The food and service was good. When I received my burger and onion rings, they were warm enough and satisfying.

Someone delivered the machine (it was a steel one like you see at restaurants or bars), a cart for it to sit on, and the mix. You provide your own alcohol because the mix is non-alcoholic (they told me how much to buy) and when they deliver the machine they will give you a demonstration of how to use it. They're very easy to use (just a simple switch or two). It actually froze the mix very quickly (within about 20 min) considering it was about 90 out. We had pina coladas, margaritas, and strawberry daiquiris. Pina coladas were my FAVORITE. YUM. If you like coconut you will think you're sitting on the beach. I LOVE coconut! The margarita was actually pretty popular too because it wasn't overly sweet and sugary like some of the margarita mixes at the store tend to be. I also mixed my pina colada with strawberry for a strawberry pina colada! There was also a mango flavor that I liked that went well with peach vodka. I would use one at my wedding this fall if my venue allowed outside alcohol.

I kept going back and forth between using one vs two machines. He was never pushy about using two, but suggested that things might run more smoothly if we rented two. I'm very glad we did. The guys were there to set it up for us on a very timely basis, and got things up and running for the bartenders. The guests LOVED the margaritas! All in all, everything went great with the margarita machines. The guys needed to pick it up at midnight (which I think would be difficult), but they very happily showed up at midnight ready to pick it up! I apologized for them having to come back so late, but they said "no problem at all"! I would definitely use this company again! GREAT SERVICE!!!!

Since moving to Parkville, Rochester Brewing and Roasting Company is our go-to for Saturday morning…read morecoffees and after dinner drinks. When I have out of towners visiting, I love taking them to Rochester for coffee and taking a walk in English Landing Park. It's the perfect Parkville morning. My husband loves their cold brew (and beers), I love their London Fogs. He gets their breakfast burrito, I get their protein balls when they have them. Their pastries, particularly their scones, are very delicious as well. The staff is usually kind and helpful, but can get stressed on weekend mornings which is totally understandable. Weekends bring a lot of families and small children. They can tend to take over the interior train car seating which can be tough. But generally we have no issue finding a seat for 2. My favorite is sitting outside in nice weather, especially on a nice evening for a little after dinner drink.

I live in the area and do enjoy my coffee, so I drove to Parkville intentionally to try this place…read moreout. Cute, unique venue! I stopped in for some coffee and a pastry, so this is not a review based on their beer or sandwiches. And I ate and drank in the venue to ensure I got a good feel for the vibe. It was a cool November afternoon when I came in and unfortunately, I didn't ever feel warm enough to take off my coat. One of my expectations for sitting in a coffee shop is that it has a cozy feel, but the sun shining in the south-facing windows and my coat were the primary sources of warmth for me. I'm also glad I was wearing some more substantial shoes than usual, otherwise my feet would've been cold too. I did decide to sit in the main building where you place your order, so I was not in one of the adjoining train cars. Women's Bathroom was clean and a single stall, so there's plenty privacy. I ordered a pourover coffee and it was presented beautifully and tasted nice. I know pourover cups do taste different than regular drip coffee, but they offer only limited coffees as pourover options, and one of those coffees is what they offered as their drip. The two pourover options available on this day weren't that different based on their flavor profiles as described on their bags, which was a bummer. I think doing pourovers should allow your patrons to have a wider selection if what is available via drip isn't to their liking. Maybe the local Parkville patrons only enjoy a particular style of coffee. ‍Unfortunately, their offerings weren't particularly enticing to me bc they were all the same. Don't get me wrong, it was good coffee, but I prefer lighter roasts with a more acidic profile to the standard medium roast with a nutty flavor. I'd recommend that all coffees be available for pourover options as I would hope there would be enough demand to grind through the rest of an open bag by offering it as a rotating drip option, but maybe the demand is not there. If not, at least make sure the options are different. I did look at their whole bean coffees for sale and do think I'll give their Westside a shot. I do appreciate that they put the roasting dates on the bags they have for sale in the shop so you know you can get something that is fresh. The Wildberry Poptart I ordered was delightful though! Sweet icing, buttery crust, and a tart filling that wasn't overpowering. If you like pastries, give this a try. Service staff were very friendly, but I do recommend that all baristas be familiar with flavor profiles of all the coffees on offer. The barista who helped me had not tried one of the pourover options, and we both realized how similar the coffees were as he read the flavor profile off the bags of coffee, "Chocolate, Molasses..." All in all, I'll not go out of my way to come back for coffee. But, I haven't tried their beers yet, so there is still hope for Rochester B&R to win me over with their brews. I'll update this review as soon as I give it a go.
