Therefore, I thought the gloss service included a blowout or a haircut. I was explained that they're actually 2 different charges afterwards, and the bill came to over $114. I think the website is very misleading and the services descriptions should be more clearly stated to avoid any confusion. My hair turned out really well but I don't think it was worth the amount paid.

Established in an affluent suburb of Dallas in 2004 and catering to those who can afford a pricey haircut worth every penny, it's been a perfect addition to the North Brentwood area! Even their basic haircut includes a shampoo and one free water, soda, or beer. The Benchmark cut is my preference, adding a face and scalp massage, a second free drink, a hot towel, and more! Perhaps the best part was the paraffin wax hand dip that makes hands feel incredibly smooth, especially during the winter when they're dry and cracked. The Boardroom even has a pool table, and I'm pretty sure I could have stayed to play a round if I had asked. Although maybe that's just a prop? But aside from all the perks and the upscale atmosphere, here's the bottom line. Do they have employees who can cut a great head of hair, like noticeably better than other salons? Natalie always made it look great but because it was so fine, I had to keep it short. Keeping it short made it look fuller but I was still always very insecure about my hair and I rarely ever wore it down. I always wanted long hair for as long as I can remember but I was never able to have it. I finally accepted that I was never going to have it but I still wanted it. Natalie suggested that I try tape in extensions. I didn't think they would work for me because I thought my hair was too fine and wouldn't hold them. I finally decided to try them in February and it was the best thing I ever did. Now, my hair looks amazing. I finally have that long hair I always wanted. My lessons learned: blowouts have gotten EXPENSIVE, with quality at blow dry bars really varying based on who you get. Salons will always beat out a blow dry bar when I want a relaxing experience and fresh, perfectly styled hair that lasts a few days, and Oxana salon has quickly become one of my favorites for a high quality-to-value blowout. I've been a handful of times with their level 1 stylists (used to be $45, now $54 for a blowout) and their assistants (still $36 -- truly a wild price for the quality!), and the assistant blowouts here are honestly some of my favorite blowouts I've gotten in town. My personal favorite has been Justine. Incredible pressure when she massages your scalp and washes your hair, and a clean, classic style that lasts for multiple days even in this Nashville summer heat. Bonus: she actually styled my bangs correctly, which is a rarity. Callie also did a fantastic job when I came in last-minute for a birthday dinner recently, and that blowout has held up for 4 days despite the insane heat wave we've been having. The salon uses high-quality Oribe products (a personal fave), has easy parking right next to the venue, and is easy to book online in advance. Sometimes - when luck is in my side - I can even snag a same-day appointment! I'm always reluctant to spill my secrets lest my favorite spots become unbookable, but Justine and Callie are genuinely the most talented at their level I've been to in Nashville and are deserving of the recognition!
