The service for this Sonic was, today, above par. I've had problems with that in the past. The food today, however, was below standard. If you're going to advertise a "smasher" (with a photo showing nice brown, crispy edges) then that's what you should serve. The patty on my "Double Smasher" was cooked just like a regular patty from Sonic - only thinner. It also had way too much salt. Perhaps some Sonic somewhere is actually making a smash patty, but not this one. Other foods on their menu are typically fine - the Sonic Cheeseburger or the All American hot dog; but skip the "Smasher" because it's nothing like the picture except maybe the bun. read more

Horrible. Waited 35 minutes after placing order for it to be ready. And the order was basically just two drinks. Pressed the red button twice during that time to check on the order and the employee was rude and very unfriendly. Had to send back my Sprite due to no syrup in it. Was brought another one, but that one had no syrup either. Told the employee just to forget it and was told my order would be credited for the drink. I doubt that will happen. Place my order through the mobile app and ask for condiments. Got to the window and specifically asked if all my condiments were in the bag and they looked in the bag and said yes. I start to drive away and check my order and there were zero condiments in the bag. Very disappointed! I actually asked them to verify the condiments were in there, they look and said yes they were and there was absolutely none in the bag so what can I say other than no excuse! They always get my drink right, unlike the other Sonic I'm about to review. I always use the app, so drinks are half price. USE THE APP! They also run app specials that I have used several times. Waited 15 minutes to be served at machine in parking lot after pushing the red button. Decided it may be better to order inside. I go inside to order at the machine , after pushing the button i wait 3 minutes, bimbo looking manager comes to tell me "we are no longer accepting inside orders". I sit down on the booth in the store to order in app, and am then told by the same bimbo, "customers are no longer allowed inside the store", bear in mind theres 2 other people sitting waiting for their food. I want more than anything to leave and not give this incompetent store my business, but my wife is pregnant and as any husband will know cravings are more of a necessity than request. I proceed to stand outside in the howling wind, place the mobile app order wait 20 minutes and finally get my food. This whole ordeal took over an hour and when I finally get back to my hotel room, im delighted to find that they got my order wrong. I went to Sonic and made through the drive through window. My Order was brought to the window and it was $3.23. I gave the young woman a five dollar bill, and she asked if I had the 23rd ts. I told her I had no change, and this was strange that she had none. I have been given the same information by a car hop who brought my order to my car the week before. I was told that I was lucky she even waited on me, that she had an assistant who did not show up to work, and she almost had cancer. I left with a one dollar bill. I would gladly given her a tip; moreover, I had a mastectomy for cancer years before and had to return to work for days later to keep my insurance. The manager at this certain Sonic is extremely rude. I understand that as a teenager we aren't take. to literally and some can be disrespectful, but in this case my friends and I weren't. We went inside the store to use the bathroom when all of the sudden she started banging on the door telling us to get out and trying to refuse us servic. The slowest Sonic that I have ever been to. This has a happened a couple times now. Currently, we are waiting for a strawberry shake that my husband ordered about 30 minutes ago. He got his food and they forgot his shake. He even ordered an extra limeade for me later and we got that drink but still no shake. My husband just purchased food from this Sonic. He came home and is missing half of the order. We live outside of town and won't be wasting gas going back to this sonic. There were already three cars in the drive thru so I went to a stall and ordered. I waited about 3-4 minutes and nothing while I watched all three drive thru cars get through. I called in again and they said "it's on it's way now". Another 3 minutes and another car through the drive through and nothing so I left. I can't believe how poor the service is as this place. We have gone here for a long time, but the last month or so the service has been terrible. They have become very slow almost like it's intentional. I waited 45 minutes the other day at the carhop and never received my order. A few days later I went with my kids we waited 45 minutes in the drive-through when there was only three cars in front of us. Once we got to the speaker they never asked to take our order, The lady at the intercom left her speaker on and we could hear her she was cussing to her in coworkers , we told her we were ready to order after the 7 minutes of her talking. She never replied to us we went to the window they acted as if they did not see us we finally left this was about an hour process and we left without anything . Alright, I've been to this Sonic many times and have not parked to eat. However, there are some critical discrepancies that make this a mediocre location. The Food: Good. That's about it. I do need to mention that they have a pretty large menu to choose from which is great. I've tried burgers, hot dogs, burritos, cheese sticks, tater tots, fries, etc. You name it, I've probably tried it. The quality is about what you'd expect from a fast food place. The taste will vary depending on your age or hunger. It seems most fast food places tasted better when I was a teen, and if you're hungry it'll taste like heaven of course :) It's a decent fix if you want junk food. The Drinks/Desserts: Well above average. There is a giant selection here too. My entire family LOVES slushies and this Sonic does them well. The desserts are pretty tasty too but I'd stick with slushies. I recommend going during their happy hour from 2-5 daily; it's a steal! You can't really go wrong with desserts here. The Service: GARBAGE! I'm sorry Sonic but we dread coming here because the wait is horrendous. Every single time we end up waiting and waiting and waiting just to pay for our simple two slush drink order. The people aren't rude or anything, but this place moves so slow that it really brings it to the bottle of the barrel. Whether we order two drinks, four drinks, or a giant meal for four people, we always wait at least 4-7 minutes for each person in front of us and another 4-7 minutes at the window. Now, imagine having five people in front of you; that's too much. My understanding is that drive-thrus take precedence so I can only imagine the drive-in. Make sure to plan ahead when coming here. Be prepared to wait; sometimes up to 25 minutes. Oh, and make sure to check your food before leaving. These guys tend to mix up orders or forget important condiments like ranch and marinara. Arriving home with the wrong food after enduring this wait equals rage; trust me, I know! The Verdict: Honestly, these guys deserve four stars but the service absolutely kills it. I can't tell you how many times I've seen the Sonic sign while driving and said: "Hey look, want some treats?" with my wife replying: "No way! We don't have time, let's go to the one on the other side of town; we'll get home faster." To Sonic: FIX your processes to make your folks quicker Sonic, that's the only thing that separates you between being lousy and great. You've got potential! read more
