We really enjoy the big red sandwhich, I highly recommend. Our server, a lighter skinned black lady, left much to be desired. I think we saw her literally twice in our 50 minute stay. Once to take orders, once to drop the drinks off. The manager or other servers did everything else. Oh and she took the payment just fine, acting like she went above and beyond. I tried to mention this to the manager, Marcus. Now this was highly unprofessional, I was inquiring politely if it was normal to not see the server we started with for 30 minutes at a time. He looked at me bewildered, as if how dare I ask about the way he conducts the restaraunt. Like it was a personal insult. I forget exactly what he said but I gotta hand it to him, we are NEVER coming back here on account of this interaction. I'll order to-go, but will get it curbside. I have not been to Miller's ale house in sometime as I much prefer local family owned restaurants. However, we came here today because the place we were going to is not available and we had the distinct privilege of having Amora as our server. I asked her what she recommended when it came to the line chicken and she gave me her honest opinion and then suggested something that was not on the menu but was doable. This was to take the chicken Alfredo, but rather use Cajun Alfredo. Amora was spot on! It was delicious! The portions were also huge, which surprised me. My friend had the chicken Caesar, which he said was good and the hamburger looked great. I just did not have it. My only reservation is the musty smell when you walk in. The restaurant appeared to be clean, but there was a strange musty odor as if it was a very old building not well kept. It's been awhile since been this location and my son and I wanted to have a quick lunch. An order of zingers and salads, after 45 minutes and a salad was Placed on our table and doesn't even belong to us. Our waitress came back and we were told that the kitchen just started prepping our food and should be out in 5 minutes. After 10 minutes my Caesar Salad came out and looks like the lettuce is old, brown stuffs on leaves. So I just left some money on the table and left, waitress chased us and told us she can just have it in to go box in another 5 minutes. At that point after almost an hour, I'm not willing to spend another "5 minutes " waiting for the food. Horrible experience on this location. Never had any problems with any other Miller House location but this place. Never coming back, and won't even recommend this place to anybody that I know. read more

The fish was crispy and cooked perfectly. The fries were some of the best I've had in a long time. They were slightly crispy and seasoned to perfection. We had such a great experience during trivia night, and a huge part of that was thanks to our waiter, Ty. From the moment we sat down, he was friendly, attentive, and genuinely fun to be around. He kept our drinks filled, checked in at all the right times, and made sure we didn't miss a single question during trivia. The only downside is the prices are a little high for my liking, but they have different discount items on select days that helps make it more affordable. Not only was our server Ty excellent, but the fish and chips meal was the BEST I've ever tasted. The beer batter coating the fish was crisp without being greasy, and the 5 (yes, 5) filets were succulent. Fries and Cole slaw completed the meal and were also delicious. Came in late (for us with children) last night for dinner and had a great experience! The food was good, served hot, and the kitchen was quick! What made the night, though, was our server Danielle. From the time we sat down until we paid our bill she was attentive and conversational. She did a great job with our children, and paid us a little attention as well. When it came time for dessert, she provided a mini-sundae bar; something no one else has done before. Alehouse is my go to place for home cooked meals. I enjoy this place and you guys made me feel at home. My kids enjoyed their food. I was wet, and tired, and got off and jam packed interstate ( from Tampa ), and I always want to stop here for hot food and to relax. This is my second time visiting Millers Ale House in the Jacksonville area, but we visited the restaurant in Orange Park on this date. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and overall experience. We had a larger party and they accommodated us, during lunch time the Friday after thanksgiving near the Orange Park Mall and movie theater, perfectly well! I can't help but order the chicken zingers every time we come in, they are so flipping good. Our waitress, Katelyn, was delightful and friendly and accommodated us with everything we needed. The overall ambience of the resteraunt is great. My mom isn't a huge fan of bars that serve food, but she really likes the lay out of Millers Ale House. Went to enjoy a margarita for National Margarita Day! $2.22 for a Margarita. They were pretty good! Also ordered the Nashville Hot Fish sandwich. Just the right amount of heat accompanied by a sauce with a little kick. It was delicious! And we ordered the Mountain Melt - this was a platter full of "horribly bad" goodness - fried gooey cheese curds, French fries, zingers and onion rings. These onion rings looked very different from normal onion rings - they were black. We thought maybe they used a purple onion. Nope! They were burnt, like charcoal black burnt. Our waitress kindly brought us some fresh ones. We were surprised that the cook would even put them on a plate. That's my reason for the 3 stars. read more

Came in for lunch with my mom. The food was "okay". The speed of service and our waitress were amazing though considering how busy it was in there. I ordered a grilled chicken blt which was good, but the chicken itself had no flavor/seasoning. No biggie I just added salt. The onion rings, fries, and the fried jalapeños were all soggy though. Had another order of onion rings and those were over cooked so we didn't even touch those. I remember a time when I came in the and the food was always amazing. I don't know what changed. If there is turnover here, it's the management style. After 20 years in the industry, I've seen his type before, and good workers don't work for bad, entitled managers. Millers: get rid of this guy immediately if you want to retain good staff. The only reason I'm giving two stars is because the bartenders and kitchen were on point. Rhys was our server tonight. They were rushing us throughout our stay and made our entire party feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. For example, our appetizers had just arrived at the table and the meals were around five minutes behind them. Then, only a few moments later (less than halfway through our meals), Rhys stopped at the table and asked if we were ready for dessert. As our party was leaving the booth, Rhys barged through our party (which had created a central way for them to pass) and said "Step aside". Then walked back through the group seconds later saying, nearly inaudibly, "or not" and rolled their eyes. Service like this costs a business customers. We enjoy meeting friends here and the atmosphere in the place. Tonight's experience was less than I've ever had and a horrible first experience for half of our party. read more

We ordered 2 bowls of French onion soup and a order of zingers mountain melt - the fries were good and the Thai sweet chilly sauce was good but the chicken did not taste good, had a funny consistency and "shredded" when I tried to cut it. The French onion soup was not edible - it tasted burned the cheese was dry and burnt. Cloe our server got the order wrong (did not get the soup ) she then proceeded to argue!
