Chocolate OREO- Chocolate Master Shake

First time going to sonic, did not know there was a drive thru. So here was my experience. The spot was too small for my vehicle, and the box was too low, causing the order person over the mic to mess up my order on the screen, rather than just have the user select in the screen.. Received my order and the chocolate "hand mixed" shake is nothing worth the $7. Over 30 minutes later and I am still unable to drink through the straw, and the top is melting. $4 shake at best. Thicker than In and Out and not in a good way.

MOLD ON MY BURGER???? I'm just so upset, first time I try sonic there is mold on my burger. Could have spent my money somewhere else. Never letting any of my loved ones eat here again. THE BUN IS HARD!! HOW COULD THEY NOT SEE THAT IT WAS OLD?!?! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!

The amount of grease on the tater tots was at a pretty high level today, but that is part of the experience. On the other healthier end of the $9 meal was my grilled chicken sandwich. Probably wouldn't order it again, but it wasn't bad and the brioche bun really made a difference. Lots of mayo and lettuce as well. The weird thing is the grilled chicken was 470 calories, but the crispy version only had 80 more calories.

This is gonna be one of those, "good news, bad news" reviews. It does turn out well but there are twists and turns... I've eaten at Sonic's over the years, good food most of the time, but honestly, what are the expectations at a Sonic at 3am? They're not often all than high. About 3 years ago, driving Über, I found myself at a the Sonic very near Luke Air Force Base, west of Phoenix, around mid-morning. And, you know, there is something exhilarating, exciting, liberating about realizing that eating a Double Cheeseburger at 10am is a good idea. It isn't, and it is. Yes! To me, this happens like once every 2 years, so I was excited. And on this day I did it! Service was ok, burger, good. Good, not great. Not that hot, a good 10 am burger but now that I have a recent "hot" reference, it just wasn't that hot. Here's the real problem from that day: the fries were fried in oil THAT WAS OLD. TOO OLD. Old enough that it made me sick. Not food poisoning-sick, not "bad oysters" sick, but sick. And quite frankly, I've never gotten over it. Stuck in my mind. In fact, I have NEVER been able to drive in again to a Sonic, and say, "Oh, I'm sure this will be better". Hell, I don't know that and I don't want to be made sick again. Too many other burger options. Even McDonald's at high-noon is far better because I know the fries will be ok. Here's a part of the story that's really SONIC-unbelievable: after "recovering" the next day from my feeling poor, I called the store, asked for the manager, told him what had happened. He told me, specifically, and I quote, "...uh, yeah, I 'thought' about replacing the grease that morning but didn't". Wait, wait? Honestly, I thought proper food service - you know, supervised by the County Health they would supervise proper FOOD SERVICE - but it did not work that way! Create a maintenance schedule. For a major chain restaurant? "you thought you might conduct maintenance....?" Sheesh. So, it's been a longtime. I Would Not Go Back. And why would I? Got a burger joint every 5 feet, walking or driving. But, for whatever reason, I found myself at 43rd Avenue and Peoria last week and really wanted a hot double cheese. No fries, more like mid-afternoon, but I want a double cheese and my nav tells me this is a choice of one. At least, for that moment. So I order a double cheese, and for whatever reason, I asked for ketchup and onions only. Sue me. What I felt like. This double cheese came out as hot -- heat-hot -- as any burger I've ever ordered or cooked. And, but for the fact that the burger came with EVERYTHING ON IT, not just ketchup and onions, it was delicious. But I called back on the speaker, said, it's great, really great, but I can't get past 4 or 5 toppings I didn't order. One or two, maybe, but not lettuce, tomato, pickles ...so, they made it again. Not only did Sonic make the burger again, the nice day-time manager brought the new version out to me with a future lemonade make-good, to be used for another day. The second burger was not as hot, or as good as the first, but it was still pretty good. Now, tonite, 3/1/2018, let's talk Berwyn, my carhop. He did great! In fact, of my 3 most recent visits, he mar simple a credit card transaction. I saw a screen that said something about the carhop operating the transaction- and if not seen that previous. Good job! You eat the fries. I'll eat the double cheese.

Popcorn chicken with dipping sauce supposed to be sauced chicken tenders

Just ordered a number 12 just the entree and for those who don't know, the number 12 is sauced nuggets. This is what they gave me y'all wtf so disappointed

Burrito was 80% tortilla

This morning, I ordered a breakfast burrito. I received a giant tortilla with a little bit of eggs rolled in. I was the only vehicle in the parking lot but still waited 10 mins for my "burrito" and then watched as the kid running the order struggled to figure out where I was parked (in the drive thru the whole time). I don't have high expectations for fast food establishments but this was extra bad.

