This is my confession to an interaction that plagues me nightly. To the worker here a couple months ago that watched me dig through my bag for seemingly minutes looking for my wallet, I am sorry. That fateful day, I had an MRI. My veins broke the needles for the IV twice, I almost vomited, the nurse was uncomfortably caressing my leg, and they somehow bruised my arm from where they were taping the gauze on. They brutalized me. The only thing I thought would make me less nauseous afterward was ice cream. A banana shake was all I could ever want. I pull up and order in person. This is where the fateful interaction happened. My bag isn't even large. I don't know how I missed my wallet so many times. What did I do to deserve this? Didn't I already shed enough blood? To make matters worse, I ordered a small. I severely overestimated the size of a small. The little treat that was meant to make me less nauseous somehow made it tenfold worse. It was too thick to even drink. The pain was unbearable. I think the fries I ordered were cold as well, but it's all a blur. The worst deck was handed to me that day. I don't like to complain about people who work in food service because I have for a long time. that being said I was absolutely FLOORED by how bad our service was. I ordered a chocolate banana milkshake. I taste it. definitely no chocolate. I go back through and let them know "hey I don't think this has chocolate in it". the girl at the window says "Oh we can add some for you!" what?? I already drank out of this. I think whatever I want to get what I paid for and they'll probably just replace it. So I hand it to her and she talks to the guy behind her. she comes back and says "Oh actually my manager says we can't do that. You would need to order another." Huh??? My blizzard was soft. Service is slow and when I asked them to put peanuts in my blizzard they handed me two small packets of peanuts on the side, inside of putting them inside my blizzard. What a nightmare!!! Sat in line for 45 minutes and left with NOTHING!!! Girl taking orders was huffing into the intercom prior to asking for my order. How about they tried to give my food to the car in front of me THEN tried to give me the same food they handed the man! Nope.../ made me a new foot long and tried to send me on my way without the rest of my order. Asked me to pull up and be forgotten so I asked for a refund and gave them back their horrible food which they had probably spit in anyway. So, it's been years since I have left a review and it is time for an update. I have to agree with some of the others on their disappointing reviews. This place has definitely lessened it's flava and I have "divorced" this location. It's sad but true. I will drive to the midlothian turnpike before I go to this location. I'm not sure what has happened but the food has just deteriorated. The service is okay, people are friendly, but the food is just not good. Cold burgers, cold fries, and drinks with no syrup. I am a cheerleader for Sonics because I often liked going there and love the cherry limeade, but this location is just simply disappointing. I hope management picks it up a few notches and does better with making sure the food is "Sonic" worthy. From 4-stars to 1-star... very sad face. Gots to do better! read more

This place sucks. Ordered a sonic cheeseburger with added ketchup and mayo. When I got my order and went to drive out I noticed the burger seemed very thin. When I opened it, it was a plain cheeseburger with just meat cheese and mustard. No big deal, I parked and told one of the employees. She said oh yes you wanted a plain burger with ketchup and mayo and I said no, I wanted the cheeseburger with the normal toppings and ADD ketchup and mayo. Easy right. I don't normally complain about food service because I understand how it is I have worked at almost every fast food restaurant that serves a burger in Virginia but I came to doordash because I was tired of low pay for heavy work but now regardless I still end up with Low pay because I'm at the mercy of these slow ass fast food chains, just now I went in there for an order I waited 12 minutes and then hit the red button again you playing that I was waiting for 12 minutes and was told he would be there in a minute or two I waited one more minute and then left and by the way because of that I had to turn down another order total $16 was turned down cuz if it had been on time I could have delivered it but I have an appointment at 7:00 and you caused me to unassign so that I would not miss the appointment. I have had numerous problems at this location from slow service to wrong food one time I accidentally ordered some sandwich that was supposed to have a hamburger and bacon on it I told them no mustard and no pickle but it had both on there and that was the only thing there was also no bacon and yall do crap like this all the time I think it's pretty sad because nowadays the wait time at a fast food restaurant is between 6 and 15 minutes that's no longer fast and people make racist comments about the indigenous people of this country all the time but when I was 15 I went to Indian reservation Wendy's we got four combos and from the time that I finished placing the order was 14 seconds for four combos all hot all fresh and all right however no matter how many complaints I give to the managers at this location seem to not care I have told the managers at the Midlothian location about your location and I was told that they get numerous complaints about you guys all the time to the point where they just shake their head you are not going to do your job correctly anymore then please vacate the building and allow another company that will to take your place I am not delivering from you guys anymore. read more

