Dryed blood on the bed sheets

We got room 146 and found hair in both beds and dryed blood on the pillows. We moved into room 130 and we found once again dryed blood on the pillows, bed covers and the carpet had NOT been vacuumed. The front reception was very apologetic and professional. We checked out 15 minutes after we got there. I don not recommend. We took picture but somehow, I cannot post it.

Super shady. If you're a woman or traveling in a group of women don't stay here. Rooms stink, basically no room service and full of weirdos.

Not a bad stay overall, but definitely a few things worth mentioning...!…read more First impressions are everything, right? Well, mine got off to a slightly rocky start. I walked in and was greeted by a rather somber, goth-styled young man with black fingernails who seemed less than thrilled to be checking me in. Not particularly friendly, not particularly welcoming, and honestly, he gave me the impression that helping guests was a chore he'd rather avoid. Not exactly the warm hospitality you hope for after a day of traveling! Fortunately, things improved once I got to my room. The room itself was actually quite decent! Not enormous by any means, but spacious enough for a comfortable stay. It featured a king-size bed, couch, TV, a couple of movable ottomans, and a nice little workspace. There was also a convenient kitchenette-style area with a countertop, coffee maker, sink, microwave, and mini fridge. Perfect for a one or two night stay! Really, what more do you need? One thing noticeably missing was a luggage rack. I eventually requested one, and our less-than-enthusiastic front desk "gentleman" delivered it to my room, although he still didn't seem particularly happy about it. Oh well...! The room has an interesting sliding barn-style door that moves left or right depending on whether you want access to the bathroom or closet. Clever use of space, although the closet itself is TINY! If you're traveling with a substantial wardrobe, good luck...! Now, the bathroom actually impressed me! Clean, bright, modern, and thoughtfully designed. Plenty of fresh towels, a glass-enclosed shower, and something I particularly appreciated: several conveniently placed wall hooks near electrical outlets. As someone who travels with business clothes and likes to steam out wrinkles, that's a surprisingly useful (and rare) feature...! The shower featured large, wall-mounted pump dispensers for shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. And here's where Hampton Inn & Suites deserves a special shout-out...! THE HAND SOAP!! How many times have you stayed at a hotel where the shower has beautiful pump dispensers, but the sink still gets one of those ridiculous little bars of soap?! NOT HERE! They actually installed a pump dispenser for hand soap next to the sink! Such a simple thing, but THANK YOU for getting this right! It's the little details that make a difference and why waste and throw away a bar when I'm going to use it a half dozen times...? Parking was easy and plentiful, although whoever painted the parking spaces apparently thinks everyone drives a compact car! Those spaces are pretty narrow. If you're driving a large truck, you might find yourself wishing for a little extra breathing room. Just be that guy. Take two spaces. Nobody wants door dings! Another big plus is the LOCATION! You're surrounded by restaurants, grocery stores, shopping, and just about anything else you could possibly need. Wood Ranch Grill, Vietnamese, Thai, Italian, Chinese, Sushi, Fast Food (yuck) and plenty of other dining options are just a short drive away. There's even a BevMo nearby! For anyone traveling on business to the local military bases, it's also conveniently situated for visits to Naval Air Station Point Mugu and Naval Base Ventura County at Port Hueneme. PRO TIP: When booking, pay attention to the hotel's location relative to the freeway and request a room facing AWAY from the traffic! Road noise can make a big difference in how well you sleep. Some folks can sleep through anything. Me? I'm a country boy, and I appreciate my peace and quiet! So, would I stay here again? Actually, YES! Despite the rather chilly welcome, the room was comfortable, the amenities were good enough, the bathroom was nicely stocked and the location is excellent. A friendlier front desk experience would have gone a long way toward earning that fourth star. A solid 3.5 stars from me! A perfectly reasonable place to stay for a night or two, especially if you're visiting the Camarillo area for business. Just give me a quiet room away from the freeway, a luggage rack, and maybe a smile at check-in next time...! Peace out!

Since our room was on the third floor, we had to carry all of our luggage up the stairs, which was inconvenient. We appreciated that the hotel waived the parking fee to help make up for the inconvenience. At checkout, they also provided a 25% discount on our stay, which we appreciated. The only remaining concern is that we are still unsure why we were charged an additional $25 at check-in. Additionally, we did not receive our Hilton member incentive as expected.

Honestly, this place is great for both weekend getaways and longer stays! The room has a full kitchen with a stove, full-sized refrigerator, sink, and dishwasher. They provide everything you need to cook, including pots, pans, plates, utensils, cutting boards, dish soap, and dishwasher pods. Just bring your groceries! There's also a small dining area and living room. The TV swivels so you can watch from either the couch or the bed. Thankfully, we didn't see any roaches or ants. They offer breakfast in the morning, but we didn't get a chance to try it. My only complaint is the parking fee. Parking should be free when you're already paying to stay at the hotel. The location is convenient, too! It's only about 10 minutes from the Camarillo Outlets and plenty of restaurants. Overall, I'd definitely return if we needed a place to stay in Camarillo!

They also were so attentive, and ensured that I got my request for a high floor and feather-free pillows. I told them usually hotels ignore my pillow request. They are better than most on that! The hotel was quiet overnight, the bed was comfortable, and pillows were perfect so I slept like a baby. The king room was spacious and clean. Great, hot shower. The complimentary in room coffee, lobby coffee bar (not pictured), and breakfast the next morning were so impressive, I had to post pics of my plate and my loaded yogurt complete with granola and fresh coconut. The staff was kind and mostly friendly. Parking was safe and cost about $15 a night. Highly recommend!

Check in was quick and easy. The front desk receptionist, who I assume was fairly new, was really nice! I requested a late check out and she gave us an extra hour which was super helpful after a long day before our departure. Later that night, the water machine had to be refilled and she offered us 2 free water bottles instead of having us wait. Really nice! The jacuzzi was a pleasant surprise. The room was clean and VERY spacious... the pillows were also comfortable! One thing I would recommend they do is, ensure that the alarm clocks are reset/turned off before a new guest checks in. The alarm did wake us up at around 7 am, we never set it! The housekeepers and the staff were also very nice :) The breakfast was a hit as well! They had plenty of options AND a cool pancake machine! Lastly, I want to shout them out for having a non dairy milk option. I have never seen that at any other hotel, so I'm also upset given I'm allergic to milk. That was great! Thank you, would recommend

The room was ready before check in time. The kids were looking forward to going swimming after our afternoon in Ojai. We were warmly greeted by the staff upon check in with quick excellent service. The room was extra cleaned with a small fridge and microwave. We were bummed later to find out the swimming pool was under renovation, but the front desk called their sister property next door so we can use their swimming pool. It was an absolutely much bigger pool so we got extremely happy. The best part, we had the whole entire pool to ourselves. Then the weather shifted to a colder evening, but luckily the swimming pool was heated. Our evening became even better due to happy hour. My friend and I enjoyed $5 tequila sunrises. The bartenders were so generous with their heavy hands pouring mainly tequila in our cocktails. They do have a great happy hour menu! We really enjoyed our stay and this trip was a memorable one.