Took maybe 5 minutes for a foodserver to show; but I get it re: really busy. Also, a hostess showed up at maybe the 3-minute point and said a foodserver would be with us within a few minures.. Fair enough. Fooderver was fast and efficient. We ordered a few drinks and a couple food items. Beer for the Mrs and a 2X vodka for me. Club sandwich for the wife and wings for me. All served fairly quickly. All quite tasty. Foodserver listened to a couple of my jokes and history comments; was really cool with listening to my BS stories. The wings and the sandwich were quite tasty. No negative comments at all. Reasonble price. Very good service. Very good food. Have to rate it a "5", most definitely.

The staff is always so friendly and helped make my dad's birthday wonderful in march. This last time we came it was Tuesday and so no burger monday specials. I tried the fish and chips and it was alright. Would I get it again? No. One of the pieces had a hard part in it. There was no delicious crispy crunch. I would try something else or just stick with a burger. Wish there was a bubbas close to tempe!

When we arrived, we were told the wait was one hour and decided to go to the bar to start. BEST DECISION EVER! The absolute best service ever! Marissa and the other bartender (I didn't get her name, but sweet and awesome!) They took such good care of us, we will definitely come back next year. Menu recommendations: the beer battered cheese curds, brownie and creme brûlée deserts. The entrees and drinks we ordered were off a seasonal menu, but I'm sure the regular menu is similarly great. Make sure you get the cheese curds though! Chef's kiss

Disappointed. My husband and I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while now. We came on…read moreSaturday just after 4pm and brought our kids (9,12). Downstairs host was nice, asked if we wanted to eat upstairs or down. We decided upstairs. They just told us to head up and talk with the host. We went up. Someone from the bar did shout hi! There was no host seen. There was a handful of workers chatting at the bar even the downstairs host came up and walked by us to join the group chatting. Upstairs had 2 tables of 6-10 people, a handful of small parties outside. We stood there for 4-5 minutes before someone in a St. Patrick's day outfit running food said someone would be with us shortly. Waited another few minutes before the host emerged from the bathroom and sat us. Both my husband and I waited tables and I bartended before (10 years experience). We have a lot of patience and understanding. We were sat and not immediately greeted but a woman came up and quickly dropped water off. Her body language was dismissive and only said just "dropping off water". I really thought it might have been another host or busser, that was tired of getting mistaken for a sever. I brushed it off. We waited so much longer before our server (happened to be the same girl that dropped off the water) came back to take our drink order. She was cold and didn't make eye contact. She was very short with us. Left to put the drink order in. She did bring the kids their soft drinks, but again with an attitude. It was as if we were ruining her day by coming in. 10 min went by. In that time, we saw her walk by and again avoid eye contact. Not even a "your bar drinks are being made", or "I am just going to run these dishes back and come back to take your order. " A really nice bartender came back and started talking with us about baseball because we were coming from a spring training game. After waiting longer and still no sign our server was going to come back in a timely manner, I told my husband, that I would rather leave now and not let this server ruin our experience. There are plenty of places around that I would rather give my money too and they will treat us better. We left, on our way out we did let a manager know. They did apologized and asked where we were sitting. Two stars for the nice female bartender that was decked out in St. Patrick's day attire upstairs. Rating is strictly for service because we didn't get to try anything. I am willing to give this place another try. I will update my review if we do.

It does have OTB machines and if you sit by them people will be coming and going non stop. If you look at the reviews, it talks about how long the pizza takes - about 20 minutes because they hand make the dough. It took a long time to get service. It looked like there was one waitress and one bus boy when we got there. When she did bring us our drinks, I asked if I should order my pizza now since I was the only one ordering pizza. I didn't want my food to hold up everyone else's because it will take 20 minutes (minimum) So I did. Pizza came out in 10 minutes and no one else at my table ordered yet because she never came back. I had to look for her as my pizza was getting cold and I didn't want to eat while no one had their food. She came took my pizza and threw it under a heat lamp which kind of made the cheese stiff but with that - it was surprisingly good. Hubby ordered a cheese steak sandwich and liked it. My Daughter ordered the boneless wings and said it was really good (my husband had a couple and agreed) and her hubby had sliders and liked it. It was fun playing the Family Feud game. We did come in third. Like I said, food was good. Service wasn't great. Just not my type of place. It did look like another waitress came in close to us leaving. I did see our waitress grabbing drinks at the bar too so she may have had just too much to do.
