're going to be open! They typically close very early (around 8pm on weeknights). read more

This is a great store. Not only great service for convenience but they also rent out uhauls which we used for my daughter and it was a smooth transaction and reasonable. The other day I accidentally left my preschoolers school work on the counter when I went to buy my son chips. Robbie didn't throw it out but waited for one of the teachers to stop in, and they were back in my hands today when I dropped my daughter off at school. He could have just thrown it out. Thank you Robbie. You have the #1 liquor store in my book. read more

The joys of moving... packing & unpacking, boxes & tape guns, family & friends come together, uhaul truck, & Keg N Bottle... yup, not only does KNB have almost every alcohol beverage known to mankind... YOU can rent a uhaul truck! Joey was so cool. He was sweet & laughed at my dumb jokes... great for my ego since I've been up partying all night. & by partying i mean all night packing parties. Thanks Joey! read more

This is a really strange store. Unlike it's sibling in the College Area, which is huge and bustling, this one is quiet and has a smaller beer selection. Not everything is cold (which is a good thing), and several of the bottles have a good bit of dust. That said, we visited on our house-hunting trip and found some extremely rare (and very well-aged) beers that we still talk about. read more

I went to pick up the Uhaul from this liquor store in San Diego. There was only one person working and made me wait with a 6 month old baby while he attended to customers who can in after me to buy their items. This location absolutely needs another person working. Furthermore, he gave me the key and told me to find the truck. The truck was in a lot hidden from the rest of the trucks. He should've brought me to the truck. Absolute worst service. read more

Only place in San Diego that sells "El Dorado" 12 yrs aged. Thanks again for carrying this amazing rum.

Good selection, but prices on beer are horrible. Pliny the Elder is normally $4.99, they sell it for $7. Bourbon County Stout is normally $15, they sell it for $20. Across the board you'll pay on average of $2-3 more per large bottle and $1-2 more per six pack. read more

Great assortment of beers and helpful staff. Only downside is the location. The shop is sandwiched in an old and tired looking strip mall.

Pretty good deal. I got a keg, picked it up. turned it back. I remember getting a keg from here for my 22nd birthday. It was pretty beast and the beer is what you pay for. My friend once bought a keg and the beer tasted like water. THIS IS NOT THAT PLACE. I trust this place to bring me the beer that I asked for. Good stuff guys. read more
