So that is what he did. He opened up his business in a small town called Neodesha Kansas. A name so unique it don't even come up as the correct spelling on spell checker and has no variable. He bought a little store on the corner across from a gas station where you can get fuel for your car just before getting fuel for a Saturday night and became one of the most widely successful small Liquor stores in the state. In 2007 Marc (As known to everyone that ever knew the man) started getting into bad health and lost his life in an Independence Kansas hospital at the age of 58. The store is now owned and operated by Jeremy Ramey and Julie "Newbie" Ramey of Neodesha Kansas under the same name who made a promise not to change a thing when they take over. 8 years later the store remains the same with low prices all around (Not just 1 or 2 items) and the best selection you will find in a jam packed little building on the corner across from a gas station in a small town anywhere with in walking distance from every thing. So good a slightly bigger named store with multiple locations tried to open up just down the street and finally closed it's doors less than a year later proving quality over quantity is always the best choice and there is no substitution for the peoples respect when it comes to business. Sure other stores can give you a deal here and there and make you feel like you're getting some thing special but at Bly's everything is cheapest it can be so you're not the one breaking the bank and they still keep up with having sales and a 99 cent cooler. Thank you for keeping the Spirit of Marc in the Spirits and keeping the selection of the store that Marc worked so hard to make happen for a small town that if you Google the name, it is the only town of that name you will ever see.

My mother died of COVID, and I was in Emporia to lay her to rest, clean out her home and put it on the market. I stopped into this liquor store that has a "face masks required" sign on the front door. Yet, customers were coming and going without masks, and the clerk (owner?) was not even wearing a mask. I heard someone in town say that if they try to enforce the masks, the customer will throw a fit, thus scaring off the other customers. Wrong answer! There are plenty of us customers who do want you to enforce the mask policy. And, we will patronize those stores that will!
