went back to sonic @Lamar Alexander parkway in Maryville today. they had a delicious and fresh hot pretzel the other day, so I decided to eat there again today and try the refresher drink, and get my favorite slushie! I ordered a jr. bacon burger and paid extra for lettuce, and again extra for tomato. I got neither! My burger tasted like it was made yesterday, my pretzel was hard to the point of there's no way I would have served that to anyone! The wavy fries were at least warm, and I ate those there. I wish I had checked my burger, because I didn't get what I paid for, and it tasted old. For the prices we pay for food, it should at least be edible! read more

Just drove thru Sonic for the first time in a couple of years to get a couple of breakfast burritos. Was very confused with ordering, can couldn't hear any responses on the drive thru order box. Told them what I wanted ( 2 breakfast burritos with hot sauce) paid close to $9!! Got home with my order... no sauce! And the burritos were absolutely terrible tasting!! The sausage and eggs were waaay over cooked and dry and the cheese tasted like that cheese that comes out of a can...the burritos in whole were so tasteless! Simply awful!! Does anyone who comes up with this food idea actually taste them??? Well, it'll be a very long time before I go there again for sure!! read more

I placed a mobile order this evening and once the order was picked up & I got home it was to my surprise that the popcorn chicken was not in the bag given to me. I ordered a popcorn chicken meal. How does one not put that in the bag? I don't know. Can't fix stupid I guess. Once returning to the sonic to inform them of this they bring me out the popcorn chicken that I didn't get upon my first arrival. I get home to eat it and the chicken was still frozen on the inside.The last time I went to this sonic they messed up a simple order but they were busy so I figured that's why. If possible I would post zero stars, but that's not an option We have visited Sonic hundreds of times over the years but have had 2 terrible recent experiences that require posting about. I am diabetic. I can't drink anything with sugar in it, like regular soft drinks or milkshakes. Twice recently I ordered diet limeade. Twice it was made as diet cherry limeade, not limeade, and I sent it back. Both times on the 3rd try, the limeade came as regular and not diet, but I didn't know it at first. It is not always easy to tell the difference between diet and regular, since they both have limes in them. I drank the supposed "diet limeade" which shot my sugar up very, very high and took hours to get back down. When this happens I get bad headaches, feel sick and hot, and it is harmful to my body I am very very disappointed that the orders which were both in writing and confirmed orally, were wrong! Twice! Anyone on a Keto diet, a low calorie diet, or a diabetic diet who orders a diet drink should be able to trust that's what they're getting. I can't trust this anymore... read more

Absolutely horrid service every time I come here. Last week I stoped here, pushed the button, waited 20 minutes, no one had yet to say anything and at this point was gonna be late for an appointment so I left. Today I stoped hoping it would be different, I waited 15 minutes for someone to take my order of a drink and popcorn chicken. Once it was taken I then waited 35 minutes for it to come to my car. was sitting at a stall for almost 10 minutes without my order have even been taken yet and I noticed that every stall directly next to me has been taken care of except me and they all arrived after me So after those 10 minutes, I decided to move to another stall And my order was taken a lot quicker by manager named GABE. i tried to tell her that I think something was wrong with the stall because I was there for almost 10 minutes and my order was not being taken her response was "it wasn't 10 minutes i didn't take your order because i was busy your total is 8.93" in VERY blunt tone, i was stunned at the customer service I just received So I called to the store to speak to a manager lo and behold it's gabe. Sorry for the horrible review but our last visit was a nightmare. We pulled in and pressed the button. Waited for 5 minutes. Button turned off so we pressed it again. 5 minutes later and after the two cars in front of us had left with their order, it went off again. We managed to grab the attention of a server and explained to her the problem. She said they were having problems with the credit machines. She pressed the button again and started its working and said to wait. Another 5 minutes later the button turned off, we grabbed the lady again to which she told us to go to another window. After going to another window we order. It wouldn't allow us to then pay, so we tried to pay using their advertised app. Well guess what, it wouldn't let us pay for ours without us paying for the persons that just left from that window. Then we paid for ours! We told the same server as before the problem, she then had to go check to see if it had gone thru. After we waited for her to come back she stated that it had not been paid, so we paid. It wasn't until it all cleared the bank that we seen that Sonic had charged us 4 times for that nightmare of a visit. One would think that after waiting that long we would have possibly got our 3 drinks for free or at least half off. read more

If Heather O. opens a Sonic, I shall frequent the establishment. There is nothing like it in Boston and I do so miss it. You get to sit in your car and eat corn dogs and a chocolate shake while listening to Tony Basilio talk UT sports. Doesn't get much better than that folks. It is a required dining experience when I go home to visit family. Although I haven't had the breakfast yet, those sausage biscuit dippers are high on my list of things to do. Because I am anal about such things... The procedure for the uninitiated: Drive yo cah up to an ordering stall. The menu is on each individual ordering station (tip: look both left and right to get the entire menu). Press the button to order and the little girls (sometimes on roller skates!) will bring you your food. The most you have to do is roll down the window. And that's that. read more

You know a restaurant, either sit down or fast food, is a bad place left best to avoid when my situation occurs. I had to break into my box of goldfish because it took so long for my food order to arrive. I am diabetic and by the time my food arrived to my window, my blood glucose was 41 mg/dL and falling. It did not help matters when I did eat my food, and it was tough and old, and cold. I will not be returning to this Sonic. read more

There was 4 people waiting to order and when we asked the car hop if the menus were down bc we had been waiting for 5 -10 min to order. We were yelled at and said they were busy. I stopped at Sonic at 1523 E Lamar Alexander Pkwy on Aug 31, 2016 at five fifty PM, to pick up my dinner. I ordered & the cars beside me pulled out & left & two more cars pulled in & ordered. At six 10, the car on my right got their order & left. I stopped a carhop & asked her to check on my order. At six fifteen, I called the order button again & told them, I still had not got my order, & the people beside me, who pulled in after me had already got their order & left. They said they would check & it would be right out. Then the people on my left got their order & left. At six twenty eight, I still had not received my order, so I pulled out & left. I figured after sitting there for 38 minutes, I was done. I tried calling the Sonic after I got home & again this morning but got no answer. Just wanted to register a complaint. After two call in's & telling a car hop, & still not being served, that was pretty crappy. I could have looked over it, if my order was misplaced, & then served, but I was never served, & I wasted 38 minutes. I use Sonic a lot, but I may avoid that location if the service is no better than that. read more
