Not the place to go if you're looking for a quick bite to eat. Been there only a handful of times but I can say that each trip resulted in a 15+ minute wait in the drive thru line with no apology for the wait. There was a time I ordered wings for someone with no sauce and the people drenched the wings in barbecue sauce like they were trying to make me mad. Their drinks are good. The absolute worst. Wait tremendously long,stall button activated and I sat for 5 minutes. Finally I pulled out and tried drive thru, again waited for 5 minutes before I finally gave up and went to McDonalds where I was in and out in no time. Well, despite all the negative reviews, I am going with 5 stars for this Sonic.. Having never been to a Sonic before, it took my old man and me a few minutes to figure out the menu - they actually have quite a bit to choose from. He went with the New York Dog (kraut, grilled onions and mustard) combo with regular fries and a drink. I went with the Cheesy Bacon Pretzel Dog (hot dog topped with cheese, crispy bacon and grilled onions on a pretzel bun) combo with tots and a drink. My pretzel dog was delish - love that pretzel bun - and the tots were fried to perfection. Our order was taken quickly and our food came out super quick, and the girl who brought us our food was polite and professional. The price was right too - all that for about ten bucks seemed like a good deal to me. So yes, five stars from me. read more

Been here a few times and never lets me down. I wouldn't drive out my way for sonic so its just a nice before work stop for me. I used to love sonic as a teen but for some reason its not the same. The commercials are what keep bringing me back. This time my bf and i came in time for happy hour where drinks are $1. so we ordered some food and the guy over the speaker said it would be cheaper just to make our order a combo. very much appreciated. But I am a huge fan of their onion rings, its like they a cake like batter and real onion inside not minced scraps. One thing I do wish sonic in general would do would be to post the specials at each drive thru ordering spot. Either they're on commercial or they might have them at the real to-go drive thru not the dine in. I was kinda upset when I got to work with my meal that there was a $2.99 burger and onion ring special b/c I would've got that instead; but I do appreciate the coupons they put in out bag for us. read more

Hello fellow Yelpers it has been awhile I hope everyone is safe. My wife and I is at sonics right now and we witness one of the employees off duty get out of a vehicle with no mask no gloves walk inside sonics the employee area and made food so she can bring it back outside to her family if I if you don't think that's unsanitary I don't know what it is. As you can see in the picture my wife is putting on chili where sonic fail to put chili on it nor cheese when we asked for it the first time. Ordered online and still waited a ridiculous amount of time to get my food! When the girl delivered it, she apologize for taking so long. Little did I know that when I got home after a 15 minute drive, that the order was wrong! My husband wanted a bacon cheeseburger and ended up with some kind of chicken sandwich. So I drove all the way back and asked for the manager. I told her I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and this is what I got handing her the chicken sandwich. Without apologizing, she said she would switch it out. No apology, no offer a free fries or a milkshake for my trouble, nothing but the thing I ordered in the first place. Once he got the bacon cheeseburger, my husband said it was good. He would be willing to go back there again, but I would never go out of my way like I did. read more

Food is fast to come out and is hot. Stick with the corn dogs or hot dogs. Burgers are greasy, chicken poppers are small and kind of dry (even though they advertise JUMBO... it's slightly bigger then normal popcorn chicken.) Never disappoints. The variety for both food and drinks is crazy amazing. The service was quick, friendly and most importantly accurate.

So this is the second time coming here only bc the last time they gave me free coupons for meals and my son loves it here.... Well last time they gave me a cheesesteak with no steak on it just cheese and onions and try to say thats how its supposed to come when everyone elses was packed!!! Sent it back told them would you pay almost 8 bucks for this nope...then had me waiting almost 30mins to get a new one. Got in town for a work trip. After a long drive in the rain I just wanted something quick to take back to the hotel. Was excited to see a Sonic nearby! Pulled up and pushed the button and was told they were only doing drive thru. Ok no problem. It was raining out. So I placed a drive thru order and pulled forward. It should have been a clue based on how long the person in front of me waited. I got a burger and tots. Waited way too long. The young lady came to the window and said they were making fresh burgers. Cool! Waited some more. I got to the hotel and of course my burger was wrong! Had both cheese and ketchup! I specifically said no cheese and mayo! The burger was nowhere near fresh! The burgers are THE BEST BURGERS if you want simple, juicy, cheesy, yummy, nummy burgers. The fries suck. The burgers do not. Why are they good? Thin. Visited on a Sunday afternoon during the lunch rush. Went through the drive thru. It took about 25 minutes. It definitely wasn't fun. But the line was very long. You have to know before coming here, it's going to take longer than most other fast food places. The service was very friendly and the food was tasty. I also thought it was so cute that they included a couple of mints, nice touch! I would recommend coming here. But only if you have time to spare, I wouldn't call it a "fast" food drive thru, it was like medium to slower drive thru, ha me trying to be punny! All I wanted was a vanilla milkshake. What I got was a banana milkshake. I'm allergic to bananas. Took one sip and my throat immediately started itching. How can you screw up a vanilla milkshake? The worst part was you couldn't even tell the difference until you took a sip. Not the first time this place has screwed up but definitely the first time they almost caused me serious harm. A pretty good spot for fast friendly 'fast food' that is also yummy. Miles better than the other choices in the immediate area. I like the onion rings, mozz sticks, banana fudge sundae and the drink selections! This location is usually slow and the last two times I ordered my sandwich was cold. I emailed the manager and then it was taken off the menu. Problem solved, I suppose? Also, you may die in a fiery wreck trying to leave the parking lot and get back on to Rt. 40. This is a brand new place to Elkton and I just tried it this weekend. Parking is horrible getting into the lot off of Rte. 40! They have people directing but still the flow isn't right. We chose to park at the end and use the walk-up ordering system. Took forever! I don't understand why they only put one single unit to order food in the outside area. They have a bunch of different items not on most fast food menus. I got the Coney Dog and a Hot Fudge Sunday. The Dog was good but the ice cream they use sucked... McDonald's for Sundays! Too much ice and not enough Coke in the cup! Their Mozerella sticks are great though! read more

I realize they have only been open for a week but the burger I picked up today had a piece of cellophane (clear pastic wrap) in it. Not an entire sheet, just a corner but enough to take Sonic off my radar. The burger was prepared well but in the end I was really disappointed. My empathy for an overworked employee hustling to get orders out was quickly eclipsed by the thought of me choking on plastic. This is a great Sonic location and the food always arrives hot and fast. I stick with the chicken sandwich and find the burgers to be on the greasy side. I also like the hot dogs, including the Chicago dog. Their happy hour has half-off beverages and the shakes/drinks are great. The microphones at the parking spots can be difficult to hear/communicate with staff and it has caused us to receive incorrect orders. But the staff was always willing to correct the order in a timely fashion. read more

I went there yesterday for what I thought would be a quick lunch. It was anything but quick. I was handed my drink order. Then sat there for 10 minutes. I physically knocked on the drive thru window and asked if I was get the rest of my order. I was told it would be just another moment. I waited another 5 minutes for a simple of order of chicken tenders. The longest I have ever spent in a restaurant drive thru, food was okay, but wasn't worth the waiting for.
