I've had Juicy Seafood on Wheatland Road before, though, and the recipe here seemed to taste a little different. The restaurant was clean and the table was freshly prepared with new paper. Utensils were already available in the buckets on the table. The biggest issue was the service. It took about 15 minutes just to get water, and refills weren't offered. Our waiter was friendly when he came by, but the service was noticeably slow throughout the visit. It also took quite a while for the checks to come out. He did provide to-go containers at the end.

We wait about 20 minutes for our food but mine didn't come. I waited another 10 minutes. Then as someone to get our server because he has not checked on us in 30 minutes. He comes over I ask him to please check on my food he goes to check on another guest and takes another 5-6 minutes to come back and tells me my food isn't ready yet. How the people how sat down and ordered at least 20 minutes after me have their food and we ordered the same thing. He checks his tablet and realized he never entered my food. No apology nothing just I'll order it now 45 minutes later. Super frustrating.

As an ex-New Yorker, I'm always searching for great pizza, and this little hidden gem in Ennis,…read moreTexas, definitely delivered. We found it on our drive back from Dallas to Houston, just a couple of minutes off I-45, and worth the quick detour. The service was friendly, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the pizza had that authentic New York-style feel. We also tried the pasta, which was delicious, and the calamari was decent as well. We didn't order a huge variety, but everything we had was flavorful but kudos on the cheese pizza. Kids loved it If you're looking for great pizza or a decent place to eat instead of Taco Bell or subway or some fast food restaurant while traveling through the area, I highly recommend stopping by.

Wow! This was truly one of the best steaks I've ever had the pleasure of eating. The appetizers,…read moredeviled eggs and bacon-wrapped shrimp, were good. The Caesar salad was good, traditional, fresh, and the correct size. The garlic mashed potatoes were good. But the wagyu NY strip was just incredible. It was almost black on the outside and just warm on the inside, a perfect rare as wagyu beef should be. The meat was unctuous and delicious without being greasy or fatty. It was so richly umami flavorful, perfectly seasoned. It was just an excellent steak. The bourbon bread pudding was a huge serving and wonderfully flavorful. There was some nice bread to go with the meal too. The smoked old fashioned cocktail before dinner was excellent. And I got a nice Cabernet that perfectly paired with the steak. Our server was casual but friendly with a good balance of hospitality and service. This was truly a great dinner and one of the best steaks I've ever had... and all of this in Ennis, Texas. The fries were just blah. I was quickly greeted and seated. My server was rather annoying going overboard on wanting to take my order. Also the lights and decorative bracket they are in could use a good cleaning. While the location is close to my hotel, I would be hard pressed to return. I ate here a couple of years ago and said I wouldn't return....guess I didn't learn my lesson.
