It's almost overwhelming all the different types, but hey, just go back and get another kind later! Their chicken salad is probably the best in town. It has flavor and larger pieces of chicken, so it's not a spread like others in town. Their pimento spread is great for parties as well. They have tons of different cheeses and olives and different Calandros brand goodies. Their produce is always fresh and reliable. They don't tend to cater to special diets, so if you have special dietary needs or restrictions, you may have to go to another store for those. But by nature, you can find items that will work for you. Top all of that with friendly owners, friendly staff, and friendly people all around, and it always makes an enjoyable shopping experience!

I also had the pleasure to meet this family again at a local pop up market and learned their lemonade is actually in a number of local stores!! I wish I had pics to add but I finished the bottle before realizing it, lol! I recommended their lemonade to a few friends who also fell in love (and they are some touch critics). Of course, everyone's taste and preferences are different but this is the best way I can explain the lemonade to those who may be curious and want to try: it is truly a great blend of sweet and tart. You can taste the freshly squeeze lemons in this beverage. The sugar comes in to tone down the sour but don't worry-- it's not overly sweet, sugary, or syrup-y (if that makes sense). Every sip tastes like you bough a cup from a homemade lemonade stand but in a bottle. Because I feel this lemonade is at a happy medium, I think everyone should give it a try where'd you are more of a sweet lemonade person or tart lemonade person. Brother (CHARLES) is a Vietnam Veteran who bought the buisness when he got out of the service in 1970, Thanksgiving Day & has been serving the locals & passersby ever since. He has also diversified his business by offering a catering service for weddings, banquets & social events in the local area. If you're ever in the area, come in, have a drink, & catch up on the local gossip. If Brother tells you it's Christmas, you better go hang your stockings!

How lucky were we that this place is open 24 hours!…read more An airport mishap caused our bags to go missing and probably won't make it to our hotel until the next day... maybe two... so we stopped by to score basic needs - mostly toiletries. Staff was friendly - even during odd hours of the night - "You have no toiletries?" (Clearly she knew we were tourists.) We explained the whole missing bags thing to clear that up. They had everything we needed - clothes included - because who knows how long before our bags get delivered! Prices were reasonable - none of the tourists rates some places charge. What made it better is that it was only a couple of blocks away from our hotel. We returned a couple more times during the week for more basic stuff - mostly snacks, water and other rehydrating drinks. What I mostly appreciated is how conveniently located it is. In the situation we were in, we were grateful for it being where it is!

I walk in and immediately see all of the cheap wine available there so I started taking pictures of it and Mike went looking for the buzz balls that are super tasty like a mild mudslide and he grabbed 4 of them while talking to an old man in the back of the place. So I grab 2 bottles 1 Gallo Cabernet Sauvignon and 1 Gallo Moscato sweet white wine which were $5 bones a piece and we got up to the counter and Mike offered to buy the old man's wine!!
