Sonic is convenient for a quick bite, but the quality just isn't consistent. The drinks and slushes are usually the best part, with lots of flavor options, but the food can be hit or miss. Burgers and fries often come out lukewarm, and the presentation feels rushed. Service is also slow at times, which defeats the purpose of a drive-in. It's okay if you're just stopping for a cold drink or snack, but not the place I'd go for a full meal. read more

It should be noted that there is a pre-pandemic Sonic and then a post-pandemic. I used to love sonic and the food was good. More recently they have cut their hours and they are just very slow. They do make food fresh when you order, but they are constantly out of items. For example I just did an order ahead order for a chicken wrap, pickle fries and the monthly slushy drink special. They came out once to tell me they didn't have a wrap, so they couldn't make that, but offered to sub it for popcorn chicken. Then when my food was ready they then informed me that the slushy machine was broken and there were no strawberries, so it was essentially just ice cream. They've been Slow and have been extremely rude for years- today just marked the last straw. Was waiting for 3 minutes at the drive thru speaker without anyone saying "I'll be with you in a moment" before I spoke up on a whim and said "hey bub?" After they said they'll be with me in a moment; my wife said I shouldn't have said anything. I responded with "well we've been waiting here for 3 minutes I wanted them to know someone's here" and the response I got back was "I have seven orders ahead of you- you're not the only person here!!" Naturally to a stupid and rude response from someone who works there; my language got a bit colorful back. Not only wont we be back- I'm putting them on blast to every local group/messaging board around to stay away from them. They keep up the slow service and stupid comments to their customers; I give them a year till they're closed. read more

Food is okay, understaffed, always long waits, seems to not be clean either, both workers and inside cleaning conditions, please avoid this location if possible. Also get a weird taste I. My drinks here like half the time. Wish I could leave less than a star. read more

This recent visit left me absolutely appalled. As I pulled into the drive-thru, the place reeked of weed. To make matters wors I saw two guys outside one tall and skinny, the other short and hefty not to be mean but they were smoking what I'm pretty sure was crack. After finishing up, they casually walked into the building. The food was good, and the girls there were very nice and mature, but this kind of behavior is completely unacceptable. I am a loyal, frequent customer to the Massillon Sonic and I can't disagree with you more. I am a working professional, work with a diverse group of men and women and can honestly say the staff, including the manager/girl in the green shirt is Nothing but Professional, hardworking, dedicated, delightful group of fine men and women. I happened to be in line while you were there and I was flabbergasted at your rudeness, lack of class how you handled your order that may have not been to your expectations. You got out of your car, walked in to a secured employee only facility to yell and treat the young lady completely disrespectful. I personally think you should be ashamed of yourself for your actions and demeanor that I witnessed this late morning. You could have handled yourself in a better manor instead of losing your control because your order was not accurate. I don't blame the young lady who got upset with you because I heard you yelling at her and saw your demeanor towards her. Personally, I feel you owe her an apology and try to look at her point of view when you attacked her because your order wasn't what you expected. You asked for more tater tots after you ate the first ones. I understand you wanted fresh ones when she was trying to make your order right even after you treated her like she was beneath you. Don't tell me you were that hangry to disrespect the hardworking Sonic staff.. I witnessed how YOU initiated the conversation and continued to get uncontrollable when you stormed out of your car and felt you could just walk in to an employee only establishment like you were better then them. I actually thought about calling the jackson police due to being concerned about the employees safety. You modeled an unprofessional, hostile outburst and are extremely lucky I didn't call the police when you walked in to Terrorize the young staff who everyday work their butts off to try to make every order accurate. The customer service here is terrible. First, we stopped to sit on the patio, the weather was perfect, and after pressing the button to order and waiting they bluntly announced thru the speaker that the patio was closed and to use the drive-thru. Around the beginning of May I ordered one of their newer burgers. It seemed fine. About 18 hours later I was so sick I couldnt even believe it. It was the most sickest day of my life. In all fairness I have had no problems from prior burgers. But this has made me afraid to try them again. read more

We went to get some food from Sonic since nothing was really opened that we wanted and it was bad. We got onion rings that tasted like funnel cake, and my mum isn't good with food that could be cross contaminated. The mozzarella sticks were delish though and so were the drinks. They also were quite rude in the drive in area. So, I do not recommend this Sonic, unless you're hungry. read more

In Addition, I was charged twice for my incorrect meal because no one would help the poor girl that seemed to be new at the window with the card processing. The cook actually had to come help her as the manager, girl with long black hair that wouldn't give me her name, was eating a corn dog by her computer watching all of this. My coworkers and I received gift cards to sonic. We decided we would get lunch there and pay with the gift cards. I ordered the food and then had to wait 10 minutes in line with only two cars ahead of me. I hand the cashier my gift cards and tell him to put the rest on my card. He proceeds to only use one gift card and tell me he charged $20 to my card due to them having complications with there system with the other two gift cards. He did not ask if this was okay to do or try to fix the issue with a manager. I just think this is the worse customer service I have ever experienced. What if I did not have those funds on my card, hence using the gift card? Or what if I had used one of my coworkers cards and they weren't okay with charging $20 on it. I have the funds, but it's just the principle that he did it without informing me. Then he proceeds to hand me our items and everything is wrong. Sonic is a better than good place. They mainly serve fun for all food, burgers, hot dogs, great onion rings (best in town). Burgers are fresh everything and not over stuffed with fillers. Found this place and was very pleased to have a sonic. It's my favorite. Swenson is near by and I like them but Sonic is still better. Haters with small minded complaints need to complain to the store to get a replacement product quickly and cheerfully. read more

The last time I went to sonic I got a milkshake that never melted. It didn't taste right so I only ate about 1/4 of it. The next morning it looked the same as it did the night before. Two days later it looked the same also. I don't know what it was made out of but I swore I'd never go back and have another. But I was wrong because I went back tonight. And got one of their concrete creations. The first third of it was OK. But then I hit all the powdered milk product that it's made out of which was a huge ball in the middle of the cup and it was disgusting. I didn't finish it. Shame on me for going back. read more

The last couple of footlongs we bought had hardley any coney sauce on it. I didn't pay for a hot dog. So don't give me one. Then I spoke with someone from Sonic and they gave the information to the manager, Justin. Justin called me and said if I had a problem just call him.
