Ordered through DoorDash tonight due being under the weather. Ordered two shakes, garlic butter burger combo with onion rings, and a pretzel with cheese + honey mustard sauce on the side. I was so excited to get the food since I've been unable to stomach real food until tonight. Can't comment anything about the ambience though since we didn't go there. Garlic butter butter: 2/10 - everything was slapped on very messy and there was NO garlic butter sauce on it, The burger was dry and I kid you not when I said not a single drop of the garlic butter sauce on my bun as seen in my photos. Really disappointing. Not Juicy at all and the worst part? I had one small piece of bacon on it!!! Pretzel and cheese dip: 1/10 - absolutely hard and dry. Also never got the cheese dip nor the honey mustard sauce. It had no flavor and I was eating tasteless cardboard. Shakes - 2/10: they weren't even filled up all the way! I had the banana shake with Oreo pieces and caramel and my husband got the Oreo cheesecake milkshake. We could not even tell the difference in flavors. They tasted and looked the same! Most likely it was probably the exact same thing lol. I'm so disappointed but not surprised anymore. This location used to be alot better with their service and the food was always good to me. However, they've gotten have dramatically downhill in customer service, quality of food, and just overall unappealing. Probably not ordering from here again unfortunately. Highlight of our night was our really nice dasher so was super patient, pleasant, and nice! He made sure we got our order as fast as possible. Would absolutely not recommend this location, I have always loved Sonic 's food over the years since college but this one missed the mark completely. read more

Awful. Waited over 10 mins for my food. They need to change the oil. Like NOW. The majority of my food tastes like old oil. My throat hurts from how much oil gushed out of the fries. This location is absolutely failing at the concept of "Fast" food. I waited at the drive thru speaker for over 10 min before someone actually acknowledged me and stated "can you please hold, we have 6 orders on our screen". It was at least another 5 min before my order was taken. I ordered the following: 2 pretzel sticks 1 med fries with groovy sauce 1 slushy 2 blasts I waited another 8 min at the window before my order was handed to me. However, they didn't get the order right and failed to give me the 2 blasts and the groovy sauce. Waited another 5-8 min for the rest of my order. By my estimation I spent 28-30 min in this establishments drive thru. The staff is under staffed, unapologetic, inefficient and act as if you are bothering them by bringing your business to their restaurant. Either close down or walk down the street and take a few pointers from chic fil a on how to run a successful fast food restaurant. Until then, I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

It's Saturday at1pm. There are 4 cars in the stalls. I waited for 20 minutes in a stall, before they came on and told me they would be right w me. Waited an additional 10 minutes then they came on and asked me to move to a different stall this speaker doesn't work good. I have never in my life had to wait long here haha. What a lot of people don't understand is fleming island establishments often have high schoolers working. Not maybe this one in particular at this time. But what do you expect from fast food haha. Me personally ? They put no fudge on top of my milkshake. It was one dollop. A shame really. No, I did not get to order but the employee Olivia came out to us outside and told us the issue and she was so professional and kind. How could I not give her some props. Waited 20 minutes past the expected delivery time for the food. Pressed the call button and waited 5 more minutes with no answer before I pressed the button again. Finally, answered the call only to be told "yeah, we're making it now". Now, as in 25 minutes past the expected pick up time. Then, they're out of sprite, so that's two drinks I'm out. And the icing on the cake? When I pulled up, there was an employee leaning into a car parked in the next stall apparently taking a smoke break. Used the app to order ahead (at the Fleming Island location), and by the time I arrived and parked (only a few mins in between), my order was ready at the stall. Whitney was prompt and totally on top of things. My order was 100% correct, hot, and even included napkins, condiments and mints. (Believe it or not, more fast food restaurants than not these days often forget straws, napkins, etc). Oh and using the app, all drinks were half price for happy hour. Latest visit a few days ago: service is still slow, but food and ice cream was delicious! I have a gluten sensitivity and did not mention it- I ordered a grilled chicken breast and fries. The girl taking my order asked if I had an allergy and said she couldn't guarantee it would be safe from cross contamination. My allergy is not severe and I was fine with that but that made my day. She came out with a smile and apologized for the wait, and brought a variety of sauces incase I wanted one! The stalls do not work. The service is not great (workers were yelling out from the back door that speaker didn't work and to go to a stall that also didn't work) . I tried two stalls AND the drive through and even that was not working. It was really Frustrating, with hungry kids in the car. There's nothing like a blistering hot sun shining day, with blue skies, white clouds and a rout 44 watermelon slushy with extra flavoring to not only quench my thirst but to cool me down. If you haven't guessed it already, thats my favorite drink I order it at least 2 times a week and they pretty much know its me thats ordering it lol. The service is quick, fast, friendly and I'm always invited to come back lol. Yesterday I deviated from my usual just a bit and ordered a chili dog along with my watermelon slushy. As I was driving away i realized I had just a plain hotdog on a bun. I walked up to the door and inside the sonic and the minor issue was dealt with swiftly and i was immidatly reasured that this was an accident and appologized for any inconvenience. My college classes are now down in the Fleming Island area. I was in kind of a hurry on my first day due to being asked to be the teacher's assistant for an EV course, so I stopped at Sonic to grab a quick bite before heading to class. I didn't find anything out of the ordinary with my usual order of a Chicago Dog, a New York dog, and a Cherry Limeade. Luckily, I got here just before 5 o'clock and was able to take advantage of the Happy Hour special with my drink. For how slow it was, it did seem to take a bit to have my food brought out, but maybe they just happened to get slammed with a few orders at the same time. Decided to give Sonic in FI another try, and we were reminded why we do not eat here. The wait was atrociously long, and our food was very disappointing. The bottom bun of our burger was solid, and everything was cold. The meat, in addition to being cold, was extremely salty. I immediately got chapped lips, and had to consume two bottles of water in order to alleviate my need to be rushed to the ER for dehydration concerns. I wouldn't recommend this place; however, if you are craving the combination of salt packets and cold beef, this may be just the place for you! read more

He asked again what I ordered and after I repeated myself a bit of an argument ensued between him and a co-worker. He then informed me that they gave someone else my food and he would get the fries. I spent almost 20 minutes from the time I got into the drive thru until I left the parking lot. But anyway, my original review was.... Generally I figure most fast food places are the same but this one seems to have a hard time with what I would think would be pretty basic orders. If I ask for a hamburger with no cheese, 4 out of 5 times this location will hand me a cheeseburger. After many disappointing experiences, I never leave without doubling checking my order. The customer service isn't very good but also isn't the worst of any fast food chain around here. The food is standard Sonic fare, I love their tots and milkshakes. Good for drinks but I find the food generally lacking (fried pickles were particularly disappointing to me). Tends to be very full of teenagers because it's so close to FIHS. read more
