As a studio, the place is very clean. The staff always welcomes you when you walk in the door. As a workout, I highly recommend Solidcore! I am a physical therapist and love the attention to detail and adjustments the team at solidcore make during class. They pay attention to how you are performing each exercise and they are specific when giving instructions. In particular, they utilize their knowledge of anatomy and are able to use this to inform each movement on the mega-reformer. I have taken 8 classes in 8 weeks to date and find myself stronger in many ways that I wasn't expecting! For example, my running is faster and more powerful through each step, my swimming is faster, and I feel my core muscles turn on automatically when I go to do things like sit up in bed, lift heavy loads like groceries and boxes and toys. Not only that, my posture has improved and I find myself sitting upright naturally without having to be conscious about it. This is a class that you walk out of feeling proud and confident! Do not commit to any memberships at this location. Not only has this locatiton oversold memberships, they dont honor their own policies and their booking system has major glitches. You will lose classes that you've paid for and Gayle will charge you twice even after admitting the system is faulty. I have reached to corporate to help resolve the issue, they ignored me! I now to dispute multiple charges because this location is fraudulent and dishonest. You're better off going somewhere else - if you buy the membership it wont help you get a class ahead of time because even then it's ALL booked! total scam! read more

I just took my first solidcore class a couple weeks ago, and I'm absolutely obsessed. I tried lagree a few months ago when I was visiting a different state and I loved it, so I've been wanting to try out this place too. I've tried so many fitness classes in the past (I currently have pilates and cycle memberships), but this is by FAR the most challenging class I've ever taken. It literally works out every part of your body and gives you an insane burn that you'll be feeling over the next couple of days. Call me crazy, but I love feeling sore after a workout because I know my muscles are getting stronger. They also blast music the entire time, which makes the workout even more fun. Intense lots of abs and my legs are killing!! Was invited to try out solidcore. Classes will need to be reserved because they only have a limited amounts of machines! Brand new place clean warm inviting staff. This is a combo of yoga pilates on steroids.. lots of balancing simple movements that are maximized and engaged with the moving piece. Cables that add resistance mirrors everywhere to help maintain your form! We had the instructor lindsey who went over everything said as the class goes on it will make more sense She walks around throughout the class helps correct your form Dripping sweat muscles shaking all made this class feel like it last forever but very much worth it. First off I have to start by saying, I was super nervous and excited to try solidcore. I've seen advertisements on facebook and instagram and always wanted to try it but never took the plunge. I finally roped my work friends to try it out for me. There is a new client special you can purchase 2 classes for $39 dollars. This can be purchased on the mind body soul app. New clients: Must arrive 15 minutes early to class for a tutorial of the megaformer which is referred to as "Svetlana." This workout is done barefoot but one can perform using socks if need be with an increase risk of falling of slipping just FYI. There are cubbies to place your belongings and towels provided as well. You will SWEAT. The study ambiance is so trendy I love it. There is a front desk who will check you in and the instructor will give you a tour of the studio. There are no showers in this studio so just be aware you will leave sweaty if you are going to plans afterwards. Also, parking can be difficult due to being in the same complex as soul cycle, dry bar and the bar method so leave extra time for parking so you don't get turned away! Overall, I have never been challenged in a workout like solidcore. It works towards muscle failure and emphasizes on slow, slow movements. Being in control of a movement is shown by slowly, continuously being able to repeat a motion which solidcore targets. I have taken classes with meg, julie and sara and can say they are all awesome and motivating. I really enjoy how classes are small (no more than 10) and the instructor introduces herself to each client and uses our names throughout class. It adds a personal touch. It is a little difficult at first due to there is no visual instruction by an instructor throughout classes rather solely verbal. The instructor has you turn or position yourself near elite members who have taken 10+ classes which can be kind of hard if you're a visual learner. My only wish is that the classes were less expensive. after the 2 class intro, I purchased a 10 class new client class for $199. After this, it will be 10 class for $299. Students can stay at the 10 classes for $199. There are monthly classes as well but 4 classes a month runs you around $109 a month. read more

Such a disappointing experience for me. I signed up for the 6:05 class on a Sunday Morning. I got there at 6:06 & door was locked. They provide a code to get in, but the code didn't work. I called and left voicemails. No one called me back. The women I spoke to on the phone didn't believe that it didn't work for me. Such a rude experience! I will most likely not be going back. What an amazing and motivational workout! Solidcore uses a "megaformer" machine which allows your body to focus on working very specific muscles with slow, small movements. My abs hurt so much the next day so I know the class definitely worked! I signed up for the class using Class Pass. The instructor was so helpful in getting me setup my first class, and she taught me everything I needed to know about the class. The class takes place in a dark, mirrored room, with loud upbeat music playing and the instructor giving you motivational cues for your movements. I really felt like I was able to tune out the world and just focus on working my muscles. You can do the class barefoot or in sticky socks, and be sure to arrive early since the parking lot is small and can fill up quickly! I'm looking forward to taking future classes! read more

