Unethical and Predatory Practices I visited his office for…read morewhat was a simple sinus infection. Dr. Tandon did not take the time to listen to my symptoms. Instead, he immediately attempted to perform an endoscopy without my consent and billed me over $1,000 for it. This was entirely unnecessary for a routine sinus infection. They also invoiced for 45-minute visit when it literally took 5 minutes I left the appointment with no prescription, just a book recommendation on Amazon. When I later messaged the office about worsening symptoms (yellow/brown mucus), I was told I had to schedule another visit--less than a week after my first appointment. Only after I said I would have raised the issue with my insurance did Dr. Tandon call me later in the day, saying he could not prescribe an antibiotic without a CT scan but he would have done an exception For reference, I ultimately resolved my infection with a $6 antibiotic prescribed elsewhere.

Then when I finally did see Dr. Sorin, he laughed at me when I told him I bought an ear wax removal kit but decided to wait to see him first. I told him my history of ear infections and vertigo, and he told me that I wasn't a child anymore. The way he talked to me and then treated me when being seen is unacceptable at any Dr.'s office! I should have gotten up and left. When he examined my nose he thrusted the scope up my nostril so far up and when I said it hurt he did not listen and take it out right away. I had to physically take it out of my nose myself. He apologized but it was too late. I will NEVER see this man again nor recommend him to anyone. Stay away and see a real professional. I did my research and found Dr. Kuhel, not only that, but, I consulted with a cousin of mine who is a professor of medicine at Emory University Medical School and asked him to do some research for me. He is a fairly quiet spoken gentleman, but knew from the very first visit and the symptoms, that I had Primary Hyperparathyroidism. He scheduled some tests and then shorty thereafter the surgery.
