He was courteous, professional, explained his diagnostic process, and had our heat pump repaired in no time. Based on this experience, I'll definitely use them again. Overall, I was very pleased with their prompt response, friendly service and reasonable rates.

Knowing that they were an established company I contracted with them to move the electric panel…read more This was an involved job and was surprised that they allotted only one day to the job. Towards the end of the first day the boss showed up to enquire as to why they were not finished. The lead electrician throw us under the bus claiming we interfered. If asking them to hook up an existing circuit that had somehow became disconnected prior ownership and to replace the hot water heater service line with the proper gauge line (which we provided), then I supposed we did interfere. We also worked in close proximity to them doing other needed work. I guess he needed his space. The second day we hardly spoke nor worked anywhere near them and still they pushed to finish the job. The boss showed up and told them they would be finished that day because he had promised another customer they would be there the next day. Electrical work isn't something that should be rushed. The lead, we could tell, was under stress and pressure to get the job completed. They never mapped nor tested the circuits to assure they were correct because they couldn't work pass quitting time. Much to my surprise I later found a hot neutral! I fixed that myself rather then call them back. I see their trucks around the area often and my blood pressure rises when I do!

We hired First Response Chimney for several big jobs on our 1901 farmhouse and guest cottage, and I…read morecan't recommend them highly enough. The main project was installing a new Blaze King wood stove, including a new chimney crown and relining the chimney with an insulated stainless steel liner. They also repointed and repaired the cottage chimney, relined it for a woodstove, and repointed the main house chimney. With a wood stove or fireplace, the peace of mind is everything. I never had a single doubt that the work was done safely and to code, and that's worth a lot when it's your home on the line. From start to finish they were extremely professional, reliable, and clearly knew exactly what they were doing. They also went above and beyond on the logistics. The cottage work was tricky to schedule because we had Airbnb guests booked that we couldn't cancel, and they worked around our calendar completely. They even cleaned up mid-job so the space was guest-ready at check-in. At one point the cleaners they'd lined up bailed, and the owner, William, himself drove out on a Saturday morning to handle it personally and did an incredibly thorough job. The repointing deserves special mention. A previous owner had carelessly patched the historic chimney with Portland cement, which is the wrong material for an old home. First Response ground it all out and redid it in lime mortar, matching the original and restoring it the period-appropriate way. It looks like it should- like it was never touched. And they fully cleaned up after every job.
