This is a quality tint shop. First, with a little research on the web, I learned that most Honda/Acura cars need to have felt installed in the weather strip of the car to prevent tints from scratching when opening/closing windows. Most shops I called had never heard of this and didn't offer to install it. As soon as I told these guys I had an Acura, they immediately told me about the felts and made available as an option. Good sign that they know what they're doing. Yes the place is hard to find, but keep your eyes open when you get near the address, there's a tiny sign at the end of the driveway. The waiting room is nice enough: TV, movies, wi-fi, etc. Told them I wanted the tint to be legal, which is 35% in MA. They factored in the glass already has a small tint from the factory, and applied a 45% film to give me a net of 35% final tint (factory tint+applied tint). The result came out awesome. The pieces are all precision cut, back window done in one piece (another sign of high quality). Took 1.5 hours, which is about 30 mins longer that normal but they had to install the felts, justifying the extra time. Final price came to 240 (180 tint + 60 felts). Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. Thrilled how good my car looks now. Highly recommend! read more

I had my brand new Honda Accord done there a few weeks ago. They spent time explaining the MA laws regarding the legality and consequences of the tinting. I spent more time deciding which percentage than it did for them to tint it !!! Overall a stand up job. Nice touch with the sticker over the power buttion to remind you not to put the window till it dries. Update: Now a piece of roofing hits my car during the wind storm and wrecked the back glass(not to mention a lot of scratches in the paint). Called and was setup for the following Saturday with no problem. Very accomodating business with the customer service of 100 out of 100. read more

Cannot recommend this place enough!!! One of the best tinting place in Greater Boston area. They are professional all around. They do exotic cars and treat every car like it is their own. They use high grade tint film and have multiple options to choose from. The best part about it is that the tint is cut out by the machine to fit perfect and the install takes about 45 minutes for the whole car. I get all of my vehicles done here and recommend all of my friends to go here. I was looking around yelp for a reputable place to get my two front windows tinted on my CRV when I came across Solar Solutions. Now I understand why they have NO bad reviews! Made an appointment for 3:30 yesterday with Danielle (owner?). I got stuck in traffic and called saying I was going to be late, she said no problem. Once I arrived they took my car in immediately , and I sat in the air conditioned waiting area where there was a flat screen tv and some magazines. I chatted with Danielle while I waited. She was very friendly, as was the guy who installed the tint. It took about 25 mins and the car was all set! The tint job was perfect. No air bubbles or any sort of imperfections. And to top it off, it only cost me $80 for the front windows. BARGAIN. I would recommend this place in a heart beat and will be coming back in the future whenever I need a car tinted. A++ read more

I was looking to get the front two windows on my SUV tinted and came across all of the great reviews on Solar Solutions. I've gotten my previous two cars tinted at the same place on the South Shore when I lived down there so I was tentative to switch but I don't have time to go down there due to my hectic schedule. I called them to make an appointment and they were very accomodating. I got an appointment at the time I wanted, on the day I wanted. They quoted me $80 for my front two windows as well as the two tiny windows above my dash. (Very fair pricing) They told me it would be about 45 minutes to complete. I showed up, it took 45 minutes while I waited, and cost $80. No complaints there. I waited 5 days before writing this message to make sure there weren't any issues which there were none. Great place, nice people, and very efficient. As everyone said, it is a little tough to find. Very small sign with an arrow and if you aren't paying attention you will go by it. read more

Hate to be the first one to rate so low but it is well deserved. Today 9/8/12, I went to Solar Solutions to get my car tinted. I made an appointment prior to going about 2 weeks ago, I emailed and was CONFIRMED and BOOKED for the first Saturday they had available and that was 9/8/12. I show up and they tell me I wasn't booked?? I then take my phone out and show the e-mails that confirmed my appointment. So instead of fixing the problem I was told the only next available time was at 2:30. They wanted me to wait around for 4 1/2 hours plus the time to tint the car when I was CONFIRMED for the appointment at 10. They said there next appointment available was on a Friday, sorry I'm not driving all the way back for YOUR MISTAKE! I had to drive an hour to get there and an hour back burning about a qtr of a tank. Im extremely disappointed after hearing a lot of good things from this place. Its to bad they didn't even care to fix the problem. Now I have to find another place. Went to Solar Solutions after seeing two co workers get their windows tinted there. I called to schedule an appointment and the earliest opening was two weeks out but it was well worth the wait. I arrived and waited in a side room on a comfortable couch and watched the first 30 minutes of The Town on DVD while they put the tints on my windows. Had my tints done at this location. Scheduled no problem. Staff was friendly. I asked for 35% film to be put onto my windows. Lady told me I already have a slight tint of 10-15% so she would have to put a lighter shade on. This part is not true by the way, I checked with my dealership. They also never used a tint reader to check if it was factory tinted. They ended up putting a 45% film on my windows without my consent. I addressed the issue a day after and they said they could fix it BUT I had to pay them for another tint job plus extra cost for removing the existing tint. This also happened to my friend. I wouldn't trust these guys, they are putting on lighter tints to probably save money on their end. read more

Made an appointment to bring my 2010 C300 in on a Saturday morning to have all side and rear windows tinted at 35% and could not be happier with the quality of work and the overall experience. They were able to do all windows in under and hour while I waited and read through some magazines. When they had finished they put some tape over all the window buttons in the car as a reminder to not roll the windows down for 3-5 days (which has definitely helped me remember). They also provide a life long warranty on the tint, which is very reassuring. Plus, you can't beat the price, only $180 to have all the sides and the rear. I was reading some reviews talking about it was difficult to find the place, you really can't miss it, it's directly next to the stop sign on south road.
