They CANCELLED my reservation two hours before check-in!!! They didn't even have the courtesy to call me and let me know. They just sent an email with no explanation except a "maintenance emergency". NO compensation, no place to stay, no help whatsoever! The told me they apologize and I will see my money back in 7-10 days! No manager to talk to. Everything is sold out and now I have to start searching for a place to stay with my son for the week. HORRENDOUS business practice. STAY AWAY! Very dishonest and a huge hassle. Mislead by MAK when renting a unit in the Fontainblue resort. Elevators were not functioning and will not for many months as they are under renovation. This was not disclosed when we specifically asked after reading reviews. To make matters worse, management at MAK would not respond to us. We arrived at 1pm and waited til 6pm before the unit was ready. MAK was of no help and unprofessional. Expect 20 to 30 minute waits for an elevator at Tresor Tower. read more

We rented 2 rooms at Fontainebleau for four nights, and the level of noise and disruption was absolutely unacceptable. There were multiple instances of fistfighting next door, and the security response was inadequate. One night, someone attempted to enter our room at 3:30 AM, and afterward, they vomited outside our door and passed out, creating a nauseating smell that lingered. Additionally, our toilet was clogged for the entire duration of our stay, which added to our discomfort. Overall, I felt extremely unsafe at this hotel. I reached out to MAK for assistance, but they seemed indifferent to our concerns. We own rental property and would have handled this situation very differently. We asked for a refund for one night that we didn't stay at the hotel. We stayed 3 out of the 4 nights. We didn't request a 4 night refund but MAK refused a one night refund on a night we didn't stay. MAK told us that one of the incidents wasn't reported to the hotel which is a lie. They had to send carpet cleaners up to the 10th floor bc there was vomit everywhere. Specifically outside the 1013 door. The smell just lingered. The security is a joke at the hotel and the property shows it. It's worn down. Security should be removing these people from the hallways instead of denying that there is an issue in the first place. Either MAK doesn't want to recognize the issues or the hotel isn't logging calls correctly or at all. I would strongly advise against bringing children to this hotel. I cannot recommend Fontainebleau or MAK customer service. I didn't get a single night of restful sleep during our stay. The hallways transformed into nightclubs at 3 AM, filled with people screaming, fighting, and vomiting. This was my first experience at a hotel like this. read more

Cliff notes: - Bad management - Poor communication - Nice rooms Our experience with Mak Realty was a big disappointment. I am honestly confused as to how they have received so many positive reviews. While the booking process was fine and communication good. This was not the case once we arrived. The 1BR 2Bath suite was not until a few hours past check-in time and, while spacious and boasting a great view, was still dirty when we got the keys. Communication was difficult; they kept deflecting blame for any issue to the Fontainebleau and would avoid answering our calls. There was a leak in our room the first night and they took forever to answer us and change our room. Honestly it was such a bad experience that I would not recommend booking with them to my worst enemy. In the end, they did acknowledge and apologize for the bad service and said they would refund one night's stay. Two months later, no refund in sight. read more

MAK realty scammed me. They advertised a listing for a room that was completely different than the one provided. At check in we were told the room we booked was double booked and unavailable. We then missed a reservation we made a month in advance at carbone due to not having a room Available for us and our small children at check in. At almost 9 pm we were finally able to check in and our 3 year old was unfed and exhausted. Thr room was dirty there was a blood stain on the sheets. No pull out couch as advertised so we had to pay $60 a night for a cot for our son. We were then promised To have the cot, valet and a 5% refund for our inconvenience none of which were provided. We were given a bunch of excuses and lies. BEWARE of this company as they are a scam and awful to deal with! Mak confirmed my reservation would be in sorrento tower. Upon arrival we were told by the hotel that the room advertised was never the room that MAK had on the property. The room was double booked and we were given a dirty dated room in the tressor tower. Causing us to miss our dinner reservation which resulted in a $200 no show fee! Also they tried to charge us a $500 late checkout fee when we checked out 30 minutes prior to check out time as shown on a time stamped photo. We were lied to, promised a new dinner reservation with costs covered, 5% refund and no valet fee. None of these things were delivered. read more

From the beginning to the end, we loved our stay through Mak realty group! We had an ocean view/resort view room. It was spacious + accommodating for our family! We loved having a kitchen, washing machine, two full bathrooms and two patios. The Fontainebleau is an incredible space+ the service is top notch. When you book with Mak, you are in the tresor tower and it's incredible. This is in a different building (but everything is connected) than the actual hotel. I loved this because you're part of the action but your room is more luxurious and plentiful than what the hotel space offers! We got free spa passes to use daily. The amenities at the Fontainebleau are plentiful. When asked for a later checkout, they were kind to extend the stay a few hours which helped us out so much with a family! Can't recommend booking through Mak enough. We won't look elsewhere when visiting Miami! Thanks for making our trip awesome:) read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER We reserved a room at Fontainebleau for a family vacation after my husbands busy season of work. We arrived at the hotel directly from the airport around 245 and told check in was at 4. We did not get a room until 640pm, after returning to multiple desks and making many calls. Despite calling MAK 10 times or so, nobody was able to help us, nor could they explain what happened. After we finally heard from the hotel that the room was ready, it was another 15 min for MAK to communicate that it was ready. After one of my stops at the desk i was told previous guest was granted a late check out. How could they not have told us there was a late check out and let us sit for hours for a room?! If anyone had apologized and given us a heads up that it would be so long, we would have used locker rooms to change or gone out to dinner. We have a 2.5 year old toddler and were stuck with all of our luggage in a corner of the lobby after traveling all day to get there. MAK was quick to throw Fontainebleau under the bus, claiming that they don't care about customers like us. MAK was most concerned about denying responsibility, rather than caring about our experience. We got emails from them telling us to book via their concierge service- helicopter tours, childcare, whatever we wanted. Given they couldn't navigate getting us into a room we had paid in full for, I wouldn't trust them with any other tasks or responsibility. I would not recommend staying with them or at Fontainebleau and will return to previous hotel for this annual trip we take as a family. We missed the first afternoon/dinner reservation due to the room not being available until so late, but MAK was not willing to refund accordingly and instead bickered with me about what they were paying for only to find out later that the hotel paid for it!
