On 2 separate occasions I have stopped by to just get a drink. I order it through my phone 5-10 minuties before I get there so that it can come out fast for me. BOTH times I have had to sit there for over 10-15 minutes waiting on a drink!! And I know that it isn't because it was made fresh because it always tastes like it's been sitting out for a while. I decided one time to get a sausage egg and cheese burrito, after waiting 10 minutes, I got it and went home. at home I noticed that it was almost ENTIRELY tortilla and hardly any egg and sausage!! my first 4 bites were just tortilla!!!! The service is terribly slow, and the food is always bad. I'm sticking to the sonic in sparta because they always get my food out when I get there (because I order in advance on the app) and the food is always great there!! read more

All I ordered was a sweet tea, which is normally the first thing that I try at a sonic location. The car hop was super pleasant and quick to get my drink to my car. The part that I was really disappointed with is how unsweet this drink really is. Honestly, it kind of taste like dirty water with a little bit of sugar in it. Pretty quick service! (Nicer than the Walmart sonic on the other side of town) Also super friendly staff. Every once in a while they'll come out on the traditional sonic skates, but they're all super friendly girls that work there! The guys that work behind and take your order are nice as well (we changed our order from a medium to a large and they were really efficient and friendly about it). Highly recommended if you're in the Jackson plaza area or around Tech looking to hydrate up! We come here for Happy Hour all the time! read more

Just went to this sonic for a blast because I love them. I pulled up and there were two other cars at the whole sonic. I pulled up in a spot where I could see in the window and the employee looked right at me and gave the biggest eye roll. I saw three workers, they were all young. I watched two of them inside eating and not doing anything. It took 10 minutes to make the blast and bring it out. Plus it was in the wrong cup. Extremely rude employees - if you don't want to work there then quit. I have been going to sonic for forever and was excited there was one in Cookeville, TN when I moved here. Don't go to the Sonic on W Jefferson Street!!!!!! you're better off going to the one on S Jefferson Avenue. read more

Worst place for taking your order. They don't get it. How hard is it to understand I want the sonic double cheeseburger with ketchup and mustard. They try every time to sell me a plain burger with nothing but ketchup and mustard. Seriously people get your act together. So they brought my food the tatortots are cold! And they slapped The sandwich horribly and the ketchup, mustard and pickles are outside the bun. They did this on purpose because I asked them how hard is it to make a double cheeseburger with ketchup and mustard. This sonic waters down their drinks it would seem. Especially during happy hour! I never go to this one. The other one by Walmart isn't much better but at least drinks aren't watered down at happy hour. I have eaten at Sonics for years and we used to have the best one I've ever eaten at anywhere in my old home town. That is until it sold and now it's like the ones here. I ate at the Jefferson location as I usually do last week and the onion rings were so over cooked it was like eating rocks! They often over cook corn dogs as well. I usually eat off their so called dollar menu as u can eat two hamburgers off that menu for less than one regular hamburger for less money and have more to eat! Lol. Management at the sonics in the Cookeville area is terrible ruining a very good place to eat. read more

The worst! Usually go to the sonic on Jefferson. To save time went here even tho past food orders were below average. This time I ordered the chicago dog and it came out with KETCHUP!! Having been born and raised in the Windy City, I know ketchup on a hot dog is a cardinal sin. Sent it back and in return got a poor Chi-dog swimming in mustard and the rest of the condiments were of poor quality. Then they had the nerve to tell me a Chi-dog comes with ketchup. That'll get you in big trouble back in Chicago. I spent the better part of my newspaper delivery money at Superdawg (google it for a pic of the real deal plus cool looking hot dog stand) back in the day, so I know my dogs. Sonic's Chi-dog is passable when done right but we won't be coming back to this joint! read more
