Then when the virus became less of a threat, he started to take on so many patients that you couldn't get an appointment for two weeks minimum. I had been promised that if I had an emergency and much difficulty the doctor would definitely get me in ASAP. That was not a true statement and I was unable to get an appointment for approximately 2 to 3 weeks and by that time I had to go to another doctor. I was very disappointed in Dr. Soletic That he overbooked patients and did not take care of those that needed his immediate attention.

They wanted to charge me an extra $25 on top of my co pay to get a hearing test that I did not need and I refused. Then when I finally did see Dr. Sorin, he laughed at me when I told him I bought an ear wax removal kit but decided to wait to see him first. I told him my history of ear infections and vertigo, and he told me that I wasn't a child anymore. The way he talked to me and then treated me when being seen is unacceptable at any Dr.'s office! I should have gotten up and left. When he examined my nose he thrusted the scope up my nostril so far up and when I said it hurt he did not listen and take it out right away. I had to physically take it out of my nose myself. He apologized but it was too late. I will NEVER see this man again nor recommend him to anyone. Stay away and see a real professional. It was an upsetting experience.

It turns out I was confused about my insurance, which covers the evaluation but not the hearing aids, so I'll have to go elsewhere for those. We waited almost an hour after our appointment time, but it all made sense when we got to see the doctor. Dr. B patiently sat with my grandmother for around 2 and a half hours. She asked her a ton of questions about her hearing issues, current hearing aids, and general activity. She is also the only doctor that has ever spoken loudly and clearly enough for my grandmother to understand. She tested my grandmother's hearing in a soundproof booth, and explained in great detail what her issues are and what could be done about them. I should mention that my grandmother is also legally blind (which throws off a lot of medical professionals), but Dr. B taught her how to use her hearing aids by feel, which was amazing! My grandmother got new hearing aids, as well as a tester pair to use for a week while they were being built. We had some personal issues in the interim, so it took a while for us to pick up the new hearing aids, but Dr. B's office was super kind and flexible! We also got to try them for a few weeks at home before we had to pay for them, which we were able to do over the phone. Fair warning that the office is in the basement of an apartment building which is NOT handicap accessible. There is a ramp to get into the building, but there are two or three small steps to get to the office. The office itself is also small, but my grandmother's wheelchair just barely fit in. My grandmother's hearing is much better, and we are very happy with Forest Hills Audiology!
