I was going to go grocery shopping and didn't want to shop hungry so I decided to bounce into Sonic for a quick bite to eat. That was a mistake. I ordered a jalapeño cheeseburger and tots. I also asked for a Dr. Pepper. The place wasn't busy so I didn't understand the 25 minute wait. I decided to go and started backing out of the stall I was in. A young lady came running out with my order shouting excuse me. I pulled back in and got my order and paid. Everything was cold so I knew it had been setting there for awhile. Plaquemine sonic....... Come on. Please don't try the app at this location. For one it took 5 minutes for the order to go through, then it took 20 minutes ( no exaggerations at all ) for the order to say on its way on the screen. 25 minutes into waiting, the car hop came out and said she has no strawberries to make one of our drinks that I made EXTRA for.. then she came back 5 minutes later and didn't say a word and literally set the tray of food on my car. Then we had to take our own drinks off that tray... terrible experience. Then we got the fried cookie dough bites. No ice cream in the bag. We told her & she took the bag back & we said well can we at least have our cheese sticks. She handed us back the bag & went back to the kitchen. 5 minutes later she came back and said "my manager said the cookies are at the bottom of the bag"....... We had the cookies the whole time, no ice cream. We just left at this point. Her name was Rose. Absolutely terrible. Longest wait at a "fast food" restaurant. Those cheese sticks are the only reason this place is still in service. read more

They don't have what's on the app. They are the rudest ppl. Which is crazy since they depend on their "customers" to keep them employed. 8/10 times the food is not very good or horrible. Sonic used to have the best drinks. They are pretty bad nowadays. Definitely don't recommend this Sonic. Worse sonic ever. Rude people. When you order something and pay for extra then you should get what you paid for. I ordered cookie dough and m&m blast with extra m&m and cookie dough but I only got an m&m blast with barely any m&Ms. Worse place. Sonic in Plaquemine needs better staff.​ read more

Sitting here in the line in Sonic. No one is hardly here but I e been sitting here literally 15 minutes waiting on a $1.69 chicken sandwich. Unfortunately, I am not a fan. For an establishment that looks like it could be so much fun, seems like it is an equivalent to a gas station service mart. The employees here don't seem to care much because even when there is hardly any customers, they are still pretty slow. Usually, when people drive up for food they are pretty hungry and don't want to wait long for fast food, right? The quality is just, eh. I have only needed to come here out of pure desperation, when hunger strikes and I will eat pretty much anything. Waited over 30 minutes then just gave up, at the 15 minute mark, delivered bag of food with cold fries and some kind of sandwich, 1st problem, that was no where near my order. I ordered the new bacon chili hot dog, Jr. sonic burger, TATER TOTS and drink. 15 more minutes go by, I decide I need to get back to work, since I like my "job", I tell them can you refund my card, I need to get to work. Then it's all kind of commotion, 3 minutes later same guy I told I wanted a refund brings me out food, I said I canceled order I want my credit card refund, manager comes out says 1st person was new and grabbed wrong bag but my order had BEEN Ready, I said "it's 40 mins now you want me to take bag that's been sitting for almost 30 mins?????" Decided to check this place out after it reopened and I have to say, great work!!! Place looks amazing and completely upgraded! Not only was the staff friendly, but service was quick and my food and blast shake tasted great! Will definitely be checking out this location again! read more

It reopened under new ownership recently... have to say the food was much better and the service was speedy and a vast improvement from what it was. I'd definitely recommend everyone trying it back out! read more

This is the worst sonic I have been too. On 4 different occasions I have given them a chance and they have brought the wrong food each time. When asked to fix the problem they do not come back read more

Took 20 mins to get my order and then it was wrong. Fries were cold and stale and the lemonade after being made "correctly" had wayyyy too much syrup in it. I had to water it down. As of now I've been waiting 15 mins on fresh fries and still haven't received any. Worst service ever...I should've driven 20 minutes in the other direction for food. Never again. read more

Thinking I would give these guys another chance after not visiting the establishment in several months, hoping there was a complete employee turnaround...I went back. Being diabetic I was pushing my limits on eating. I waited from 10:40am until 11:20am. From the time I ordered until I received my greasy luke-warm tater-tots and a haphazardly slapped together, cold hamburger. Fast food?? Never has been fast!! Horrible Service and bland stale food. Over the last 4 years the quality and service has diminished to just plain terrible. Every once in a while I stop by to see if anything has improved and once again I am amazed by the lack of quality service. I finally have given up on this Sonic. If nothing changes eventually everyone else will also. This location definitely gives the Sonic name a bad image. read more
