I have been to Sona about 10 times now, and I have NEVER left disappointed. My first visit to her salon I was skeptical because finding someone new to take care of your precious brows is nerve wracking but she did an AWESOME job, and kept my brows nice and full. First time getting my brows done and will be my last. I asked for just a clean up. The lady who did my brows was not friendly and did not speak to me. She was older so I paid no mind. After taking a good look at my brows when she was done they were uneven, she used scissors and cut the beginning on Brow which left a slanted, chopped look. My brows looked crooked and all I asked for was a clean up. The service I received was disappointing. read more

This place used to be my go to place for eyebrows threading! But the past two times I was there I haven't had any good experience. My eyebrows were uneven shape. I told the lady that I wanted long and not too thin of a shape and I got total opposite of what I asked for. Forget about eyebrows tint which lasted only a few days and color started to fade away. read more

I absolutely love this place! I use to come here before I moved out of state(2018) but now that I'm back it is still my go to place. My brows always come out perfect and is comparably painless compared to the many other places I have tried in and out of AZ, not to mention great customer service. I decided to get threaded before my anniversary vacation. My eyebrows look amazing, but I ended up with more than I expected. I asked for a wax and the owner recommended a full face. My face has not stopped breaking out for 5 days now. While in Hawaii I have the little red bumps to show in all my photos. Definitely do not recommend facial waxing if you have fair skin and are sensitive to breakouts with waxing. She assured me I wouldn't break out but the proof is in the photos. Now I have to see if the hair grows back thick and dark before I update my review. She is incredibly kind, but I will have these red bumps in all my memories so it's heartbreaking. read more

Since this pandemic I have been needing to get my eyebrows threaded . I had stop by the Wells Fargo on McQueen and Ray. I saw the salon Sona salon and happened to drop in and the owner was happy to service me. My poor eyebrows were in desperate need of something cleaning up. She was did a fantastic job! It's been a year since I found this place. Owner is one of the friendliest person I've met. Service is excellent. I'm so happy every time I go to get my eyebrows cleaned up. Visited this salon for my very first eye brow threading in AZ since moving here over a year ago! I'm EXTREMELY paranoid about my eyebrows and have always stuck with the same person.. since moving I've continued to visit my go-to person back home all the way in Chicago every few months (talk about sad!) Found this place on yelp because I recently moved to this area and didn't know where to go for my brows. I asked for just a clean up. When she gave me the mirror to look at the first one I was shocked. My eyebrow was paper thin and I told her I didn't like it and she just said it was what fit "my face" and that she had X amount of years doing brows and she would never do that to someone. Yeah okay then was like well what do you want me to do with the other one. Really make it thin like the other obviously I don't want two different eyebrows. Left really upset and the fact that she didn't even admit she was wrong kept insisting that it was what I asked for and next time to ask for thicker. No thank you. I will have to draw in my brows for a few months now to get where I was at. Don't believe the yelp reviews on this place it's phony. read more

I've been coming here for a few months to get my brows threaded and the service is great. Sonal is a very nice and my brows always turn out fabulous and for such a good price, $10 for eyebrows. They also offer other services like facials and haircuts. Last night i finally decided i needed a new person to cut my hair and Sonal did an AMAZING job. My hair is so cute. If I could rate them a negative I would. This review is based on the honesty and integrity of the business owner and the estheticians that work here. As per their prices a full leg wax is $47.99. At the time of payment I was charged $78.00 for a full leg wax. On demanding an explanation I was told because she had more area to wax. In lay man terms because my legs are thicker than an average person. The prices on the menu are based on an average sized person. This is the most ridiculous thing I have heard in my life. I have never been subject to such discriminatory behavior. I paid for it. I have been demanding to speak to the owner for 3 days and no calls have been returned. Based on this I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and will be pursuing legal charges against them. If you are thicker than average beware! This place will rip you off! read more

Not surprised to see a post on discrimination. I went here once with my BFF and she was over charged for being on the plus side as well. The funny part was she was Indian and had less hair removal than myself. The lady didn't charge me anything extra and my BF assumes because I was white I got away. I have been coming here for over a year if not longer. I had been going to brow art 23, and was never happy with my results. I happened to stumble on Sona Salon while exiting the bank. It's so close to my home, and always quick to get in and out. I love her work my brows are thicker, and she always shapes them perfect! Outside of the brows she also offers other salon choices. I was in a pinch trying to find a place to cut my daughter's hair over spring break, and remembered they offer hair cuts. I took my daughter in, and while I didn't ask for her face to be framed with layers we were happy with the results. I will say be specific with hair I personally didn't mind what she did, but others might. The prices are also very affordable. I pay $17 for my brows to be threaded and upper lip wax. The cost was about the same for my daughters hair she is 6 prices will more than likely vary on the hair. read more
