I'm aware of the new family ownership of the business and feel that we should support our local business. But I was overly disappointed after purchasing wood and being told that they can cut it after we had measurements of what we wanted to come back. I called before going to the store to make sure it was a good time and was told they don't cut wood!! Really we purchased a large amount and to be told they couldn't was a disappointment. Before moving to King City Ace in Salinas was my to go hardware store and guess what I called them and they said to bring them in and they would take care of it. And that's exactly what I did!! I will never purchase local again and especially when fair comes around they sure won't get our business!

Because I spoke to when I bought my second item from him. Did it go smoothly? No. I had to call back a couple of times and I didn't get returned phones calls. In the end though, I got the item I needed and I was able to fix my dishwasher. When you walk into this business it is like walking back into time. You don't see stores like this anymore. It's has motors and parts all over the store. If they don't have it, they can definitely get it for you. My fist order went as smooth as silk. Got my order in 1 day. My advice is be patient and appreciate this store. I have lived in the Monterey County area for over 30 years and there is not another store like this anywhere. I wish I would have found this place sooner.
