Stayed here 3 nights and had a flawless experience. If you're looking for something reasonably priced, but don't want to cheap out at a sketchy feeling motel, this is the perfect place the stay. The rooms are super spacious, clean, and the furnishings are updated and modern. The beds are also very comfortable and the sheets are of good quality. My favorite part: high speed and smooth wifi connection. I had no problem playing online games on my laptop at night while winding down. Probably the homiest and most comfortable hotel I've stayed at in years. Location is also top tier as it's located walking distance from a 24/7 mcdonalds and right next to the highway. read more

The staff also wears gloves when cleaning rooms and making food. There are some hand sanitizers available for customers to use. This place is open and available with no limited capacity. They are sanitizing in between customers. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. They have pet friendly rooms. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is decent. Lots of parking spots to choose from. Take your pick. The spots are pretty big and wide. Food: I grabbed their complimentary breakfast in the morning. The food was meh. Bland really, so I grabbed a lot of salt and pepper to add some flavors to my food. They had cereal, bagels, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, pancakes, toast, oatmeal, yogurt, coffee, OJ, and milk. Hotel room: My best friend and I got two queen beds. It had a TV and mini fridge. No microwave in the room. No complimentary water in the room. The ice machine on the third floor was broken, so we had to walk down to the first floor to grab ice. It's awesome that they put two different types of pillows on the bed for the customers to choose from: a harder pillow and a super soft pillow. Also worth mentioning is that there are no complimentary toiletries (toothbrush and toothpaste) in the bathroom. The bathroom just has some towels, body lotion, conditioner, and shampoo. There was no soap in my bathroom. Hence me removing one star. I just used the shampoo as soap to wash my hands. Also, the walls in the hotel are so fricken thin. We could hear everything next door. Also, the bathroom door is a sliding door. It would make so much noise whenever we opened and closed the door. Someone needs to WD40 the door. Hence the reason why I decided to remove another star. My friend and I didn't use the pool, so I have no comments about it. Staff: The staff here are very friendly, welcoming, and kind. They accept both cash and credit cards. A wonderful, reasonably priced place to stay! We made it to Camarillo really late, and weren't 100% sure where we were going to stay. This was the first place we called and they thankfully had rooms for the night. We got everything set up over the phone and once we made it into town we were able to check in very easily. The lobby was very clean and the staff was friendly. We made it to our room and everything was clean and honestly, it was one of the comfy beds we've ever stayed on (come to find out they actually just recently replaced the beds which probably contributed to that). The next morning we indulged in the free breakfast, which had quite a few options, including vegetarian/vegan options (though not too too many). We had a wonderful night here and will definitely make this our regular place to stay. read more

I have to give a big shoutout to the staff here who have been so friendly and professional while Im staying here for the holidays. Especially Carol at the front desk!!!! This morning the power went out due to the storm and everyone that had questions she helped feel right at home and cared for. There were some difficult customers too, and yet she handled the situation with such grace and patience that it really impressed me!!! The holidays are a tough time to work and tough for a lot of people traveling, but from everyone working here I felt a true sense of community and care. Its the sort of compassion and hospitality that comes from the best and most seasoned professional hospitality workers. Happy holidays to the entire hampton staff, you all rock!!!! Also the room is nice and breakfast was great. The kitchen staff is SO on top of getting things out quickly, no food or beverage was running half low for even 30 seconds before another was out. The hotel has large rooms, free breakfast and an abundance of parking. However do not ask them to fix anything. They know what is damaged or not working and won't do anything about it. Even when you tell front counter you still have an issue they are dismissive and say that the work order said fixed.so if you're here to sleep and go out it is a good place. If you're someone who expects some sort of customer service and for them to fix anything that's broken in the room, skip this hotel. Conveniently located right off the 101 freeway. Lots of restaurants and shops close by (short drive to the outlets). They gave our room tonight away while we were driving to Camarillo, then they put us at a neighboring hotel & tried to suggest we were saving money by them paying for the first night. A mixed bag here, but I need to say something. Room was large, but as a wheelchair accessible one, it was uncomfortable for someone not in a wheelchair. (Bed very low to ground, which made a loud, clunking sound when getting in or out, low-height shower head, cold, hard floors, almost no counter space in bathroom and no electrical outlet either!) Excellent, high quality pillows, however.... Free breakfast was the highly- processed type with no fruit and remarkably tasteless "eggs." Excellent coffee however. Only one elevator for the entire hotel(!) and the stairs were inconveniently located down long hallways at the property back. And why, why the charge for parking in Camarillo? Staff was lovely, however. Will avoid this hotel chain in the future at all costs. read more

