I live in Montgomery and this is the only Sonic here. It's a hit and miss with this location. They are very stingy with their products and we are the ones paying. I've received large drinks with nothing but pure ice on many occasions, milkshakes that literally were watery with one pump of whip! Now I drive all the way to Magnolia because the Sonic service over there is top notch and they are not stingy at all with the food orders that we are paying for. The workers here bringing your food are nice & that's the only positive thing I have to say. I tried to give them another chance tonight but nope my milkshake was sour and nasty I ended up throwing it away now I'm driving to magnolia to get another one. I go to this location as it is close to my home. But it's like a crap shoot with them. If you change the options of the meal you better check to see if they did it right. I ordered a SuperSONIC breakfast burrito combo without jalapeños. (2 of the last 3 times it has included jalapeños). I even asked this last time: there are no jalapeños right? And they said "no jalapeños ". I get home and guess what there are jalapeños. And I asked for some condiments which I didn't get. I don't know how hard it is for the employees to look at a ticket that tells you what to add on or take off an item. So lesson learned: always check your bag and items before leaving this Sonic. So I pulled up the app, entered my whole order, went to checkout, and they were experiencing "technical difficulties" (not at all uncommon for this location). So I moved to another spot that was working, pressed the button, placed my order verbally, and then it wouldn't read my card. I just want to order your food! You know, there's a reason this location has 2 star reviews. Every time I come here I have bad service. Unmelted cheese, cold beef patties, flat drinks, totally wrong order. I usually let it go because who really expects great service for fast food? Not me. But today? We were making our order and the ladies were yelling at us through the mic and making us repeat everything 5 or 6 times. I had to start yelling what I wanted and they still couldn't hear. I just got fed up with having to repeat myself that by the time they finally came out to our window to take our order I was ready to go. Attempted to place an order via thw sonic app and it said it was temporarily unavailable so we could get the 1.99 coneys. So I went to the drive and asked Alcyn if we could get the coneys for a 1.99. Had to ask for mayo which came in packets that I had to put on the sandwich which is tricky to do in a vehicle. Chicken was also very tough. Just got back from enjoying a great burger at this location. Sonic has really stepped up their game as the burger market has gotten very competitive. But to top it off, my old truck stalled when I backed out into the drive. After several attempts, two guys from inside came out and offered to push my truck out of the drive. I have been going to this Sonic drive-in for a few years now, mainly because the Whataburger near my neighborhood on Lake Conroe, has inferior food items. Until a week ago, Sonic has been my favored fast food restaurant. I ordered the new "chicken club" sandwich, which was served on a "blackened" bun (on the inside) and the top of the bun was dry and looked WRINKLED. The insides of the sandwich slid out of the bun when I tried to eat it. I could only salvage the chicken in the bun. I think that the cook must have previously cooked for Whataburger (mentioned above). I'll try Sonic again, but will ask them to tell the cook to NOT GRILL the buns, much less to smash down the top of the bun. The reason I didn't complain to the carhop is because it was not her fault and I didn't want to hurt her feelings. read more
