Hello, we really like the sonic breakfast burrito. It's very tasty. We have a sonic close to our house and whenever we go there it takes a very long time to prepare our breakfast burritos. The employee at the window apologizes for the long wait and says that it's only her and the cook. Why don't you hire more employees? And please don't say that no one wants to work. If you treat the employees properly and pay them a decent wage, they will work. Why don't you value your employees? One sonic in our town has already closed and we hope the other two do not close, but when you have to wait 17 minutes in the drive-through for a breakfast burrito, it is just too long to wait when you're on your way to work. We love the breakfast burrito and the employees are nice and apologetic. Apparently it is the management that does not want to hire more employees. read more

Food was awful!!! My husband ordered a cheeseburger, it was so greasy it fell apart in his hand, I ordered a #11 with onion rings instead of fries and a unsweetened iced tea with sweetner and a sprite for my husband, so we get the order and it is... the cheeseburger 2 drinks and a order of undercooked and soggy onion rings!! That was $19.63 I believe, then when the rude girl who took our order brought it out, not only did she have caterpillars as eyelashes, she was rude and condescending. I told her my sandwich was missing this made her even rude then before, she said she would send it out The lady who brought out my missing sandwich then told me I had to pay $6.59 for my missing sandwich. I get the sandwich 1 it is burnt (yuck) and so dry i could not eat more than 2 bites!!! The whole $25.00 crappy meal went in the trash!!! We will never go to the sonic on Mount Rushmore Rd ever again!!!! Horrible service horrible food!!!! read more

Ordered a few burgers and for some reason it took 40 mins to get my food after charging me.. don't recommend this place they are rude as well.. read more

Went through the drive-through - got a Sonic double burger/bacon/cheese, med onion rings and med taters. I asked about a plain hamburger and they said they could do that. Considering it was just a plain hamburger I thought it would be around $2. Well, don't buy the plain, single patty burger here - it was $4.98 - whereas the sonic double patty with cheese and bacon was $6.95 or 98 whatever - that kinda made the experience sickening. I know food is more expensive here, and it's a tourist area, but really, they should tell you of a cheaper option for a plain burger. Service was a little slow but the other stuff was okay, no sauce or condiments offered with the onion rings or tater tots (lil oily) so won't be going back for those. read more

The bun was dry and the burger and cheese was old. Tomato had the core left in it. Definitely was not a pump fresh burger as advertised! Very disappointed... read more

They were busy and under-staffed the day we were here. Many places are under-staffed now so we did not hold this against them. The waitress was very apologetic and they really tried hard to get us our food quickly, despite the challenges. The food was pretty typical for Sonic. read more

First off, it's 9:30 pm and they close at 10pm. They turn off the lights while you're waiting to order. Then they ran out of hot dogs. So I asked for a bacon cheeseburger to my surprise it neither had bacon or cheese. This Sonic by far has the worst customer service. I had decided to give it a second chance which was an epic fail once again. I guess no one takes pride in their work ‍ But it should be this difficult read more

We stopped in for a bite and used the drive up machine to place our order. Funny thing was we ordered item after item and for each one was asked if we wanted certain vegetables, kind of drink, type of fries and thinking we got a complete order was asked again the same thing after...Hard to tell if she just didn't ask us to repeat it thinking it was rude or if she just forgot to plug in the details prompting her to ask the same thing over again. It did frustrate us a tad bit and wondered what kind of employees work here but the gal taking the order through the machine actually came out personally to deliver what she knew was accurate and to clarify the other half of the order so I thought that was big if her character. Other than that the food is as expected after all it is sonic and it was good. The starburst drink I had for the first time and I wasn't a fan but again the food was good! read more

Bro literally put mayo on the burger, forgot the condiments and then got mad when we sent it back to get remade then the second cheeseburger had bacon on it when it was just ketchup and mustard. Then she forgot the napkins we asked for multiple times read more

Wow you people really are horrible at customer service. I ordered a route 44 drink through doordash and got a large. My food was cold and the drink was wrong. I'd leave 0 that's ZERO stars if I could but I can't read more

The worst drive thru service in rapid city usually 10 to 20 min wait if it's going to be awhile why don't they pull car ahead or go in a stall so they can keep line moving like other places do read more

I can't believe this woman spilt my tots!!! Not the car hopper my passenger thankfully they were replaced free of charge and immediately. Food was every bit of the Sonic you come to expect. Came in a few times actually maybe 4 and while I usually enjoy sweet tea with my meal I was talked into a cherry limeade and while not my cup of tea (pun intended) was delicious nonetheless. Great service quick friendly check check check returning is a must. Gotta love them tots! read more

