***** UPDATE May 24, 2023 ***** There's been many bumps along the way and to be honest, unless you have lots of patience and time on your hands, go elsewhere. I needed extra Solar panels and that's why I contacted Home Pro Solutions (they are partners with this company). Everything was installed quickly because I called the office 2X a week to make sure my project was moving along properly. If I didn't call, I wouldn't have Solar as of today. The communication is lacking in a big way, the excuses as to why things aren't moving along are many, and to have failed the final inspection 2X is very frustrating. Why isn't someone reviewing the plans and making sure everything is going to pass? It's been over 2 months since my install and I've yet to have my final inspection complete due to it not passing. O yea, and if I don't call or email, I would wait even longer. Don't take the NEM3 crisis as an excuse. I think more employees are needed or less projects should be accepted. PS- 5 of my family members purchased Solar from this company and we've all endured the same LACK OF communication issues and have had to check in regarding our project to make things move along

    Recent lost food

Signed contract 2/23. Still not done. Trashed my garden sprinklers, refuse to repair. left trash and foot sized cement paddies on my lawn. Piping mounted on out side of house sagged and left exposed wire.Demanded payment payment one month prior to hook up to PG&E. Two weeks ago disconnected sub panel lost $300 of food. I've called and called; no time frame of if or when they will connect my sub panel. For get getting any help how to receive your tax credit. I paid 64K for 32 panels with ground mounts. What happened to standing by your work, being honest?

Panels blend in nicely with the roof.

For sure thought I already wrote a review for these guys, as they are AWESOME. I came to update my review and, to my surprise and disappointment, I hadn't written one yet. WHAT?! My husband and I did A LOT of research on solar options for our home before committing to anything. We contemplated leasing and came to a fairly quick realization that doing so would not be beneficial for a myriad of reasons. Most importantly, it didn't make sense financially and there were a lot of risks (leasing solar is shady business, in my opinion). Buying solar can also be expensive and initially didn't seem very feasible... Then we came across Solar Savings Direct. We primarily worked with Grant but the entire team is wonderful. They're very knowledgeable, genuinely friendly and honest. They talked through all the details and were incredibly patient with us, as we tend to ask a lot of questions. They ensured we were getting the right amount of panels to meet our needs and what I really loved was the financing options through the bank they partner with. They were much more flexible than any others we had come across. This allowed us to keep our payment low and really see the return on investment. We pay less now on the solar loan than what our monthly bill used to be with PGE. Last year we saved over $500. That plus the added value to our home. They were also quick on the install process without sacrificing quality of work. It came with a smart EV charger, which we now use for our PHEV vehicle, and a nifty app to track our production. We can even check the individual panel layout on our phone to see what each panel is producing - an easy way to quickly spot issues and identify the specific panel. Of course, to date we have had no problems. Now to the update I was going to make today... These guys are life savers! Power goes out at the house and they provide a generator free of charge to hold us over until it's restored. Not only that but they respond quickly and bring the generator to you! I couldn't rave about these guys any more. If you're gonna do it, go with Solar Savings Direct. If you're not sure, at least talk to them about it. You won't regret it.

Came, installed and left in record time. So clean after they left you would have thought no one had been here.

