Ordered the Big Dill Meal. The burger itself had no pickles/cucumbers at all on it other than the fried pieces. The burger tasted like 3 overcooked junior burger patties and was not worth half of what I was charged for it. I wouldn't have ordered it if I knew they weren't going to put the right stuff on it. Food is decent service is always met with attitude. App mysteriously stops working the majority of the time after happy hour and you're trying to get the 1/2 drink deal. ‍ when you ask you get attitude and it's legit not worth the rise in my blood pressure when I just ask what to do since the app is glitching. Very unprofessional. I called regarding the sonic app because it's saying their location is temporary unavailable and the worker, slurring their words and mumbling said the app hasn't been working all morning. A different person took the phone and asked how they could help me and I asked against about their app and she told me to just sign out and back in to the app and that should fix it. It did not. I'm not upset about the app not working it's about the possibly "intoxicated" worker giggling in the back and not be able to speak to me over the phone. read more

I love Sonic's food selection. One of my favorite fast food places to eat. I do work all around east Texas and have eaten at most of the Sonic's around east Texas, and my experiences at the one in carthage have been some of the worst. My most recent experience went like this: First two stalls I pulled up to weren't working, both have weird codes on the screen(stalls aren't marked as out of service.) So I pull to the side stalls across the parking lot(and most of them are filled by employees cars, even though there's an employees parking lot...) We had tried ordering ahead of time using the app, and it wasn't working(kept saying placing order took to long) So after waiting 6 minutes for someone to answer the red button(and after two cars had come and gone from the drive through since I'd pressed the button) I told the lady about my issue and she let me know in the rudest tone possible that she has no control over it. Multiple times, and all I was asking was if I would order half price burgers through the app. I also kept having to speak Verry loudly because she said she couldn't hear me. Before we got our food they brought us the food for the car next to us...we let them know. Then we got our food and the young man who delivered it was very nice and respectful and is the only reason there is a second star on this review. After reviewing our food my burger was missing bacon. (I had already torn a piece off of the burger) they took it back and returned the same burger with a couple of pieces of bacon, which to my understanding was not how it's normally done, taking someone's food, putting it back in the food prep area.. Overall a very unpleasant experience. But the speed of getting the food wasn't bad, and the taste and arrangement was good. read more

This Sonic has consistently poor service, requiring multiple complaints and remakes to get orders correct. In a small town with few choices, I think they rely too heavily on people to not just abandon being customers because of the terrible service and inattention to detail. An example: I ordered three drinks and two food items. The carhop came out with two drinks. I said "You're a drink short." She replied something like "Whuh?" It took her an extended study of the receipt to determine that I had actually ordered three drinks, and she agreed to go back and retrieve my missing item. As she handed me the two drinks she'd actually remembered, I observed "This is supposed to be a Route 44 [largest size]" She replied "Well, the OTHER drink is a Route 44..." like this was supposed to explain something. I can't understand her logic here. I showed her the receipt, and she agreed to remake the drink.... Which she did wrong. I pressed the button again and explained that my drink was wrong and was assured that a correct drink would be right out. Ten minutes later I gave up waiting, got out of my car and went inside. The manager asked me what was wrong and I explained, and she remade the drink (again wrong, as I discovered once I'd left). I asked her if there was something about the things I was ordering that made it difficult for my order to be served correctly the first time. She had no explanation other than to offer me a free token for something or other. I told her I had no interest in free items, but that I'd prefer she fix whatever was wrong with service at her restaurant. Let me stress that I was civil and clear in ordering and explaining my dissatisfaction the entire time, and I did not lose my temper or curse, despite the carhop treating me like I was being unreasonably critical for expecting what I'd actually ordered. This is only the most recent example of the problems we've had getting orders, large and small, from this store over the past two years. If you go to this Sonic (and it's only THIS location that has these problems, in my experience), be sure to check your order completely before leaving. Make sure that you receive all the items you ordered (and paid for) and that those items are actually the correct ones you asked for. Or give up on Sonic and go to What-a-burger instead. I'm close to giving up. read more
