When we were first helped by the workers, they seemed to have an attitude. Tried to order a "Like It" but was told they were out cups for it, was offered to pay for the bigger cups, which could have easily held the "Like It" size scoop. Makes no sense. I wish Cold Stone had a few more vegan ice cream options, but I'm certainly not complaining of their chocolate almondmilk flavor! My husband, a big chocolate *and* almond milk fan, undoubtedly loved it. We got the "don't cry over spilled silk" in size "like it", which included peanut butter, banana, and crushed roasted almonds. I didn't get much patience when I was trying to pick from the 20+ options. The lady also sounded frustrated when I inquired about the upcharges, me and my boyfriend were first timers. Beware! I ordered a cake for a birthday, when I picked up the cake I didn't check it out but when I got home and took it out of the box I was shocked. I couldn't believe they would send out a cake so poorly done. I called and sent pics several times, they said they would refund, called several and I never got a refund. Note: I visited this location twice over about one week and had the same experiences described below both times with different people working so I don't think this is a one time thing. I love Cold Stone Creamery in general, just not this one. Ice cream is great as expected but the serving size at this location is very small compared to every other CSC I've ever been to. I realize this shouldn't be an issue since who needs a large amount of ice cream anyway, but I've been to many CSC throughout the Midwest and when I order a love it I expect a love it size, not what EVERY other CSC I've ever been to calls their like it size. I just feel kind of ripped off. Also, every table in the store was filthy. When I visited both times the store wasn't that busy. Granted they may have just gotten over a rush, but I don't think so because I sat at a dirty table to eat and never saw a worker come out and clean even though there was opportunity. I will go back to this location again since it's the only CSC in College Station, but if another one opens nearby, I'm taking my business there. 2 stars only because the ice cream is so good. read more

You ice cream fanatics ingest some weird stuff. Imagine my surprise, then, when I visit Cold Stone and discover the wonders of ordering a "half and half." Me, the guy who can barely finish one ice cream flavor, is imagining clever concoctions made from multiple flavors and toppings. I finally settled on the idea of a chocolate mint pie, combining the obvious flavors of chocolate and mint with a cinnamon graham cracker pie crust crumbled in to the whole thing. It was fantastic. Even the smallest size was more than enough to sate me, and I garnered no small amount of satisfaction from watching my server fashion a creamy ball of dairy product on the very frozen stone from which the place inherits its name. When he spun my ice cream in the air and expertly caught it in my cup, I wanted to ask him to teach me all of his ice cream secrets. I was already contemplating letting him ride around in a satchel on my back while I wandered some swamp planet. Alas! This was not to be. Mostly because it was just logistically impossible. 3 friends and I arrived to cold stone to try it for our first time. We entered the ice cream place and didn't realize we were about to receive the rudest service!! We were the only customers in the stores while we were receiving their service. The lady helped out the first friend properly but when it came to my other friends and me.. it was horrible. There were 2 ladies and one of them was helping friend#1 while the other was helping us out. She didn't even ask me if I WANTED a cone # unbelievable. Then with my friend #2 actually went well surprisingly. With friend #3 when it came to asking her if she wanted a cone. Worker#1 asked Worker#2, "did that girl want a cone?" Worker#2 looks at friend#3 and doesn't even bother to ask her if she wanted a cone. Friend#3 speaks up and tells her "can I please get a cone?" The worker has the audacity to tell my friend "YOU NEED TO SPEAK UP" and I was on the other side of the store and could hear her perfect. You honestly can never go wrong with ice cream. Cold stone is really great because you can get whatever you want added right into your diet destroying treats! It's a pretty nice vibe and the workers are really sweet and will recommend what they like the most and let you know if the combos you're going for are gonna treasures or straight trash. In general, Cold Stone is an ice cream parlor whose prices are a little higher than your average confectionary or what have you. That being said, I've absolutely never been disappointed with anything I've gotten there, having had several different ice cream flavors, toppings, one of their cakes and some of their cupcakes in the few locations I've visited. The pre-made creations they offer on their menu are very creative and always offer the perfect blend of flavor. Your options as far as toppings and cones vary widely, and I can't think of a time when I've gone and thought, "If only they had ______...." Well, with the exception of a really good dark chocolate mint ice cream they had during the winter that disappeared off the scene much too quickly. The attributes of the specific College Station location is what knocks this down from five stars to four. There are a few employees who are less-than-friendly and pretty unenthusiastic compared to those at other locations I've visited. I personally don't mind too much because it must be a pain, but where other locations have their employees sing a little song when you tip them, the College Station location has never done anything of that sort. So if you're looking for a novel little experience, you probably won't get it from here. All in all, the price and the lack of atmosphere are the only problems anyone could ever have with this place. That, or that they have diabetes and shouldn't overdose on this kind of stuff. read more

Walked in and place was decently busy -- was with a group of nine people, and there was a few people in line ahead of us. Two girls were working and literally disappeared for 20 minutes. Maybe they needed to freshen up, maybe they wanted to watch Tiger's third round highlights from The Players -- who knows. We left and went to Dairy Queen right down the street. There were two girls working and they seemed to be in rush, so I asked "do you close soon", she replied with "yep". So I asked what time and she said "midnight." I looked at my phone... It was 10:30 pm .... Couldn't sit down because the tables were filthy and trash was everywhere. HIGHLY DISSATISFIED WITH THIS LOCATION. Have been coming here for 3-4 years with my family. Always get the same thing - a premade quart of peanut butter cup perfection. It's cheaper by about a dollar and a half because it is premade versus made in house. They usually get the pricing wrong and click the more expensive one, which is fine once I point out it is the wrong price and they correct it. However, today my family came in and we were about to spend almost 30 dollars on ice cream just to get disparaged by an employee. After pointing out she incorrectly charged me, she proceeded to ask for help from another employee, saying that "this price is too expensive for them". They also have established recipes to choose from if you can't decide. She gave us a very generous serving. We ordered the cinnamon flavored ice cream- absolutely delicious and strongly flavored. Although, the consistency was very soft, almost melty. Which made it difficult to enjoy because we felt like we had to eat it really fast before it turned into liquid. I went and ordered a mint mint chocolate chocolate chip, which had mint chocolate chip ice cream (obviously), but when I got my ice cream there was no mint chocolate ice cream.
