We met our guide, Steve, at "The Greek Joint Kitchen & Bar." We started our eating there with warm bread accompanied by seasoned dipping olive oil, tzatziki on cucumber, and Greek-style pork ribs with lemon roasted potatoes. Next was "My Favorite Spot," an Asian fusion eatery that sports custom food bowls. We were served a chicken bowl, with a tray of 8 sauces to chose from, a garlic shrimp, and a queso frito. Our third stop was at "ChileLimon" where we had meat tacos on the best corn tortillas. Along with the savory item we sipped margaritas and coconut lemonade (for the non-alcoholic drinkers). Then we headed to "Verocca Sweet & Salty House" where we had (salty) empanadas and alfajors (sweet sandwich cookies). I guess the empanadas are supposed to be salty (hence the name of the eatery), but they were too salty for me. Others in the group liked them. We all loved the (dulce de leche, guava, nut) sandwich cookies. Our final stop was "Chocolada," where we each chose one dessert and a cookie but took them home because we were too full to eat anymore. During the walk from place to place, Steve regaled us with some history about the city of Hollywood and pointed out a few interesting spots. It was definitely an enjoyable and memorable experience.

It's a good location- if you're looking to be in the heart of downtown Miami with nightlife & not too far of a drive to the beaches. The lobby had snacks to purchase and they do have a pool as well as a fitness room. The noise level was adequate during our stay nothing too loud. There was a washer and dryer in the room, which was extremely useful. Downside- No laundry detergent, no utensils in our kitchen. The halls were not in great shape. Carpet should be replaced to rid of the dirty stains & musty smells making your way to your room.

Terrible experience at Sentral Wynwood -- absolutely not worth it…read more Our two-night stay was a disaster. The AC wasn't working when we checked in around 5-6 PM, leaving us in an approximately 80° room all night. Staff promised to fix it or move us, but later claimed everyone had left for the evening, leaving us with no resolution until the following afternoon. When they finally offered us another room, they handed us key cards to a room that already had someone else's belongings inside. Giving guests access to a room containing another guest's personal property is a serious security and privacy failure. How can anyone trust that their belongings are safe when the hotel can't even manage room assignments and key-card access properly? On top of that, the elevators were broken all night and into the following morning, forcing me to climb three flights of stairs repeatedly with an injured ankle. The ice maker was broken, so I couldn't get ice for my ankle, and the bathtub drained so slowly that water accumulated while I showered. After all these failures, Francisco offered 50% off one night. I requested a full refund for the first night, considering we spent it in a room without functioning AC and were repeatedly denied a timely solution. My refund request was denied. Absolutely ridiculous. Expecting guests to pay for a night like that, after multiple service failures and a serious security concern, is unacceptable. This wasn't one minor inconvenience; it was a complete failure of basic hospitality, maintenance, and management accountability. I would not recommend Sentral Wynwood, and management should be ashamed of how this situation was handled.

On my first visit to Miami, I stopped in for a drink and was blown away; even without staying, the hotel felt like a true attraction and a classic expression of Miami. When a friend and I eventually stayed during the winter, we found what felt like an excellent rate. The room was relatively small, but large windows opened to fresh air, making the space much more enjoyable. The bathroom was thoughtfully designed with a gorgeous shower, and the beds were comfortable. After a few fairly wild nights out, it provided exactly the landing place we needed. We never spent meaningful time by the pool, but we walked through the lush grounds and took in the gardens, beachfront views, and broader landscape. The property felt glamorous and unmistakably Miami without becoming plastic or contrived. Its central South Beach location carried plenty of activity, which suited our trip perfectly. Travelers seeking a quieter beach experience may prefer another part of the coast, but for classic Miami energy, The Shore Club was a memorable place to stay. It is a true Miami landmark, and I look forward to seeing what the next chapter brings for this legendary property.