Once waited 30 minutes for 3 simple shakes. Ordered a hot fudge and peanut butter shake. Then heard the person next to me order a hot fudge shake to which the employee said they had ran out of hot fudge... I pressed the button again and said "I've been waiting 30 minutes now for 3 shakes. Just heard you're out of fudge?" The employee said "no, we have fudge, it will be out in a minute." So I try the shake in question... the "hot fudge" was hard like it was scooped out of the fudge container into the shake (not mixed in literally like a ball) and no peanut butter... I will not be returning to this location. read more

We went to Sonic and ordered a hamburger strictly no cheese and they gave us a cheeseburger. We got to our hotel and I figured out that they gave us a cheeseburger and I had to throw it away. My friend told me that his burger made him want to throw up. Ever since then I always check my food that I get from a drive through. You should not go there bad burger. read more

It's everything you would expect a great Sonic to be. They were quick, friendly, and the food was very good and flavorful. The drive up and seating areas are clean and well maintained. This is a shining examples of a well executed fast food restaurant. read more

Thanks for not giving us any service. We pushed the button and waited and waited and waited. Then I got pissed and left. Guess where I went. Yup. Mcdonalds. Did I get service, yes. Did I get food, yes. Did I have a Reese's shake, yes. Do I give a shit about sonic anymore, hell no. And I got a better shake. Everyone at this sonic should be fired. And I paid less, win, win, for me. Thank you sonic. -5 in the yelp scale. read more

Pretty simple. Don't go through the drive through unless you want to wait 30 minutes even with a short line ahead of you...

Stopped by for a quick bite before site seeing this morning. The service was fast, accurate, and most importantly hot. You could tell my hamburger was made to order as was my friend's breakfast burrito. read more

Idk call me crazy but when you order French toast sticks it usually comes with syrup not ketchup ... so after asking several times and failed to do so this is for them . Whichever employee thought this would be funny well you're moms a hoe read more

I'm not a fan of this food. I taste a sweetness to the the burgers. Their drinks are good.

I'm giving this restaurant 5 stars the manager on duty took our order over the phone because the one on the other side of town best up our order gave us drinks to were not what we ordered and completely messed everything out then we went to the other ones to young other 1 only 1 answer their phone the CO manager that was on duty today was fantastic phenomenal and made all of our food from fresh and double checked all the drinks and everything else I give her 510 stars if I could but I'm gonna give you the 5 right now read more

Great service. Fast!!! This location is much better than our home location in Colorado. Thanks for a great lunch!

Sonic drive in @ 2316 Mr Rushmore Rd, Rapid City, SD is one of the worst places to eat out if you prefer good customer service, friendly employees, food prepared correctly, etc. 12/1/17 & 12/2/17 have made me NEVER want to go back there again!!!!! Not only was I told, "if you don't like the prices, you can go somewhere else," but the general manager was just as bad acting as though I was an annoyance in her way. I broke my tooth off from some over fried onion rings. This place obviously can't figure out how to do their job right, the first time. They need replaced with a restaurant that can. But if you are ever in Rapid City, SD and get a Sonic drive-in craving, the restaurant on Jackson Blvd is amazing and wouldn't allow for their employees to do or say what happens at this restaurant. I will be driving the extra 6 miles to go to them from this day forward. I didn't by even get refunded for the over charge on my receipt from Mt Rushmore Rd!! Sad, they are losing too many customers with their horrible attitudes, so they steal from the ones they do get. read more

I should've gone to the other Sonics in town. I ordered a pretzel & mozzarella sticks & asked if I could get cheese for the pretzel & the employee said "it comes with it" in such an irritated tone that I didn't want to ask about marranera sauce but decided it was very important & asked anyway & she said "yes the sauce comes with the mozzarella sticks like the pretzel" in an even more irritated tone. & my popcorn chicken was practically deep fried rocks all in all a very poor experience. read more

The people that so called work there have an apparent attitude and dont seem to want to serve the customer. Made up a bunch of sorry excuses about not having ice cream at 7:30 on a Saturday night. We promptly went somewhere else and will not spend another dime at this place. read more

If you like terrible service from people who give YOU attitude when its taking them 5 minutes to put in an order and then to be overcharged then come here! Tried to talk to them about the overcharging and they admitted to charging for the wrong thing but refused to fix it. Save your time and your money- if you really want sonic go to the Mountain View location. read more

Went here twice in one day.... First time wanted cheese and bacon on chicken..... didn't get it.. gave them another chance and went back for drinks. What do ya know they brought my shake out with a broken bottom in the cup so it leaked all over my car! Never again... Oh and did I mention it took 10 minutes! McDonalds or Culver's is where I will go next time! read more