Have been waiting for a great megaformer class in NYC/Long Island and this is it! The instructors are always encouraging (pushing myself to my limits, but not aggressive to the point where I hated my life). I always walk out, sweaty and feel empowered. The first ten minutes are always a struggle but then the class goes by so quickly after that. The facility itself is big, lots of waiting areas and changing rooms; and the staff is wonderful. There's a first timer special so definitely check it out! Caution: be sure that you do get to class 10 minutes before your first time- I was late due to the parking situation (second caution if you're not familiar with the plaza- it gets PACKED on weekend AM classes since there's also SoulCycle + The Bar Method, so parking can be a pain so get there early) and was not allowed in since I had to be there for the first class instructions. read more

I found solidcore around this time last year, and I'm so happy to say that I've been going there ever since! The workout is amazing, challenging, and super fun. It has made me so much stronger in such a short amount of time, and I keep going back for more (about 4 times per week to be exact)! I did a class here last week and my body was sore for days after! In a great way though. Definitely one of the most intense workouts I'd ever done. It's like Pilates on steroids or with more movement. I feel like every muscle in my body is a little stronger now and I want to continue going back to gain and keep that strength . Using the machine can be a little confusing the first time, but the instructors will do a demo before the class begins if your a beginner. You're also required to remove your shoes and socks and they provide cubbies you can leave them in. I hear each instructor are amazing. Definitely try it out! I absolutely loved this class! I've never taken Pilates before so I was very intimidated by the megaformer before class. April was so bubbly and friendly and was super helpful showing me how to do the workout and how to correctly set up, while giving me words of encouragement throughout the class. Loved the dark lit room with the blue lighting, really set the mood and made me feel less intimidated! Her music was also incredible... a very club-esque, EDM/dance music mix! The studio itself is gorgeous, I loved the contemporary look with the blue and wood vibes. I have to say it is a little pricey but it's no more or less expensive than the next studio! I already feel how sore I am going to be tomorrow by working muscles I didn't know existed!! I feel that it'll take a few classes to really get the hang of it, but I absolutely loved it! read more

I love this place! It's a different kind of workout and it really gets you going and sore. The instructors are very personal and help you along the class especially if you are new. They also have a beginner class which they teach you each move step by step which is very helpful. They always hand out wipes at the end of the class to clean up their machines. read more

First time at [solidcore], and it was a great experience. From the getgo, the crew here at this location is welcoming and sweet. There are towels to use, access to deodorant, hairspray, hairties, bobby pins, and mints, changing rooms, bathrooms and nice water fountains. [solidcore] shares a building with a couple of clothing stores, what looked like a cafe (it was closed on Sunday when I went), a Barre studio, and Soulcycle. I was introduced to the machine at the start of class when Lindsey, the instructor, was showing us all the moves we would be doing for that day. She made it look effortless... not so in reality, as I soon found out. Having only dabbled in Pilates and never really used a reformer, this class was HARD. In a really good way, "my muscles are at the point of failure" way. This workout targets every part of the body and is great for guys and girls alike. Lindsey was a highlight-- she walked us through all the moves and also had a way of both pushing and encouraging the class. And she made sure at the start that she knew all our names. The cherry on top is how pet friendly the place is. Lindsey brought her adorable puppy who chilled outside in the changing/lounge area while we all worked out. I am obsessed with [solidcore]! I've gone to other studios such as barre and pilates, and nothing quite compares to the workout I get from [solidcore]. It's always challenging and always worth it. The coaches are amazing and remember you by name (love that). Though I am not much of a fun of workouts encompassing a reformer/machine, I had a great experience at [solidcore]. My sister and I signed up for free through ClassPass. The women were so welcoming and encouraging. Our instructor Kate made sure she demonstrated all of the moves and had correct form. She also didn't mind if we took breaks being that the workout was so tough. Being one of those anomalies that actually enjoys running long distances, especially outside, preferably in colder temperatures, I never really enjoyed any studio class I tried- spin, barre, yoga, even Pilates. I never felt like these workouts were worth the time or money since I enjoyed running, and would rather be doing that anyway. Then I tried [solidcore] and I instantly became addicted. It is, by far, the hardest workout you will every try, but is also the most rewarding. I completely transformed my body- have muscles popping up that I have never seen before and never knew I had. I am also running better than ever-faster, longer distances, and with less strain. The workout is only half of why I have been showing up 2-3x a week no matter what is going on. The Roslyn coaches and the community they have built is so incredible- they are supportive, caring and hilarious. Meagan, Sara, April, Juli, and Katie always show up with the best attitudes. They have a way of making you want to push yourself harder than you ever have and even laugh as you go through the slow, but very effective torture. Solidcore is a great workout! I have done other mega former classes, but this is my favorite! I love the the moves have simple names and instructor usually shows the moves before class! I have tried most of the instructors and they all are great all with different types of music. The only downfall is it is kind of expensive, so it's not something I can do super often. The studio is super clean with all amenities you would need except a shower. You will leave class drenched in sweat and sore in places you have never been sore. read more

This brand new place opened up and I am so incredibly glad I tried it. I have taken so many workout classes in my life and in terms of feeling the burn, a class at Solidcore delivers like no other. in 50 minutes, the workout completely burns out every muscle group with a huge focus on the entire core, glutes and legs.
