They are heartless!!! We have been traveling for two days during our move across country. I was in the drive thru when my car suddenly started smoking. I turned my car off and pushed it into a parking spot. My kids, husband and I were waiting for a tow truck and starving. I go up the a stall to try and order and they refused to take my order there because they were doing drive thru only. So they left me no choice but to stand in the drive thru line where they again refused to let me order because they claimed it was a safety hazard. A nice man in the car behind me offered to order for me. He did then when I get up to the window between the mans car and the window they refused to take my payment while standing there. Then their system wasn't taking my card so they came out to a stall (where they refused to take my order into the first place.) to run my card. It still wasn't working. They couldn't be at all sympathetic for my situation. They just had to be so mean to a tired mother just trying to feed her babies. read more

The wait time at this sonic is excruciating. We have gone three times this summer and even when there was almost no one here it took 10+ minutes to just get my order in. They also had a text message for the day, 79 cent slushes. The text message says, "each" and it does not say there is a limit on the coupon. But we were charged full price for all of the slushes but the first one. I pushed them on this and they just ignored me and asked me if I agreed to the price. Not even a sorry. I went there with my dad and ordered an Oreo blast, but they gave me an Oreo milkshake. I would normally be totally fine with that, but the milkshake had something spoiled in it and tasted awful. Not to mention it took them around 10 minutes for 3 ice creams. I decided to go again with a friend, because I heard their blasts were good and still wanted an Oreo one. We're visiting Billings and our experience at this Sonic was the worst. We ordered at the drive thru at 6:30pm, we paid at 6:42 and sat at the front window till 7. This is probably the worst place ever. We stopped at 2102. We placed an order within 5 minutes. At 2137 we pushed the button again to see what was taking so long and the guy in the other end asked us to wait for a "brief" moment, to which our reply was that we already ordered and was wondering what was taking so long. The customer service person said that they were out of patties and out of bacon. After a short count of 4 cars (including ours) I wondered what could have taken him 30 minutes to inform me that our food would be taking longer as they needed to slaughter the cow and pig to fill our order. Is there a slaughter house inside that tiny building. How does a franchise like Sonic run out of the necessary item to run a successful restaurant chain. I explained to the person that we were just going to find a place that specialized in feeding hungry people. absolutely horrible the worst restaurant I've been too and I've lived in more than 3 states! Waited for almost an hour the first time I came here. The order was wrong. I get to the window and she hands me the food I proceed to check it and its wrong and I wait for someone to come back to the window to be greeted with "what" like I was taking up her time when there wasn't anyone there. I said my food is wrong and I need my card. She said oh jeez I'm getting your card I'm not going to steal it. I love the slashes the second time I went there waited for almost an hour for them to walk outside to the cars in line to then proceed to tell us they can't make our order. I tried ordering from them on Doordash and the order was sooooo wrong! And it arrived 2 hours later! Horrible customer service not kind people never in a hurry for anything the manager doesn't seem like he knows what he's doing he's seen often times standing around scratching his head! How can you run out of things! How can you not see that your staff is rude and driving away any business that decides to sit in line for hours to order because if you sit and wait at a stall it will 10x worse! If your customers are loyal enough to come back after being treated like this and you still give them a bad experience that is pretty much saying fuck you and I don't want or need your money! This place has a bad rep and now I know why. We went and ordered a large lemonade, lg grape limeade, raspberry slush with nerds and a strawberry limeade. After waiting 10 minutes, there were two other cars parked and three in the drive thru, nothing was right! We all got slushees, no nerds on the blue raspberry slush, no grape limeade and no lemonade. Unfortunately the worst Sonic we've ever been to. And we have given this place a LOT of chances. Specifically drinks- Sonics is sort of know for their huge drink menu. At this place you have zero clue what you're gonna get. We've had milkshakes only half mixed. Milkshakes with barely anything in them. And this last try we got milkshakes the consistency of water and the cherries had sunk right down to the bottom. And that's just using the milkshakes as an example. If you enjoy Sonics, avoid this one. They must not train very well or the owner just doesn't care. We won't be giving this place anymore chances. read more

They wanted 12 of us to go through the drive through in 4 vehicles just to get out and eat next to the box we wanted to order at... So we took all the kids we were treating next door for food... Then today they were out of so many items I heard them telling every person ordering within ear shot that they were out of this or that (I heard onion rings, Nacho cheese, strawberry, chocolate for shakes... Very disappointed in this famous drive-in. Either their ordering equipment is in need of repair or they have a bunch of tweakers working there. Terrible Food and the staff is rude. Their credit card machine outside was not working and the girl at the window had no idea how to "SWIPE" a card she had to get her manager. Slowest drive through I've ever been to. Not just based on one visit, but based on multiple visits. Everytime I go here, it takes at least 20 minutes to get my food. I have been here when there's barely any other customers, or when there's no other customers besides myself. It still takes them ages for some reason. My family and I stopped in during happy hour for a shake it took more than 45 minutes for my order to be received the only reason I stuck around I had already paid.
