As a transplant to the area my review will be biased. My hometown we have two sonics and they are awful. Those sonics have one employee, no car hop, no order ahead and it's 20+ minutes from order to getting food. This sonic is much different. They have several people working, people are using the car hop and you can order ahead.. hello half price slushee. We went to the carhop and decided to use the app to order to save a few dollars. The order was received quickly and we waited very short amount of time to get our food. The employee was very friendly and nice who dropped it off. It was typical fast food Sonic food. horrible customer service. horrible experience. i literally NEVER make a complaint or leave a review, but this little boy taking orders was INCREDIBLY rude. at first he tried to over charge me for sweetener in coffee, and then served me a $5 drink that was basically NOTHING but ice. filled absolutely to the brim, barely any drink in it, could hardly get the straw to the bottom of the cup! when i tried to get it corrected he said "UM its supposed to come that way" which is absolutely not true. so i told him i that i come nearly every day, very very often, and i never get drinks like that. then, he asked me "well who is making these drinks? bc i need to have a talk with them" as if im supposed to know which employee usually makes them? he spoke to me in such an ugly, snarky manner, as if I was stupid for having an issue with getting ripped off. i told him i was unsatisfied and not coming back anymore, and he said "great! have a great night!" very sarcastically. his attitude ruined our night. being stingy and rude cost them a couple of good, loyal customers and he clearly didn't care. I placed an order online, waited 30 minutes, was asked what my name was TWICE by the car hop, after ep minutes brings me the wrong order, then goes inside and brings out the right one. My food was old, it had been sitting for awhile. Car hop was actually nice and apologetic. That's the only reason they get an extra star. read more

Customer service here is terrible. I just ordered on the app to save time. I arrived and checked in then proceeded to wait for 30 minutes. I finally was able to talk to someone who stated my order never came through, he then came back out to my car a few minutes later and said my order had been pushed aside and just sitting there for 30 minutes. This was super frustrating and is not the first time it has happened to me. And then my order wasn't even correct. I will not be going back to this Sonic, what a waste of $20. read more

We have visited this location twice in the last two months. The first time the screen showed our order was ready and should be on its way shortly. After 10 minutes I had to go to the door to ask for our order. Someone else was also waiting to talk to the manager because they had been parked for 20 minutes and no one had taken their order. The manager did give us our food for free that night. We decided to give this location a second chance last Friday night. This time it was not as busy. Still ended up waiting for a long period of time. Only ordered two Double Cheeseburgers. When the food finally arrived it was barely warm. The carhop apologized for the service and explained that she was the only carhop working. I felt really bad for the carhop...she did a great job and was very professional. Why wouldn't the management switch to drive through only? The people in drive thru received fresh food and those that parked to order food received poor service. Terrible service. I ordered the Tuesday special and my app didn't work, didn't find out I couldn't get the discount until I got to the window and was already charged full price. They are always on mark, great service and timing is always good. My favorite hands down!

The place is ok. We only go to get the Route 44 sweet tea during Happy hour. When Tiffany was things were great. My order was never wrong & the tea was always fresh. Since she is gone things have gone down hill. She was the best employee Sonic has ever had. I wish her the best of luck. read more

Wow. This is the slowest and worst Sonic. I came here for years until I moved away. I recently started coming back and have yet to have anything better than a terrible experience. My order is never right and I sit in line for 30+ minutes. Also, the way the drive through is set up you can't get out of line if you decide to leave so you're just stuck in the never ending line. I have no idea what takes them so long, but it gets to the point that people get out of their cars to go and complain. They need a much better and efficient team. read more

Not even one star is deserved. Tonight my wife and I went to get a milk. It took 47 minutes to get 2 milk shakes and my strawberry banana milk shake was a cup of melted strawberry milk with a half of a banana in it. They take your card payment and then make you suffer. We've lived in Maryville for 5 years. About 4 years ago we went to this SONIC and had a really terrible experience with bad service and cold food. Finally decided to try it again yesterday compliments of the COVID virus and again, it was really bad! I ordered a double cheeseburger with no onions and got a single with onions. Ordered the pretzel stick, got the cheese dip but no pretzel. An order for one serving of tater tots magically turned into two orders. An order for onion rings produced NO onion rings. In short, a totally messed up order. The food was hot when first delivered but by the time they got the messed up order straightened out it was no longer hot. The only upside is they were very apologetic but you can't eat apologies! I'll just pass on SONIC from now on. It's better to take my chances with the COVID virus. read more

Best fast food experience I've ever had. I'm a big fat guy so I ordered a lot of food, and it was hot n' ready in 5 minuets! The hostess who brought my food went out of his way to tell me very loudly that he hopes everyone enjoys the food, implying that it's not all for me (it was) and saving me much embarrassment. After taking it home, I found that everything was made perfectly, just like the pictures on the menu. So delicious! 10/10, I will definitely eat there again. read more

This establishment has got issues in the ordering process. Very misleading. Their employees here cannot get the orders right. I have seen 4 customers bringing back wrong orders... Sonic has always been a not-so-great experience for me. It's the only fast food restaurant that's made me sick and it's made me sick twice. Me and my family live close by (like 10 minutes away) so we stop here a lot. The food and drinks are like all other Sonics. The drinks are great, the food isn't too bad. This Sonic, though, does not care about its customers. They will fill up your cup only half way, give you food that looks awful (I once got a hotdog that was missing almost all its chili and looked like someone took a bite out of it), and they are extremely slow. It once took me over 10 minutes (probably closer to 15) just to get an order of 12 boneless wings. Also, the people they hire tend to spill your drinks and have to make them again. This has happened to me more times than I can count. read more

First, I do not blame the kids working here. I blame the franchise owner for allowing this to happen via over worked & under trained management: yesterday, took my daughter here for a "quick meal". It took 22 minutes to receive our meals ... they were both wrong. We accepted one of the wrong meals bc it was close enough. Reordered the other one. After 18 minutes, we left. We never saw them again. If an order is screwed up, it goes to the front of the list. Period. You can tell by watching the kids that are having to car hop, they have poor training, they have very low to no structure, and they are there bc they haven't looked elsewhere yet. I'd love to say this was a one off, but it isn't. It is at least the 3rd time my order has been screwed up. It's at least the 5th time it took 20+ minutes to receive an order. Ever since they rebuilt this place and added 2 drive- thru lanes this place has gone to hell. Drive thru's at sonic was the worst idea ever because now it comes first over those of us who like to eat at our leisure. We stopped in on a 95 degree day to get a banana split which they no longer sell btw, but anyways we figured we'd just get a couple of milkshakes so we pushed the button to order and were just blatantly ignored so we just left. Absolutley awful. I ordered two pretzel dogs, mozerella sticks, jalapeno poppers, and a cherry limeade. I only got the mozerella sticks at the window and not even the reciept in the bag! I pulled over and it took me 15 minutes to get 2 pretzel dogs, a cherry limeade, and mozerella sticks when they weren't even busy. Don't ever go here. Go to the one on E Lamar Alexander. read more
