Bebe was very professional, and she paid special attention to areas that was causing me a lot of discomfort and pain. She actually worked out a pulled muscle that I had off and on for two months! I have not taken good care of my body. Sure I eat pretty well and I am fairly active, but I have done little self care or given attention to maintenance of my muscles. Because of all of this, I live with muscle pain on a daily basis and it can be intense. I have been to multiple massage therapists over the years when things have gotten really bad, and while they helped some, I always felt like I was just making a small dent in a bigger problem. Enter Bebe and her team at Somar. Firstly, Bebe is strong. Like super strong. She actually is physically capable of doing a true deep tissue massage. This is huge as many therapists are not capable of applying enough pressure to actually make a lasting difference. Secondly, she comes up with a plan for you. This is not a "come 16 times and we will make you right" plan. She is not trying to make you spend all of your money. She wants to to spend the correct amount and not a penny more. Lastly, her plan is holistic. I don't mean incense and meditation (although I am guessing she would be good with that). She gave me resources on stretching and referred me to other methods and practitioners in the area that could lend a hand in my journey towards wellness. Bebe has legitimately been good for my life. If you have been let down by other massage therapists with good intentions, I highly encourage you to try out Somar. It's worth the trip, even if you don't live close to Grapevine. read more

Severely disappointed with how unorganized and unprofessional this establishment is. I had chose this location based on the glowing reviews. My fiancé and I had a couple's massage booked for yesterday early in the afternoon, which was confirmed by Bebe. We had arrived a few minutes early to the appointment only for the door to be locked and a "be right back" sign on the door. I had been in direct contact with Bebe, and once our reserved time had come and gone, I texted and called her to see what was going on. She texts me 10 minutes after our reserved time stating she was in the establishment (she had locked the door even though there were other clients) and that two of the staff members called in sick that day, and that she was doing all the massages and running very behind. She stated she had forgot to mention anything to us about this. I understand that she may have been in a bind, but this is information I am sure she had well in advance despite the short notice from the staff. Her remedy for the situation was for us to come much later in the day and have each of us done one at a time, alternating with a 50 minute biomat/ sauna treatment. We had scheduled the earlier time because that was the only availability for us, and the whole point of the couple's massage was to do it together. I had also ordered the 80 minute couple's massage (which she kept on saying was just an hour). She tried to call me to confirm what I wanted to do and left a voicemail saying that she had 15 minutes to talk before the next client was coming in, and once I tried to call within that 15 minutes, it went straight to voicemail. This establishment needs to be better ran, and there is absolutely no excuse with how poor her response was regarding this situation. Edited to Add: I have never experience this amount of unprofessionalism in my life. Immediately upon writing the review, the owner contacts me trying to find a loophole to get the review deleted. She states that since she forgot to send the invoice to me even though there is text proof that she gave me a date and time and that she would "email the invoice shortly", that I in fact did not have an appointment (which did not come up in our interaction at all until this review was written). This appointment was booked over a week in advance, and she told me over the phone that she would give the time slots available so being put on the waiting list she claims we were on for our reservation makes no sense. When we talked on the phone, she said multiple people had booked appointments for Valentine's week and that she was sending their invoices first and I was "next on the wait list" to get my invoice after she sent theirs. I made sure to book the appointment when there was availability over a week later and gave all the information needed for her to send the invoice. If she had that time booked like she said, I would expect her to try to reach out to reschedule at some point, but that never happened. Why would we be on a wait list up until the day of the appointment without any attempt on the business to reschedule or reach out? Instead of owning up to her mistake, she is now trying to put the blame on us to save face. Absolutely appalled at the response, and she definitely needs to reflect on how she approaches mishaps in the future. read more

I've had massages at luxury spas all over the country - and the massage I had today was one of the best, if not THE best. Let's be honest, when you are calling to book a massage is usually because you want one right away, and Bebe was able to fit me in within 15 minutes. Lisa gave me an 80 Swedish massage but it was really a fusion of Swedish and Thai and she incorporated some hot stones because my neck and back were so tense. The room was the perfect temperature, the bed is insanely comfortable and soft, and the music was perfect. Our experience is certainly an outlier, and I get that, but I thought it would be worth sharing here. This is exactly what happened: I bought my wife a gift card for Mother's Day. When she called to book an appointment, she was told that they only book groups on weekends and individuals during normal business hours on weekdays. But maaaybe they could get her in after hours. She said that since this didn't seem to fit her schedule and wasn't like other spas she has been to, maybe she should just get a refund. Bebe told her she was being rude and insisted on booking her for an appointment while pressuring her to come in at 4 or 4:30 ... finally they settled on 5:30. "Now, how much would you like to tip?" she asked. My wife indicated that she would like to tip after the service. Again, Bebe told her she was being rude and that it was customary to tip 20 percent via Paypal or Venmo in advance. No cash! My wife politely refused. Day before the appointment, my wife calls to follow up on the gift certificate since she was told she would receive a text she could respond to in order to apply that to her appointment. She was told that they are too busy to handle those types of things until the day of her appointment -- so please just wait for the confirmation text and then email a picture of the email that had the gift certificate order number on it. Super professional! So the day of the appointment comes and they cancel. They say they have other days and times available, during normal business hours. My wife says those won't work for her, so she asks to book further out. She's told they don't book out more than a week in advance. My wife scoffed at this, which apparently offended the woman on the phone, who hung up on her. Bebe called me and offered me a refund, but not before lecturing me on how rude my wife is and telling me "we don't want her energy in our spa." All I wanted was a relaxing message from my hardworking wife, but instead, she said she felt like she was asking someone for a favor -- one they really didn't want to provide. I am sure they are very good at the services they provide. But I might suggest updating this line from their website: "We focus on YOU and your de-stress needs. At SOMAR you will immediately feel the warmth, caring and dedication of our experienced team." That was not our experience. read more

Relaxed, calm and happy - my state of being when I left!! Less than one month after I had my baby, I went to Bebe for a postpartum massage. Delivery, lack of sleep, hormones and muscle pain are realities for many postpartum mommies, including myself. It was great to find someone that has training and help during this stage.
