She was attentive to my needs, listening to my description and made sure to check in with me throughout the appt. I went in to have my hair done for my granddaughters wedding, when I got there my daughter fixed my hair. A bunch of young girls out of school at this salon, I have short curly hair and they acted they didn't know what to do. charged me $60. No shampoo, no haircut, not even a good job, what a ripoff. I have really debated about posting this review. However, this was one of the worst cuts I have ever had. I really did my research and read all the reviews, I was excited to find a local place that had recently switched management and done a full renovation. It was the new owner who cut my hair. I feel like I communicated exactly what I wanted...I love my thick hair, 90s layers, that would create a lot of volume. I even had inspiration pictures for her to look at. She seemed really confident and seemed to know exactly what I wanted. I had my hair washed and once she started cutting it I could barely keep my eyes open. She told me it was fine and to just relax. When she was done and I opened my eyes to say I was shocked is an understatement...there on the floor was about half of my hair. It was thinned out to the extreme with almost minimal layers. She then proceeded to flat ironed it (we had even talked about how I always curl it and never wear it straight) AND then charged me extra for this! I couldn't even speak, at this point half of my hair was in the floor and nothing could be done. I just paid and left the salon. read more

If I could give zero Stars I would . Tanya messed my hair up so bad I have chunks out of my hair as she did not do with my hairdresser said to do from South Dakota which was sent to me in a text message and specific . I discussed everything with Tanya and she decided not to do what my hair stylist had been doing for 15 years . Instead she was rubbing the bleach all the way down to the ends of my hair which caused huge chunks to fall out of my hair she also did not use the color for the dark in my hair and decided to do her own thing and now I have muddy ugly hair . On top of that the unbelievable cut has me questioning if she's ever even been to school for hair . I have and I tell you what I have never ever in my life had a haircut like this there is no Rhyme or Reason to it whatsoever and I'm missing half my hair . The salon owner Kayla offered to fix it put extensions in dye it the way it's supposed to be done. And now she is refusing to do so because I'm upset about how long it's taking to get this accomplished . So instead of fixing my hair with extensions which is the only way it can be done and dying it the color it's supposed to be she has chosen to refund my money and cut off all Communications . I think it should be Tanya and Kayla paying to fix my hair with another salon I will be reporting them to the Board of Cosmetology in Arizona and also contacting an attorney . Stay away from these two people in this salon . I've also attached pictures of what my hair looks like when it's done properly read more

I should have given a review a year earlier and it would have been 4 stars - but the last time I was there was shortly after the covid restrictions were lifted. Previous visits for a very short hair cut (over the ears & equally short in the back) were done by Robin (had 5-6 visits prior). Price $22...after they opened again after covid, the price was $33. I had no notice until I sat at her chair and saw the sign...saying the price was $33...a 50% increase! Amazing. I searched around Apache Junction for a replacement & found someone who now does my cuts for $20 and they are just what I want & need. Don't be so greedy. read more

I have had my hair cut, a few times, when I am in Apache Junction during the winter. I needed to find a place which could do a good job cutting fine, thin hair. Every mistake shows up on my stick straight hair. Robin suggested, last year, to get a razor cut. I hesitated but I was willing to take a chance. So glad she suggested it. Looks great and very easy to take care of. Went back this year and had her cut it that way again. Now I have to wait another year before I can get this really good cut. Barbara gave me a perm and a hair cut that was perfect. She listened to what I wanted and made suggestions along the way. I forgot to take a picture but my long hair turned out exactly how I wanted it. In addition to the great hair cut, they are keeping the salon very clean. They installed barriers between each station and the receptionist is constantly cleaning. You are required to wear a mask along with the stylist who are wearing masks. I found this place after 5 winters here as a snowbird and I'm so happy. I had Sherry cut my hair and she did a razor cut. I have a nice body wave and slight curl so a good cut is a great way to make my life simple while here in Arizona. The gal that shampooed my hair was pleasant and Sherry was great. I went in on Saturday for my appointment with Kayla. Keep in mind that I haven't been to a salon since pre-Covid so my hair has grown really long and was completely natural. Sherry's salon, actually owned by Joy now, is a fantastic little spot. It's clean and everyone was super nice. I talked with Kayla about the gray that has started to appear on my crown area and the fact that I don't want to commit to going to the salon every few weeks to have my hair redone. We decided that baby lights on top with a color fade on the ends (I believe that's what it was called) would be the best option for me. She also trimmed my hair and did some trimming around my face so it would frame better. I can't express how happy I am with the outcome! Kayla is awesome and did such a fantastic job! I will definitely be returning to this salon!! I have naturally wavy/curly hair and wear it natural some days and blow it out on others. While i was there i had an amazing time, talking with the stylist and listening to music, but when we were putting in the color, they waited for it all to dry to notice that it was all over my forehead and neck, so when it all dried it stained my neck and forehead, then they lightly tried to remove it. I don't recommend this place because while they seem nice, they will leave your neck dyed then tell you to spend more money on hair dye removal that doesnt even say itll get it all off. read more

I got extensions at a different hair salon and had to buy a hair topper to cover up the mess after I had to have them cut out. Joy cut off the matted extensions, trimmed what little hair I had left to help it grow out, and then cut and colored my hair topper to match my bangs so I could continue styling my hair. When Joy got done with me you wouldn't even know I had a hair topper on. My coworkers knew I had to have the extensions cut out and were shocked at how well Joy colored then blended my own hair with it. They told me I looked fabulous. I felt so awful when I had to have my extensions cut out and so beautiful when Joy was done with me. Thank you Joy! read more
