The bathtub was dirty or stained. They charge $12 for parking and tgey charged me $10 for a bottle of water. Ridiculous prices in theur little market area.

Overall I had a decent one night stay. Friendly staff, safe and convenient location. The bed is comfortable and the sofa as well. They provide a few hygiene basics in room: shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand soap bar, two bath towels (wish there was one or two additional ones). The room was mostly clean, however there was what appeared to be dried blood and snot on the inner shower curtain, ew. In regards to the television, the only large streaming service on there is Netflix (no Hulu or Amazon). This place provided me all the basics so it was good enough for me for a night and I would stay again.

Disgusting to say the least. Checked in to stay overnight for a wedding only to find either fecal matter or blood specs on the sheets. We called to let them know and offered to change rooms but the casual response like this is just a quick fix of a room change left us grossed out we left 15mins after checking in and did not stay there. Money down the drain.

Dirty towels in hotel room at Sonesta Select

First night, there were dirty towels in the bathroom and there weren't any sheets in the room for the for the pull out bed. When sheets were requested, they never came. The next night, 2 unopened bottles of water that I placed in the closet that morning were missing. I informed the front desk of the issue and they said it couldn't have been housekeeping because they "don't come til the 4th day." Yet someone was in the room because they replaced out towels and put the pull out away. Could have been so much better!

Five stars because Sonesta was exactly as I expected for a reasonably priced and pet friendly hotel. My husband and I stayed 4 nights, with our two dogs and had a perfectly nice time. Everyone who worked there was friendly, and helpful. Our room was clean, and spacious (two queens), and the lobby/common areas are have lots of places to hang out. Behind the hotel is a large grassy area for dogs, and either this hotel only had super courteous pet owners, or the hotel maintains that area because it was almost pristine. We were lucky enough to arrive on the night they were debuting a new cocktail, and enjoyed some yummy food and said cocktail. Special shout-out to Melanie and Ramon, who were truly wonderful and so welcoming. The hotel id situated is a shopping area, so there are plenty of food options within walking distance. I'd absolutely stay here again.

Blood/Pubic hairs on toilet areas. GROSS.

A few days before our stay, I called with some questions and was glad to speak directly with the onsite staff instead of a call center. The front desk team was friendly and helpful both over the phone and in person. Upon arrival, check-in was quick and easy. Despite what must be a high guest turnover, the apartment was clean and well maintained. The carpets were free of stains. Despite a few minor scuffs, the furniture was clean and in good shape. The refrigerator and microwave were clean and odor-free. The hotel also serves a simple breakfast each morning, with hot options like waffles, scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, and oatmeal, plus cold items like yogurt, cereal, fruit, and breads, along with coffee, tea, and juices.

Place was very clean, with an adequately proportioned sitting area where I got some work done. Nearby restaurants included 2 beer pubs and a cafe on site. Dirty Chai at Filice on the corner (Verve coffee) before I continued my journey south. I'd definitely stay here again.

All of Camarillo's hotels seem to be along the 101 freeway, meaning constant traffic noise. Bella Capri is on a less busy stretch of Ventura Blvd, away from the freeway, and the rooms face inwards around a small parking lot. So there's not much audible traffic noise. The rooms are small and clearances are tight, particularly in the bathroom. Our room had a comfy queen size bed, microwave, good sized mini fridge, TV, and a small round table. The free WiFi was on the slow side. Shower pressure was good but I had to frequently adjust the temperature to keep the water hot. Noise isolation was so-so. We didn't hear neighbors or plumbing through walls, but we did hear what sounded like a clothes washer on the other side. Every day we could hear the sound of people in the room above walking around. And in the very early hours of the morning (like 5am), I would get woken up by some thudding sounds outside; it sounded like someone throwing a heavy sack of something. So I stopped keeping the windows open overnight. Fortunately, the air conditioning unit worked well. There's supposed to be a small room with some fitness equipment, but we were told that it was closed while the staff figures out some ventilation issues since people complained that it gets too hot in there. And there's supposedly free breakfast, but that wasn't available to us because we booked through a travel portal. Overall, we had an okay stay here considering that the price was reasonable. Note that check-in ends at 10pm, so if you get here past that, you're out of luck. We forgot about the check-in time the first night and ended up having to stay with my parents an extra night. At least the price was still reasonable even after losing a night!

Check in was quick and easy. The front desk receptionist, who I assume was fairly new, was really nice! I requested a late check out and she gave us an extra hour which was super helpful after a long day before our departure. Later that night, the water machine had to be refilled and she offered us 2 free water bottles instead of having us wait. Really nice! The jacuzzi was a pleasant surprise. The room was clean and VERY spacious... the pillows were also comfortable! One thing I would recommend they do is, ensure that the alarm clocks are reset/turned off before a new guest checks in. The alarm did wake us up at around 7 am, we never set it! The housekeepers and the staff were also very nice :) The breakfast was a hit as well! They had plenty of options AND a cool pancake machine! Lastly, I want to shout them out for having a non dairy milk option. I have never seen that at any other hotel, so I'm also upset given I'm allergic to milk. That was great! Thank you, would recommend

The room did not have an odd or strong chemical smell. The room came with a TV, coffee maker, safe, mini fridge and microwave; all in working conditions. Water pressure was great. The only complaint was in another room that we got moved to - because we decided to extend last minute, some of the usb outlets were not working. Other than that, the room fit all our needs for our trip. The amenities include a pool, hot tub, breakfast, wifi, gym and a guest laundry. They do sell some OTC medications, snacks and microwaveable foods next to the front desk and they call it "the market". Very convenient. SERVICE: The service is what led me to give a 5 star. The room itself would have been a 3-4 star but the service was great. This branch had amazing staff who greeted you with a smile from the lobby, breakfast bar or just simply in the hallways. We felt so welcomed which made the experience even better. The front desk agents were knowledgeable and super accommodating to our questions or requests. The staff that helps prep the breakfast bar were so attentive and was even willing to wait after we're done with our plates. Quick service with refills and clean up. Just top notch service. Overall, the service at this place set a standard for other similar hotels or other Holiday Inn hotels. Plenty of parking in a well lit lot. The amenities and the room were reasonable for the price. I would definitely stay at this branch again whenever I'm in the area visiting family.

I have had a membership here for 3 years and have loved coming to the hotel to utilize what the membership has to offer. One of the "offers" is that we are given a pool pass to use throughout the year and I thought we were able to bring guests, but I guess that's not the case. I called the front desk and was transferred to Elizabeth who was rude from the get go. I asked if I could use my pool pass for a family member and she said no - only you can use it and the pass is verified with a number on the back of the card. My card does not have this number, and she accused me of lying. She also was extremely unprofessional and said "I don't know what to tell you girlfriend" when I asked if there is anything she could do to help resolve the situation. I told her that I was excited to renew my $350 membership this year but now I will not be renewing because of her unsatisfactory service. Her response was extremely sarcastic saying "Thanks for your phone call!". I expected a lot more from this highly rated hotel. I will not be going back ever again, and people who live in The Colony or surrounding areas should take note of this.
