Soft serve ah boong cone.
Garret F.

Had some tasty treats here. I had the matcha soft serve in the ah boong cone. My kids had theirs upside down in a cup. I like that the soft serves were full of flavor. Just one piece of advice...if you really want the ah boong, get it upside down. It's narrow and squeezes the soft serve out when you get to the ah boong and bite in to it. Gets messy. Otherwise, fun concept.

I've been to their other locations in the Houston area so I was happy to know that they opened one in College Station. This place is huge and bright. We usually order the ube upside down taiyaki with nutella filling and strawberry topping. The staff is friendly. I highly recommend this dessert place.

Ice cream cup. Really great!

I have been to other Somisomi's before, the one I frequent is in the Woodlands Metro Park Plaza. But this one in College Station was weird. Icecream was great, however the staff interactions really threw me off. We asked for a combination of flavors like we have done before but apparently "corporate has cracked down on them and they can't combine certain flavors." It's okay, I get it. My girlfriend asked if they could put Nutella filling on the cup, she cannot have the Taiyaki due to a gluten allergy (celiac's). The employee was kind and said yes, but then two other employees started scolding him for trying to be nice. As someone that's worked in food and custom service jobs, this is not how you correct a coworker, even if your position is above him. You don't talk to them that way in-front of customers. I will stick to going to the Woodlands location. Management here doesn't care much about the customer experience.

I have been to SomiSomi up in Washington state, and now this one. Both are clean and friendly and have really yummy treats for your belly!! If you have not been maybe read up on flavors wrote you come because it's not traditional. We will be back for sure!!

Ascending experience. Great ambience and very nice service. Very good prices for a lot of ice cream.

Employees were very nice and helpful since this was our first time there. The ice cream was delicious and the fish shaped cone was so good and cute. We didn't try any fillings yet. Strawberry or macaron on top!! Go try it.

The soft serve is delicious, staff are well trained, and the facility is clean / welcoming to stop at for a little bit.

The taiyakis are made fresh and all the fillings are great. We also really liked the Sakura berry soft serve with cocoa pebbles.

The place was quiet and the music was soothing. Its great to enjoy awesome food. My kimchi soup was great, it had rice cake in there and pork. I wish there was a little more meat and rice cake. The bulgogi was great, the only thing I didn't care for was the noodles. I ate so much, I was completely full. I would come back again for sure and try something else. I would recommend this place.

Once the table was set, most of us ordered unsweet tea and it was tough to drink. It tasted like stale Whataburger tea. I asked for lemons and Sweet N Low but they only had Splenda. She brought out the sides for our table and the kimchi was okay...nothing that had fermented long enough. The cold radish was a highlight. The potatoes were tough and I did not even try the jelly... For our entrees, all of us got bulgogi except for my mother who got the spicy seafood soup. Our friend tried ordering the sautéed chicken but the waitress literally said, "is it your first time? You get bulgogi. I promise." She completely hijacked his ordering experience and ended up with a dish he didn't like. None of us liked our food (except my mother). "Mom, y'all (referring to me and her) make better bulgogi than this at home," said my brother. I don't disagree...the texture was rubbery and it was tasteless. This being my 3rd time here (I always get some form of bibimbap), I expected the same quality. The presentation was nice but so much was lacking. Great service, C-tier food.

Came here with my coworkers. I've been here several times, but I haven't been here in over 2 years…read moreso I was nervous that it'd be drastically different because I loved this place. They did change the menu a bit, but it had what I exactly wanted. We ordered the Szechuan Mala Spicy Rice Noodle Bowl w/ Beef Slices, Popcorn Chicken, Shrimp Tempura, and Xiao Long Bao. The noodle bowl is the best. Tons of flavor and ingredients with the vermicelli noodles are just amazing. The popcorn chicken is delicious, nothing special. The shrimp tempura is delicious and has an amazing crunch. The Xiao Long Bao is more of a soup dumpling dim sum style. It was pretty delicious, but it didn't taste really fresh like you'd get from an actual dim sum restaurant. The staff are friendly and fast. Lots of tables to dine at. Parking lot is a bit small, but you can park on the other side of the buildings where there are more parking.

We rolled in as a group of three with split preferences -- two hot pot fans and one BBQ fan -- and ordering both kept everyone satisfied and let us enjoy the best of both sides. The selection is the highlight. Tons of appetizers and meats, and they were all amazing: fresh, varied, and fun to cook and customize at the table. Fair warning though - take it easy, because there's a ton of food and it's easy to overdo it early. Pacing yourself is the move. Everything was delicious and the staff were genuinely nice, which made the interactive cook-it-yourself setup easy even on a first visit. Great spot for a group hangout. Solid 5/5. We'll be back!

They've added some new items like enoki mushrooms and other traditional Korean/japanese items to the hotpot bar which was really nice. Making our own sauce is always fun too.

I've been wanting to stop by the Oh My Gogi! food truck next time I was in Houston in the weekend,…read moresince I heard a bunch of great things about their food. I had no idea that they recently had a food truck in Northgate, so I decided to check them out. TASTE: During my visit, I decided to opt for their Bulgogi Beef Fries, which I typically get at Asian fusion food trucks as a benchmark and since you technically can't go wrong with bulgogi beef fries in general. I had my share of these kind of fries from the west coast to those in Austin and Houston, so I had a good range of good and bad fries. I really liked these fries though, since they were my style. The fries were nicely firm but weren't oily. The bulgogi also had a nice texture and wasn't chewy like what I find at places with similar dishes. It also had the complete works like your spicy mayo and garnishes. One thing that I did notice about the fries was that it was nicely seasoned with some sort of spicy seasoning (?), which I don't recall seeing often in similar fries from other places. Long story short, great tasty bulgogi beef fries. SERVICE: It's a food truck in a food truck park, but the guy taking my order seemed cool. VALUE: Reasonably priced at around $8 and about the same as the other Asian fusion places that you find in the bigger cities and at restaurants in town with similar dishes like Nam Cafe. If this were open for lunch or more weekday evenings, I would have no qualms in making this a frequent spot. ATMOSPHERE: I visited around midnight for a late snack break on a Saturday night in the summer, but it was unfortunately surprisingly empty. But since it was spacious and well-lit with music blaring on the speakers, I think it would make a great atmosphere for a group of friends to eat and hang out. VERDICT: Overall, strong recommend from me. I want to go back to try their other foods. Only bummer is that they are only open on weekend evenings from Thursday to Saturday, so you have to catch them at the right time. Glad they have a food truck like this here in town, because I typically only get this taste when I head to the major cities in the state.

Service and spot were great, but the actual food was kind of disappointing unfortunately :(…read moreexpected more as a lover of korean food but will try again another day