Do not book in this hotel. terrible service. i was supposed to attend a conference in camarillo check in 1/21 and check out on 1/22 and a colleague told me to book with this hotel. unfortunately, the conferences were cancelled and sadly, one of our principals was killed in a car accident and conference couldn't continue due to the sadness, and trauma we were all experiencing. Expedia and the Hampton Inn have been giving me the round around. Expedia personel said to contact Hampton for refund, I contacted Hampton Inn and then they tell me to go thru Expedia. It seems money is more important for them. i spoke to Anthony one of the general managers of the hotel and they were very inconsiderate because of their so called policy. they refused to give me a refund so i am out over $300. shame on them for not caring and their inhumane ways. money is more important than mental health. now, i will go thru my district to see if they can do the refund. read more

I booked a room through a 3rd party for two nights and when I got my confirmation within 5 minutes I realized it was only for one night. I cancelled the reservation and attempted to book the room for two nights and was told there wasn't a room available for those dates and had to find a room elsewhere. I received a cancellation notice from Getaroom.com. only to be informed that I would be charged for the entire room fee as well as an additional booking fee. I was told that it was a penalty for cancelling my reservation. All Hampton Inn could say was to contact the 3rd party and that many of them were very sketchy. We booked it last minute as we decided to come to so cal one night early. Booked the room 1 day before our stay. We came in around 4:30-5 pm to check in and was told our room was not ready. Which was fine. But there was no place for us to check our bags so we had to wait for our room to be ready. Or reload back in the car to make to our dinner. Since the front desk stated it would only take 15 mins we waited. But it actually took over an hour. We complain about that to the front desk staff and she said she would compensate half of the parking for the night which was only $10 so basically $5 off. $5! $5 off for not having our room ready in time and making us wait an hour longer. Highly disappointed in that. Our room was just ok. It wasn't very clean. There was hair in the sink. And the towels looked dirty. Had to ask for new towels. We had booked the suite as there was 5 of us. We asked for blankets for my son as he was going to sleep on the pull out couch. They brought us one sheet and the thinnest blankets ever. Luckily we had more blankets in the car. The pool & spa was the Highlight for us. Heated and clean. In the time it took to book the rooms, I still have only received information from one hotel. Kristina seems to understand the meaning of customer service and she was a pleasure to work with. For the last year and a half, I have traveled to SoCal, and stayed at the Hampton Inn in Camarillo, numerous times. While staying here, I had always asked for a room on the first floor, and had been accommodated, as I needed a hip replacement. The room that I had always asked for is usually a 2 queen suite, FIRM Queen Beds, with couch and small sink kitchen/Fridge/microwave. Beds are up on a pedestal and Very FIRM. Well, today, my wife and I, could not be accommodated the first floor unit, as they were already filled and told, the unit on the 2nd floor was available. Well, this room is definitely, nothing like the room I've stayed in on the first floor. The bed, is barely off the floor, and the mattress is not firm, more like a TRAMPOLINE. I'm appalled at the price that I'm being charged to stay here, as, this feels like a room that Biden would put ILLEGAL ALIENS. PATHETIC!!!! Nothing, NOTHING about this is quality. I will not post this, until something is resolved. Well, I've tried resolving this and we were given a choice that didn't work for us. The room looks like everything can from a used storage shed, and I'll post the pictures, and let the chips fall. Hampton Suites has seen its better days, and I'll probably never be back. While working on a project in the Oxnard area I ended up here while there were no rooms available anywhere else in Thousand Oaks and I am glad that I did. Located right of the 101 freeway and the Los Posas Rd Exit along the NE section of the freeway. After staying there this location makes perfect sense since it is literally within minutes of everything. The hotel seems to be fairly new and everything looks nice and clean throughout the hotel. The rooms offer comfortable beds and my favorite windows that open. The bathrooms are very nice with walk-in showers and sliding doors. I also enjoyed their free breakfast which now offers a bunch of smoothie's varieties for those who looking to eat a little bit healthier. The only bad part during my stay were the somewhat thin walls and the ice-machine on the 3rd floor not working while I was there. Verdict: Overall, I would rate this a 4 star hotel for reasonable priced rooms, friendly service and cleanliness. I'll be back! Enjoy and Buenas Noches. read more

