My family was craving wings, and this restaurant came up in our search. Unfortunately, choosing to…read moreeat here was a decision we would later regret. A more fitting name might be "Wild West Wingz and Bar," because it definitely felt more like a bar than a family restaurant. There's a reason the interior is so dark--it seemed to hide how dirty the place was. The restrooms were especially filthy. Considering the premium prices they charge, customers should expect a clean environment. The staff, however, was friendly. I ordered an iced tea, and our server actually advised me against it, saying it "nasty", that I probably wouldn't like it, and that it came from a bag. I appreciated her honesty and ordered water instead, only to later discover they charge for tap water. When ordering, I asked for recommendations between their sandwiches and the fish tacos. The fish tacos were recommended, so I gave them a try. When the food arrived, the tortillas were cold, and the fish had been chopped up in the tacos. Later, the waitress asked how I liked them, and I told her they were mediocre. She then explained that the kitchen only cooks one fish fillet and splits it between all three tacos (what!). She even commented that she wished they didn't do that and that the tacos were larger. For $14, receiving what amounts to a single fish fillet divided into three tacos is disappointing. Between the lack of cleanliness, questionable value, and underwhelming food, I CANNOT recommend this place, go elsewhere.

They get the orders correct more often than not and the staff is friendly. I wish they would bring back the ghost pepper fries but the Baconator fries are good too. The spicy chicken club sandwiches are always really good. I like their "natural cut" fries. The handcrafted strawberry lemonade and regular lemonade are always good. Now with that out of the way, I will say this Wendy's was once a nice clean FAST FOOD restaurant to dine in. Now, the tables are wobbly, it's hot and muggy because the AC isn't working or doesn't work well. There were tiles missing from the walls. The carpet is dingy & the parking lot needs to be cleaned. The owner either doesn't care about the appearance of the store or hasn't been by to visit in a while. Ordered a simple meal for $14. They had technical difficulties and were crowded so I was patient, but this dude who looked high on crack came out with my food, gave him a 20, let him keep the change. Order was way off of course. Pressed the red button and this crack head bitch came out. She asked me what my order was, I told her, and not even 30 seconds later (no exaggeration) that skinny junkie gave me back the same fucking bag of food. She asked if everything looked alright. I looked at the Fucking food and was just like whatever. Threw that shit away on the way out. There went 20 Fucking dollars, maybe y'all can buy another fucking crack rock. Only giving one star because I have to.. waited 20 minutes for three shakes, pressed the button to check on my order only to be placed oh "hold". Had to leave (had already paid at this point) because I was late picking up my child from school. Come back and pull into a different stall.. pressed button. Waited 5 minutes for no one to respond... walked to the doors and waited for someone to finally come out to give me a refund. 35 minutes of my life waisted. Not sure what was going on here but it appeared that not one person knew what was going on. ‍ read more

It wasn't too long of a wait... they were pretty busy. I wish I had taken pics. I ordered the French Dip. It was DELICIOUS. Nice and hot, perfect amount of au jus to dip in and the cheese and bread was great! But it was $15 and it was very very small. It doesn't come with anything other than the sandwich. That made me expect a large sandwich. It didn't even fill the little paper boat thing they serve it in. We got sweet tea and a bag of chips. Hubby got the turkey sandwich. Was also grilled- the turkey was nice, but the cranberry jam overpowered any other flavor. It was really small as well and was $18. The two bags of sun chips and a drink should have been included in that price, but it wasn't... we knew that, so it's cool, but expected larger meals for walking out with a $38 bill. They also don't have any burgers any more, so the menu here should be updated. Sweet tea was over steeped, and that wouldn't be a big deal either except again.... $$$! Lovely spot, pretty tasty! From the start, the service set the tone. My server had that perfect balance--attentive, helpful, and genuinely engaged without hovering. It made the evening feel relaxed and easy. I started with the Parmesan fries because, honestly, who skips Parmesan fries when they're on the menu? They were crisp, flavorful, and just indulgent enough to feel like the right decision. For the entrée, I ordered the pan-seared salmon, and it did not disappoint. It was cooked to perfection, and the seasoning complemented the fish beautifully. The risotto was creamy and well-prepared, and the green beans had that fresh, crisp texture that tied everything together. The atmosphere added to the experience. Being set inside a beautifully restored historic property gave the place character. It felt like a spot where locals gathered--there was a familiarity in the room that made it feel like the place to see and be seen. And while it didn't hurt to walk in alongside the head of the local hospital (pure coincidence, and no, I wasn't a patient), the restaurant stood on its own merit. If you're driving through Big Spring or staying the night, Settles Grill was well worth the stop. It's a place where you don't "settle" at all--you simply have a very good meal in a setting that feels both welcoming and established.
