    Sonic in Coarsegoldw

We waited in line in front of just 4 Cars for over 20 minutes. Very Slow Service. Nothing like typical Sonic. If you are used to getting in and out of drive through in responsible time don't go here. Staff are rude to customers with no care about quality of service or food.

Overdone chicken tenders and burnt toast.

No one in front of me. I placed my order which I specifically asked for extra ranch cups with my chicken tender dinner. It took 18 minutes and I was in a hurry to pick up my dog from groomer, so I didn't look inside bag, but she said when handing me my food that "ranch is in the bag." They gave me ONE ranch for 5 OVERDONE chicken tenders. Very disappointed. I would definitely not recommend this Sonic.

    Nasty hair in the fries

Well, what can I say I used to love to come here and get a Oreo ice cream but sadly I came through one evening on my way home from out of town. It was about 7:30 PM. I ordered my Oreo ice cream, and a large fry and a drink. Well you ever start eating in the dark and you pull out a great big long black hair out of your mouth, absolutely disgusting I am surprised I didn't toss my cookies. They don't wear any hairnet here at sonic of course a lot of places don't I really wish they would start not only did I pull the hair out of my mouth there was even more hair in the fries it's no way it could be mine. My hair is blonde not black, come on sonic it with the program anymore. Bad reviews sadly to say will lose another fast food restaurant in Coarsegold.

Cold burrito with very little effort put forth.

Today was the first time our food ever took less than 8-10 minutes to get. Understandably so, since the burrito was cold. Coffee wasn't even filled up. Only option near us, so we suffer through. Hopefully the something new will come our way soon!

This is a bacon cheese toaster.

This visit was probably the best and worst experience I've had here at the same time. We walked in just before closing without realizing how late it was. The customer who came in right after us was immediately told they couldn't order because the restaurant was closed, which is completely understandable. However, the way it was communicated came across as very rude and abrupt. A simple "I'm sorry, we're closed" would have gone a long way. After that the vibe in the whole place changed even behind the counter. After placing our order, I specifically requested some burgers plain, some without lettuce, and also asked for ranch with our fries. When our food came out, the burgers were made incorrectly and the ranch was missing. I went back to the counter and was told by the same employee that she couldn't give me ranch because her register was already closed and she would have to charge me for it. The cashier who originally took my order apologized and said she thought she had added it to the receipt. I explained that I had requested it when ordering (I had even left a tip) When I asked if I could still get the ranch, I was told no and the employee walked away. Thankfully, the manager came up to my table and provided the ranch, allegedly anyway she was wearing normal clothes no uniform. She also had the incorrectly made burgers remade and personally brought them to our table, apologizing again for the inconvenience. The manager completely turned the experience around and was the reason the visit ended on a positive note. Unfortunately, one employee's attitude left a lasting impression. Customer service isn't always easy, but friendliness and professionalism make a huge difference, especially when handling simple requests. (The blonde, shaved head lady) I'm grateful the manager stepped in and made things right. However, after this experience, I'll probably think twice before making this my late-night go-to spot again.

Plazuelas Mexican Restaurant, Oakhurst: 2026 Aug 5 (3.95 of 5)…read more Adrian, our server was gracious and friendly We were served water, complementary chips and salsa when seated. The chips were made in-house and had that clean fresh taste. The salsa was spicy but we couldn't stop eating. (4.5 of 5) Their prices are high for where they are located and our food didn't come with rice and beans. We agreed that the confirmation of a great Mexican restaurant comes from the rice and beans they serve. (4 of 5) Rib Eye Tacos: The rib eye tacos feature juicy, richly marbled steak cubes piled into warm home-made flour tortillas, topped with caramelized onions, cabbage and guacamole. The tender pieces of meat had great complexity, was well-charred, and had a nice mouthfeel. It breaks down easily with minimal chewing and the taste lingers on my tongue after each bite. (4.75 of 5) Fish Tacos: From street-food to table-top specialty, this is a popular Mexican dish. Their Ensenada-style beer-battered halibut served on homemade corn tortillas with pineapple-cabbage slaw and garlic chipotle sauce is crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Squeezing a generous amount of lime juice added a bright, sharp sour taste that cuts through and balances the overall flavour. (4.5 of 5) Atmosphere: The place is clean with table and chairs well spread out, but the music blaring over the speakers made conversations difficult. This eatery looks out onto the parking lot. (2 of 5) Location: This is located in an anchor business area so FREE parking is easily accessible. Service: Adrian was our server. He was genuine, unpretentious, and sincere. He's only been working there for 6-years, but he may be the anchor to this family-owned eatery. Plazuelas Mexican: A passion for honest, uncomplicated, and authentic flavours.

The chicken was so juicy it needs to start paying rent for all the space it's taking up in my thoughts . Every bite was aggressively flavorful -- like the seasoning team clocked in, slammed an energy drink, and said, "Let's ruin this person's ability to enjoy bland food forever." No beans, no regrets, no consequences. Just pure, uninterrupted bowl bliss. Now let's discuss the chips. Fresh. Perfectly salty. A suspiciously addictive hint of lime . They tasted like they were made by someone's abuela who takes snack quality personally. I told myself I'd save some for later, but later never came because I apparently entered a feral, chip-devouring state. If there were witnesses, they've chosen not to speak. Overall: 10/10 experience. I came for lunch and left emotionally attached. Would absolutely return and risk developing a full-blown lime-salt dependency. Send help... or a family-size bag of chips

As I've written about on numerous other occasions on Yelp, I am a Taco Bell addict…read more This is the closest Taco Bell to Yosemite, so I would probably still come here even if it sucked. Fortunately, it doesn't suck too bad. It's exactly what you would normally expect from Taco Bell, but like, thirty percent less of it. The food is prepared correctly. It is hot, and fresh. But the portion sizes are just never quite what they're supposed to be, or what they would be if you ordered them from any other Taco Bell storefront. For example, I recently ordered a Build Your Own Veggie Cravings Box on the app with a Black Bean Crunchwrap Supreme, a Cheesy Bean and Rice Burrito, a Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes, and a Mt. Dew Baja Blast. Both the potatoes and the burrito were so undersized that I was able to open up the burrito, dump all of the potatoes into it, and easily wrap it back up. In fact, I've probably done this the last four times I came here. There was plenty of extra room in the bean burrito for the entire order of potatoes-- and there definitely should not be. The crunchwrap that comes in the box is not advertised as any kind of miniature version, but in reality, it is. If I had paid the menu price of six dollars for the crunchwrap alone, I probably would have been upset, but of course, that's how much I paid for the whole box. Aside from the sometimes comically small portion sizes, this Taco Bell is solid-- the prices, flavor, service, and quality are all still there.
