Our stay started off poorly when we had to request a room change because the couch in our original room was dirty, shredded, and literally coming apart at the seams. Considering one of us was supposed to sleep on it, I was surprised the room was even offered to guests in that condition. Housekeeping was also disappointing. They made the beds and replenished the coffee, but didn't empty our trash or provide fresh towels. There were also food items left outside our door by the previous guests that sat there for nearly 24 hours. Unfortunately, the dining experience wasn't much better. I had to send my lunch back on our first day because it was extremely cold. The following morning, another member of our party was served eggs and sausage that were also terribly cold. I do want to acknowledge something positive. We really appreciated the text communication with Henry. The responses were prompt and helpful, and that was definitely a bright spot during our stay. I understand that things happen, and I certainly don't expect perfection. But when you're paying these kinds of rates, basic cleanliness, properly maintained furniture, attentive housekeeping, and hot food shouldn't be too much to ask. What makes this especially disappointing is that we've loved coming here year after year. I've never once thought "oh I wish they had this or that," because they literally included everything you could possibly need. The pool and hot tub are exquisite. The views are wonderful. Birds of all kinds fill the trees in the courtyard area that the hotel encircles. If you are lucky enough to get a harbor view, you will see sea birds, sea lions, and maybe even dolphins. We are missing this place this year, but can't wait to be back next year. It really is such a gem. We were on the 2nd floor where we faced the beach and was away from the Main Street. We were above the garages which is probably a nice feature to not have to worry about making too much noise for anyone that would have been on the first floor. The CIS provided everything you would need (aside from your own personal toiletries). We had a small stackable washer and dryer in the unit, there was dish soap, laundry detergent packets and coffee and tea. In the bathroom there was a mounted dispenser for shampoo, conditioner and body wash. I was one of the lucky ones to sleep in the queen bed. It was comfortable but the pillows were really small and disappeared the minute your head laid on them. I feel like there could have been a few more extra pillows around so that each guest could have had 2 pillows. When you open the windows, we got great air flow. It got a little stuffy at night so I would recommend opening the windows a bit if you are on the second floor. The bathroom was large but lacked ventilation as there is no window in it. There was a fan in the bathroom but it wasn't really working well enough. I loved that we were about 1,000 ft from the beach. The manager, Jen was great and making sure we were doing okay. She gave us Sangria on Saturday afternoon and there is fresh pop corn in the lobby. You can borrow beach equipment from the office. We borrowed a few beach chairs. We were a little disappointed when we saw that our unit was not the one featured on VRBO which highlighted a hot tub on the deck. What we saw on VRBO also showed that were would have more than 1 bathroom but we did not get that exact advertisement. I think they just use a standard ad as "the model" but you don't get exactly what is advertised. We were still happy with the condo and the services that we would stay again.

It's one of those spur of the moment weekend away. Some friends and I talked about a getaway for a…read moreweekend and all was looking at hotels to stay at. Someone found this and we were all about it. First off, it's a boat y'all. A fun getaway and on a boat, win win. I've stayed on cruises ships before but this was a first for our own. It's docked in Ventura harbor but not accessible to the open water. Upon checking in, which we had contact with the the hostess, wonderful lady in charge. We asked about an early check in but wasn't for sure if that could work out. Either way, we spent the morning on Main Street for brunch and then received a text offering us a check in a little early. Which was nice. Directions was given via text explaining where to park. She even guided us to the lot that would best be suited and nearby where there boat would be. Parking pass was given as well. Once there, she greeted us and walked us to the boat. It's docked right in the heart of the Ventura harbor where restaurants, shops are accessible right outside our door. Before getting on, of course mask was worn. She asked that only one of us would accompany her on so she can show them around the boat. She guided them through the ins and out of the boat. What to do and not to do and so on. Once we were on, the whole experience was pretty exciting. Upon entering the boat from the side and back. There's a seating area with a picnic table with umbrella. Also two chairs, where the driver of the boat and passenger would sit. Once in, you go down a couple of steps and your right in the living room/dining room. Living area has a built in sofa that could probably sleep a person. There's also a dining table with chairs and flat screen accompanied with dvd. There's also a kitchen a couple of steps down. Full fridge, sink, microwave, stove, utensils, toaster, coffee maker, kettle and so on. There's a powder room across from the kitchen. One side of the boat sleeps 2. Not full bed but bunk style minus the bunk bed. That's at the front of the boat. To the rear is where the main room is. From there, it sleeps 3. The main bed, a full size and an additional twin size to the opposite. It's also where the main restroom with shower is located. As it's right in the harbor, right outside is quite busy. There's a boat and kayak rental that's in-front of the boat. It didn't bother us. It was nice sitting on the deck and people watching. The kayakers going by and just enjoying the marina. The deck was perfect for drinks during sunset and breakfast in the morning. Overall experience was amazing. We had such a great time on the boat. Location was perfect. Plenty of restaurants to enjoy if your not interested in cooking in. Also, there's plenty of public restrooms in the village if needed. As well as the main club where boaters can utilize for showers and sort if not on your boat. Location is amazing. There's a beach literally walking distance across the parking lot. From the moment we arrived, the staff made it feel special. They had left a little birthday gift for our daughter in the trailer, which was such a thoughtful and unexpected touch. Princess Fiona was adorable and the perfect size for our family of four. We spent hours riding bikes around the property, swinging on the swings, and just enjoying being there. The location is fantastic and incredibly walkable. We walked to dinner and came back to complimentary s'mores, apple cider, and hot cocoa waiting for guests.