About a year ago, I reached out about a potential leak, and Chris came out to assess the roof. He was incredibly honest and mentioned that he couldn't see anything that would lead to a leak. Still, he provided estimates for a partial fix, partial roof repair, and full roof repair. We ended up not needing the service but appreciated the honesty. Fast forward to this year, I reached back out to Chris for another potential leak, and he came out and assessed the situation again. This time, there were noticeable signs of leaks but nothing that was too concerning. He provided quotes for various options, and we felt comfortable moving forward with one of them. After this is where things started to not go as well as we thought. Once we signed the contract, we were issued an invoice for the deposit. As soon as I received it, I paid it the same day (almost within minutes of receiving it). Several days go by, and I don't hear back from the company to schedule our repair. I call the office, and for some odd reason, they cannot find confirmation that I had paid the deposit. I reassured the office that I had, as it was debited from my account, and I offered to forward the receipt and to have my bank verify that it was debited in the amount and to the correct vendor. They issued another invoice for the deposit as I was on the phone trying to dispute this, which was eventually cancelled, but it was a little annoying. After I forwarded the receipt, they scheduled our repair, so I assume they found the paid invoice. As someone who uses Quickbooks for business purposes, this is not something that's hard to track or find. So, I'm very surprised to have run into this situation. The morning of the scheduled repair, we received an email that said the crew would not be showing up. We were surprised because we did not receive prior notification that this was going to happen. My husband had scheduled his work week around this, so that he could be available for any questions or concerns. When we called the office, they said that they had called and left a voicemail, which we confirmed that we did not receive. They did, however, look back at their records and said they had misdialed and apologized. Again, for something that was last minute, we were annoyed again. On the day of the repair, Chris texted us, notifying us that we may be charged an extra $500 because their truck couldn't fit in our driveway. This was incredibly frustrating because that was not something he or the company mentioned would be an issue. In fact, Brad came out prior to install to inspect the old roof, measured our driveway, and even left his tape measure in the driveway! We called Chris and expressed our frustration at this, and he apologized and said they wouldn't charge us for this. If there were structural issues outside of what they initially found, I would understand, but when they clearly measured our driveway and left evidence of that and failed to notify us of this, that's a different story. Per the multiple project emails sent to us, there was to be a walkthrough and inspection from the crew's manager the day after they finished the roof installation to ensure the work was to our satisfaction. This did not happen, nor did anyone reach out to us to schedule this. Instead, we were immediately issued an invoice for the remainder. We had noticed several areas that looked very sloppy (I assumed this would be the case given the crew seemed very rushed by the end of the day and diminishing sunlight), so we called the office to have someone come out to walk through and inspect the finished work before we were willing to make our final payment. Brad came out and noticed the same issues that we had, and he took his time to get those areas fixed, which we appreciated. Overall, we are happy with a new roof. However, all of these little things made our experience not as great as we would've expected for the amount of money we invested.

American Eagle Roofing & Gutters aka Roof Geeks, Mr. Roof and Solar (These names are just SHELL COMPANIES owned by the same parent entity/company with multiple owners). They installed a NEW roofing system on our property in 2023. It started leaking in 2025. When we first contacted them for warranty repairs, they refused to honor the 5-year workmanship warranty, citing unpaid late fees. When we filed a claim with their Surety Bond, American Eagle Roofing then claimed the leak is not a leak, but a ventilation issue. Then later, they said they are no associated with the original contractor. They kept changing their stories from, "No Warranty due to Unpaid Balance" to "a Ventilation Issue" to "No Longer Associated with the Original Contractor." They have tried multiple tactics to avoid warranty. Cannot trust a company that behave this way. Updated from 5 Stars to 1 Star due to the business using dodgy tactics to avoid workmanship warranty on a leaky roofing system.

I worked with Johnathan for the initial estimate and he was kind, thorough, and supported me through every phase of the repair. The pricing was reasonable and the crew did a good job. They even found dry rot that needed repairing, which we would have not known, had it not been for their attention to detail. Unfortunately, there was an issue with the repair, but after speaking with Alex directly, another crew was sent the following business day to correct the issue. I would highly recommend working with the business based on their affordability, timely repair, and excellent customer service.

After evaluating some other quotes, we decided to go with Alex's company. From that time on, Alex and crew did a fine job. They scheduled a time for the work, arrived on time, and did a superb job fixing our roof and cleaning the gutters. We believe they went above and beyond what they estimated they would do to make our roof water-tight. Once the work was completed, we found one of our gutters was leaking a lot of water after a torrential downpour. I let Alex know, and he immediately sent one of his men back to fix the issue. Overall, Alex Perez's Roofing did a stellar job with our roof. I have one suggestion for the improvement: Alex should improve his post-work processes. When I asked Alex for a receipt of the work, he said yes. But I never got it. So, I had to call his office a few times. The first time, the office manager didn't reply. The second time, she sent the wrong receipt showing just the initial deposit. The third time, she sent the right receipt showing the final zero balance. In sum, we highly recommend Alex Perez's Roofing for their professional work. If it hadn't been for all the times we had to contact them to get the receipt, we would have given them five stars.
