This witch, Iris, who is supposedly the lead representative on the phone, was completely…read moreunprofessional and refused to help me obtain a refund. Two days ago, I booked a hotel in Hollywood, Florida, by mistake when I intended to book one in Hollywood, California. It was an honest mistake that has turned into an absolute nightmare. I contacted the company just two days after making the reservation, explained the situation, and requested a refund. I received absolutely no services, yet Iris refused to escalate the matter to a manager who could authorize a refund through Expedia. She claimed she was not authorized to transfer me to a manager or provide the assistance I needed. I spent the better part of an hour and a half on the phone dealing with this ridiculous situation. While I had an Expedia representative on a three-way call, Iris repeatedly insisted that Expedia could handle the issue. However, when the Expedia representative attempted to resolve the situation, Iris proceeded to criticize the agent, claiming they didn't know what they were talking about. She continued refusing to authorize the refund, insisting that company policy prohibited refunds, despite the fact that the issue could have been addressed through direct communication between the two parties. The entire experience was infuriating, dishonest, and completely unacceptable. I made an honest booking mistake, contacted the company promptly, and received no services whatsoever. Instead of demonstrating basic customer service or making a reasonable effort to resolve the issue, I was met with excuses, finger-pointing, and an unwillingness to help. This company should be ashamed of itself, and Iris should not have a job. If this is how this company runs their business, then they should be bankrupt and be investigated for fraud. Shame on all of you. I will be disputing this charge with my financial institution and leaving reviews on every platform available to warn others about my experience. This entire situation feels like a scam. Stay away from this company unless you want to risk losing your money while receiving absolutely nothing in return.

Its…read morehistoric Art Deco architecture, dramatic lobby, and beachfront setting created an immediate sense of place. On my first visit to Miami, I stopped in for a drink and was blown away; even without staying, the hotel felt like a true attraction and a classic expression of Miami. When a friend and I eventually stayed during the winter, we found what felt like an excellent rate. The room was relatively small, but large windows opened to fresh air, making the space much more enjoyable. The bathroom was thoughtfully designed with a gorgeous shower, and the beds were comfortable. After a few fairly wild nights out, it provided exactly the landing place we needed. We never spent meaningful time by the pool, but we walked through the lush grounds and took in the gardens, beachfront views, and broader landscape. The property felt glamorous and unmistakably Miami without becoming plastic or contrived. Its central South Beach location carried plenty of activity, which suited our trip perfectly. Travelers seeking a quieter beach experience may prefer another part of the coast, but for classic Miami energy, The Shore Club was a memorable place to stay. It is a true Miami landmark, and I look forward to seeing what the next chapter brings for this legendary property.

I was pleasantly surprised by my stay here! The staff were kind (Shout out to Anthony! He was fabulous) and accommodating, eager to answer questions and help with requests. The pricing was very reasonable per night, especially so close to everything in South Beach. The room was a good size and it was nice to have a separate vanity mirror outside of the bathroom so we could both get ready in the mornings. The room had a nice, large tv on the wall, which was great for when I'd come back for the night. The couple of cons: the elevator was a lil scary (it would shudder a bit when you stepped in), but there was a staircase that you could take as well. The pillows weren't super comfy, so if we were to come again, we'd likely BYOP haha. The valet takes a bit of time, around 20 mins to grab your car, but we just called ahead of time so it would be ready for when we needed to leave, which worked out fine. If you're looking for a budget friendly stay on South Beach, I'd def recommend The Kent. It was a good experience, and for the price, you can't beat it! Very walkable area around the hotel too, so you'll have plenty of access to food as well.

However, I was somewhat disappointed by the level of noise from the hallway and adjacent rooms, which affected the overall comfort. Additionally, the Wi-Fi was not functioning, preventing access to television or streaming services. The property presents more as a modest accommodation, somewhat reminiscent of a motel 8 but slightly elevated. It would be suitable for a brief stay of one or two nights, but may not meet expectations for a longer visit.

We were told we would not be able to check in until after the check in time we booked "at latest 4pm (per the website) but likely closer to 4:25pm." We requested a room clean on day 3 but did not receive service. On day 4, the room was cleaned however our room was as left unlocked for 6 hours with all of our personal belongings inside. Better yet, our keys did not work to get back into the room afterwards (completely locked out). But that wasn't the end...we got back (again had to get the keys fixed and told housekeeping was "informed" of the issue) and the TV was non functional. When asked about the TV getting fixed the only choice we had was another room. This "solution" was inexcusable after our room was left unlocked for six hours. Bottom line is that the noise level is not the issue, it's the customer service that is beyond lack luster. From an amenities standpoint, the shower does not register the appropriate temperature and if one were to be careless, they could burn themselves (photo attached).

We stayed in one of the smallest rooms, and while there wasn't a lot of space, we made due and felt at home for the night we were there. Plus you're in Miami Beach, how much time are you really spending in the room? There are quaint places to sit and relax all around the property. There is also a rooftop pool & bar. They offer the use of beach chairs & towels for free, and an umbrella, for a fee. We found this hotel centrally located to everything we wanted to see and do in Miami Beach for the day. We highly recommend this as a place to stay for your next Miami visit!

The bellhops were so sweet and helped us to our room. We had booked a king room and it was a corner unit, which was nice. However, the room was pretty small and the bed took up the majority of the space. The other odd thing is that the bathroom door (which was on a hinge system) was a little wonky and didn't close all the way (it closed like 90% of the way). The hotel itself is really beautifully decorated and I loved all the details from the wallpaper to the furniture. The rooftop area and pool were cute (though we didn't spend any real time up there). We did pop into the bamboo room which is a cute cocktail bar in the hotel and we had breakfast at the sunshine cafe both mornings, and the food and drinks were pretty solid. I'd come back here again for sure the next time I find myself in Miami.