Camarillo location right off the freeway. My boyfriend stayed here for approximately 1 month for work. I visited for a day. His room was at one of the top floor suites. The room was spacious, clean, had a microwave and mini fridge. The AC worked and pillows were so comfy. There is a pool and jacuzzi. There used to be breakfast, but now during covid times, its just coffee and some light food. I'm not sure as I didn't attend breakfasts. The front desk staff was wonderful, friendly and went above expectations. Con: I heard that not all rooms have microwave, so if you need it, this has to be requested. Parking for additional guests beyond first car costs $10. read more

I stayed here for a quick trip up & back. When we checked in the front desk lady gave us our key cards, we thought her "7" was a "2" so we tried to enter the wrong room. We notified a nearby house keeper about our issue, and asked her to try and open the room. She made it seem like our issue, I went down stairs and the front desk just told us, "that's a 7 not a 2" after sending the maintenance guy upstairs. Our room was clean for the most part, a baggie was left behind in the bathroom but other than that it was fine. The hot tub was closed & the breakfast was decent. I just don't believe if possible to water down orange juice & think it's okay to serve. The only thing I really didn't like about staying were was the $25 charger per car for overnight parking. Anytime I've paid for parking it's been a gated or fenced in lot. The Hamptons parking lot neighbors pollo loco & McDonald's so needless to say u can move ur car 2ft and still have a clear view from ur hotel plus save $25. read more

I stayed here on Saturday and I was happy with my stay. The checkin process was easy and took under 5 minutes. We got 2 free bottles of water when we arrived. We were booked on the 2nd floor all the way down the hall in a corner. The room was 2 double beds with a couch. The room was clean for the most part. You can tell it was not vacuumed because there were crumbs over by the couch. I will be back but will ask for a room closer to the elevator. The hotel offers a free breakfast buffet. I was impressed by all the food they had for breakfast. I will definitely be back during my next visit to Camarillo. read more

Despite the rating: BRIDGET was THEE BEST. From the moment I checked in early to the end, Bridget made my stay at the Hampton Inn and Suites in Camarillo. Located just off the 101, it is just a bridge across the way from the Camarillo Outlet and a bunch of eateries. Bridget even gave me a list of local places to check out, that I used to find an excellent ramen place! She gave me the opportunity to pick the location of my room, though I wished I picked the larger set-up suite. Nonetheless, found the room okay! There were breadcrumbs on the desk chair and some trash left behind, so unfortunately that is why my ranking went down. They also didn't have enough towels in the bathroom, but luckily the front desk provided extra upon request without hassle. Business office was great --- easily accessible. I had to make a quick print and it was convenient to have access to a printer. Breakfast: plenty of hot and cold options. Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate packets available all day. Snacks to take with. Definitely a place that will keep your tummy happy. Overall, was a good stay minus the thorough cleanliness of the room, itself. read more

These days I am happy to get a clean room in a safe place. I will return. It was a great place to stop and sleep before hitting that terrible LA traffic. Only complaints. Breakfast sucked. I only ate cereal because the link sausages and country potatoes were too spicy to eat. My dog wouldn't even eat them. Bathroom fan was too loud to leave on at night. Cons: A male employee tried coming into my room (317) while i was indecent. I had put the door hanger on the outside of the door to let them know we dont need the room to be serviced, yet someone tried their key and the doorknob to come in. When my fiance stopped the male employee from opening the door, he noticed that the employee didn't even have a housekeeping cart. This was very suspicious because it was 9am and the employee who tried opening the door didn't have the authorization from us to come in, nor a housekeeping cart. There is a leak coming from the closet roof, and all maintenance and housekeeping did was put a trash can under it. Its okay for now, and it seems to be catching water. Just gotta be careful due to the staff saying the electrical is up there too. The fire alarm woke us up at 11pm. I grabbed my fiance and baby and ran out of the room. Once we stepped out and saw the other patrons exiting their rooms, the alarm stopped. We all went back to our rooms. Another fire alarm went off around 3am. Same thing, grabbed my fiance and baby and went out the door. Less people came out of their rooms. Then the alarm stopped. We all went back into the room once again. The last fire alarm woke us up at 9am. This time, my family was the only one out of our rooms. The alarm was a joke at this point. When asked about what happened during breakfast conversations with staff members, a technician said that it wasn't kids or a prank being pulled. It was a technical error of the hotel that's causing the alarms to go off. At checkout, my fiance spoke with the manager. She could barely speak English, but didn't want to budge at all about any compensation of our stay. He told her that it was inconvenient being woken up by the alarms, and the leak in the room, and the staff member who tried coming into our room. The manager just kept looking at the computer, and said she can take 20% off. Once another party came to the front to check out, they also complained. The manager said she can only take off 30%, and to contact corporate. That's understandable to contact corporate because there's only so much that the manager can do. In all, I wouldn't recommend staying here. Yeah, it's a solid bed, and yeah the provide standard breakfast, but there was nothing relaxing about coming back to the hotel. Pros: friendly staff member- the lady in the front (black hair, pale skin) was extremely nice! She was able to check me in, and answered all of my questions. She even recommended me some sushi places nearby. She's great, i would like to make sure she is recognized! I wish she worked when we were checking out, I would like to let her know she's the only staff member who would empathize our situation. read more

