I had the special of the day, which was a chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, and a house made roll for like $10. It was delicious. Everything on the plate seemed made in house, and the roll was hot out of the oven. Their pie case was filled with house made pies, so I had to have a slice. I got raspberry cream, which isn't one I see very often, but do like a lot. It was excellent as expected. By the checkout they had pies, chicken pot pies, bread, and other things to go which also looked amazing. This one is definitely worth going out of your way to try!

It's like walking in the Easter year though it probably hasn't been remodeled since they took it over I don't think it's actually been remodeled since the late 80s but that's all right. When you walk in you're very feel welcomed you're welcome sit wherever you want they have two different dining room areas. I came in with a rumbling stomach that was just starting to growl and I was ready for some good old home cooking. So I ordered up a nice good cuz I knew they made a nice hand patted chicken fried steak. I had to taste for french fries and gravy brown gravy on the whole shebang. She also made me a nice fresh salad with lettuce tomato cucumber and cheese was very good too before the meal. They were having some water issues a boil order wasn't effect so there wasn't any soda available on the day I was there that afternoon and they did make cawfee though so I had that. Problem was the iced tea wasn't iced tea it was just hot tea they put it into the cooler they had just started making it. . She brought out the salad it was really nice quite filling. And the chicken fried steak dinner came out it was fantastic they gave me some extra fries I think I didn't ask for it but they were definitely quite a few fries to brown gravy was nice and hot. I left with a very happy belly That's one of the things I miss about that way a lot of times when I used to go out to places West California Arizona we're coming through Kansas I would avoid that Kansas turnpike and work my way across all the way to Hutchinson. And I used to like to stop in here because there is plenty of parking for trucks it's a dirt lot but that doesn't really matter it's just classic little small town in the middle of nowhere farmland. They also take major credit cards no problem. But it definitely was nice to see and I definitely enjoyed my meal and I'm rating the full five bar of stars all the way across like many other people who review here on Yelp basically realize you can't judge a book by its cover. The waitress brought A1 sauce to the table and we never cracked it open. The steak was juicy and very tender. We both had the baked potatoes and green beans (which were also amazing)! And no this isn't a paid advertisement. We also took home some desserts to try out (coconut cream pie and pecan bread pudding). We arrived at 5pm and there was only 3 tables taken. By 5:30, the place was packed. By 6pm, standing to wait. This will definitely be on our date night list.

It has a covered gazebo with a sectional sofa, dinning table and two more chairs to lounge on. They also have a large gas grill in excellent condition. It was so nice because we did not have to take anything out, which made departure day a lot smoother. At your request they will bring you margaritas after 5:00 PM. The resort sits in a lake which makes it convenient for those who have boats. We were going to stay two nights, but ended up staying three nights. They do have two restaurants and bar you can enjoy if you don't feel like cooking. Hours vary, but the packet you receive has all the information you need. It is gated which makes it feel safe. Will definitely be back.

And that bread was next level. We got like a half loaf of Parmesan garlic sourdough! Fresh baked! I absolutely loved my shrimp & grits too. So flavorful. Great portions. It's a bit pricier, especially for Grove, but quality makes it worth it. I will definitely be back to try more entrees. Delicious. And the RV park is beautiful too.
