I'm only giving 1 star so I can review, I am super disappointed with my food. I ordered the tray with 2 hotdogs and 2 chicken quesadillas, I asked for onions,pickles,cheese, ketchup and mustard on my hotdogs, I get home and there is NOTHING on them. My 2 chicken quesadillas had no chicken in them, just cheese. My boyfriend ordered the tray with a chicken sandwich with fries and chicken nuggets, they put 1 chicken nugget and 5 French fries in his container! The two stars are mainly for the cost. 10$ for two plates. Fries are really salty. Chicken tenders taste very similar to McDonald's chicken nuggets. They were heavily breaded with very little meat. And the chicken quesadilla was mostly tortilla. Very little filling in the quesadilla. BBQ sauce was okay. It was more on the sweet side. Which saved the whole meal for me. So I actually heard about this place on a Facebook video & I was super excited to try it since I was traveling to the east coast. The menu is a bit hard to understand (for a fast food place) the shakes were a bit to thick but the taste was awesome. The BBQ plate was okay . They didn't really add sauce so it was pretty dry towards the end. Fries & hush puppies were actually really good. The burger was comparable to a McDonald's one. The onions were still a bit raw to be on the burger. The quesadilla was sad... but since that's not their main dish then I understand. I stopped by this Cook Out on my way to Oregon. Dad and I were looking for a restaurant that I can't get on the West Coast and we found my favorite. The staff was very friendly. There was a walk up area that was safe and clean and we were greeted right away. The staff was very understanding with my medical limitations adult the moment and that my dog was with me. Food came out hot, fresh and as ordered. That doesn't always happen at a Cook Out and I have had 100's of Cook Out Tray's over the years. In Cookeville for business at TN Tech University traveling from Tampa,FL. Locals told me about this place and after reading reviews stopped by to check it out. The service is quick, cheap to eat and food served hot...not too shabby. They have the "Cook Out Tray" where you choose an item, 2 sides or double up and beverage. I got 3 chicken/cheese Quesadillas, fries, large tea and added hush puppies (must) for $6.53. Sitting here eating you can see the crowd it draws to the walk up and drive through. So, I was hoping for a great fast-food burger joint, but I was disappointed. I got fries, a double cheeseburger and a large soft drink. The fries were a little over cooked, the hamburger patties were smaller then McDonald's patties and over cooked, they didn't put cheese on it and the large drink, wasn't very big. The food is really good. I've had it a couple of times. The last time we went was not a good experience. It was my first time ordering and I apparently didn't do it the way I was supposed to. The guy who was taking my order was really rude about my misunderstanding. I said we were leaving and when we pulled up to the window I asked to speak to the manager. I explained what happened and said we were leaving. The manager said okay and that he was sorry, but as he was turning around from the window my wife saw him roll his eyes. This fast food burger place truly give you a burger that tastes like it was cooked on the grill outside. This is a drive-thru or walk up only concept. The menu is somewhat confusing and the service could improve, but you can't beat it for the price. You get burger/chicken with 2 sides and a drink or shake for only $5. The sides are very small though and didn't like the take out styrofoam container. The burger is better than a typical fast food burger. I've gone twice now, and both times I have been satisfied. I got the hushpuppies, coleslaw, and cheeseburger the latest time, and they were all amazing. I give this place 4 stars for two reasons.....the prices and the cheesecake. The cheesecake is as good as any I've had, even in sit-down restaurants; and it comes at an excellent price ($1.99) plus a variety of choices for toppings. I'm partial to the strawberry topping. Their shakes are very good, as well with a large selection of flavors. As for the other food....well, to me it's a shade over average; but I feel preference in burgers and fries is a personal taste kind of thing, like how some people love Sonic or McDonald's and others can't stand them. The hot dogs are good, and they have a chili you can order to put on them that's essentially just chili flavored ground beef (is this Coney Island style? I'm not sure); but I like that on a hot dog (not so much by itself). I also like that you can get a burger or hot dog and add a bacon wrap or quesadilla as a side with a drink, and all for $5.00.