Being courteous and kind doesn't excuse the fact that you dropped the ball on doing your job by preparing reservations in a timely manner. The whole point of the reservation is to have it prepared on time, same as when you won't let guests come in early for the room because they didn't reserve that time. The location is very close shopping and places to eat within walking distant such as McDonald's, El Pollo Loco, Carls Jr and etc; They also serve breakfast every morning which had some very tasty options to choose from. I honestly didn't even step foot in the room I felt so unsafe with the environment I refused to get out of my car and cancelled on the spot. Hampton inn took me in completely last minute and it was an all around great experience. The hotel was clean and up-kept. The staff was pleasant and made me feel right at home. DON'T STAY HERE!!!!! This hotel charged me a pet fee for my service pet. When questioned by Hilton staff why they did so, the hotel clerk lied I had signed some form stating my service pet wasn't a service animal. I never filled out a form! I made my reservation with the help of Hilton phone staff! Upon arrival I never filled out a form for my service pet. In addition this hotel illegally asked me to provide proof my pet was a service pet upon questioning of the fee by Hilton staff!! It is illegal under the Federal ADA and California ADA laws to require proof of a service pet's status! Plus there is no recognized certificate for a service pet!! Don't stay at this hotel! The staff are rude and they rip you off in an illegal fee!! Even after Hilton staff on the phone told them to remove the fee, this location still broke the law and charged me anyway. For this hotel's staff who are ignorant of the LAW: "People with disabilities who use service animals cannot be isolated from other patrons, treated less favorably than other patrons, or charged fees that are not charged to other patrons without animals. In addition, if a business requires a deposit or fee to be paid by patrons with pets, it must waive the charge for service animals." "Staff cannot ask about the person's disability, require medical documentation, require a special identification card or training documentation for the dog, or ask that the dog demonstrate its ability to perform the work or task." https://www.ada.gov/service_animals_2010.htm Federal ADA: a public accommodation may not ask you questions about your disability or demand to see certification, identification, or other proof of your animal's training or status. Additionally, the hotel can not add any cleaning fee you don't have to put the dog on a leash as long as you control them in some way. hotel staff cannot interact with or distract the service animal because they are not the same as the average furry friend.  No, a hotel or other public accommodation can not force an individual with a disability to take a certain guest room. the ADA does not require documentation proving service dog status. The ADA and Department of Justice do not recognize any papers that claim to certify a service dog. staff can not ask you to provide any forms or complete registration documents online.  staff can only ask two questions to a guest with a service animal. They may ask if it is a service animal required for a disability and what task you have trained the dog to do. the hotel staff still has to act according to the rules of conduct the general public should adhere to concerning a service dog. We got in around 8pm and the gentleman at the front desk was wonderful. Great customer service. Got us all checked in and gave us our Hilton honors water and a snack. We had been flying all day and didn't have much to eat and were starving. It was a Sunday night so we didn't expect much other than fast food. We stopped at both Carl's Jr. and pollo loco and they had a sign on the door that said drive though only. Tried looking for gas station hotdogs and stuck out. Then one guy said there was a grocery store and we hit jackpot. Just an FYI for those getting in at night without a car...the grocery store was a good option for food. Sometimes we have to be creative with covid. Anyways, the room all in all was pretty standard for Hampton inn. But here's a few things I noticed and was a little disappointed about: 1) There's no coffee maker in the room (might be a covid thing) not a huge deal 2) there was a corner in the bathroom that seemed to have mold on the wall (didn't do any further investigating) 3) Room felt a bit more humid than I'd like, which left me a bit sticky, even with the air set cold. 4) there was no microwave (can't remember if that standard at Hampton inns) read more