I definitely recommend this Sonic to anyone who wants fast , fresh , and friendly service & food. I came on a Thursday right before I had to go to work , so I was on a bit of a time crunch. I spoke to Zyrik and ordered my food , a large chilli cheese tot. He then told me medium chilli cheese tots were on sale for 99¢ and that if I got up to three I could spend less than what I would on one large. Thank you Zyrik!! Probably the slowest drive-though I have ever been through. Went tonight to pick up some ice cream for my daughter and I and sat in line for over 15 minutes before backing out and leaving. The last time I toughened it out at this location and sat in the 20-minute line, I pulled up to place my order only to find out that they were out of ice cream. I go to this sonic very often and they usually don't have their crap together but it was never THIS bad. Last night i went to this location with one of my friends and we ordered our food in the drive up. For starters, it was not crowded at all being it was 10 pm on a sunday night. we got the message that said our food was on its way. 30 minutes later, we still don't have our food and we've watched every other car been served. so i told my friend to press the button again, they said "we aren't taking orders at the drive up anymore so please go to the drive thru" and hung up. five minutes later i told her to press the button again, same message except this time we interrupted and told him that we had already ordered our food and it had been forever. he immediately knew what order we were talking about and said he'd make it right away and we would not be charged for it. i believe this was the manager who spoke to us and brought our food out. i will say that he was very professional in his way of dealing with the situation and that is why i'm leaving two stars. we were there for over an hour. read more

So today we went to get chili dogs - we bought 2-foot-long chili dogs - one was a meal. The drink (Dr Pepper) was flat. We did get that replaced. The fries we received were hard and cold - we didn't say anything because we had already complained about the drink. They should know if the fries were fresh or not. We threw out the fries - they were inedible. After we placed our order we saw the 6 inch chili dog $1.00 special, on the drive thru advertising scrolling screen. We were surprised the person that took our order didn't say anything. When we asked the person, who we found out was the manager, that brought out the new drink (this one was good - it wasn't flat) why weren't we informed about the chili dog dollar special. The manager said that they don't do that - it was advertised through social media and on Sonic's app (neither of which we saw or have) and we didn't see the advertised specials on the drive thru screen until after we placed our order. In fact, the manager was unapologetic, we felt belittled - because we should have known - they don't need to tell us that there was a chili dog special That would be GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE to let us know a way to save some money. So, we now know that Sonic is not for the customer but for their own sales. This created a negative defining moment to your brand - someone there should read about what exceptional customer service looks like. Seriously, this was rude - flat drink, cold fries and cold-hearted manager. We have experienced bad customer service from this same Sonic before - there is a Sonic on Midlothian Turnpike that has exceptional customer service. Went to Sonic tonight to get some ice cream. We got 2 mini blasts. It took them THREE times to get my blast to be the right one and we waited 15 minutes in line then another 10 to get it right. We asked for some sort of compensation but they ignored us. Then when I got home I noticed some yellow stuff in my blast. I don't know if it was a mix from something else or what it was but it disgusted me so much I threw it away and now feel sick not knowing what it was. Went to take dad for father's day. He ordered new transformer bumblebee slushie, my mom got a strawberry m&m concrete. After waiting forever to get, mind u when we pulled up to the window the cashier was standing with her elbows on the counter and only served me after I waived my money in front of the window because our stuff sat completed right beside her. After being served a melted slushie, basically flavored water and strawberry concrete I turned around and went back to get a correctly made slushie for my dad, grabbing a car hop as he passed by I asked for another slushie for my dad and a spoon for my mom for her concrete. While waiting for another 5 minutes, my mom points out that they hadn't even made slushie correct. The bumblebee transformer slushie should be orange topped with grape and I had been handed a melted orange liquid on the top and white bottom slushie. Instead of being served a correct slushie, I get the cashier coming out to my vehicle asking me exactly what was my problem. I became irrate, telling her to do her job, learn to multitask and keep my money because at that point I was sick of it. She proceeded to turn around, shrug her shoulders and go back inside, leaving me with no slushie, no money returned and no straw for my moms concrete. On the way home after my mom is fishing out her concrete with a straw she finds they made her concrete wrong too. Not one m&m or shell of m&m, but little chocolate chips instead.
