She uses white polish. Not what I asked for. Ok. I leave and start looking at my nails. They are literally crooked on the ends. 2 of them break off. Acrylic nails are literally the strongest. I get on FB and get several references. I'm at Albertsons today shopping and it's so easy to cross the street to get my nails done. I tell them they're getting 1 more chance, show them how crooked they are and they're like oh we'll fix them. They cut off the nails and start all over. A different girl does them. I keep telling her they are too thick. They are literally square and sharp at the corners. Can you round them out. I'm there for over 2 hours, she has an appointment that's been waiting an hour. I hate the nails. I have troll nails. I don't even let her finish them I'm done. I go up and ask how much. She didn't buff them, smooth them or add top coat. But they're going to put the top coat on. No I don't want anything else done I'm leaving. How much. $55. WHAT. I didn't ask you to cut them off and start over. That's $30 for a fill. If you don't like them we're not going to ask you to pay. No I don't like them. Every finger thinks it's hump day cause they are so thick. But hey they're not crooked. I give the girl $15 as a tip. I then drive to the nail bar in Hudson Oaks and they thin them out, fix 3 nails that the French tip looked like crap and filed the sharp corners off. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE!!!!! Sorry, I don't have pics of them as I went straight to the nail bar in Hudson Oaks as there's no way I'd go to work with my nails looking like that. Let me give you all the details, like I normally do. I was greeted right away and told there would be a fifteen minute wait. It seemed longer though. Oh well, glad I brought my patience. Modern Nails was busy with seven nail techs working away. They called another tech to come in but, she was a no show. My Nail Tech was kind and gentle with my toenails. I did not experience any pain at all. I was so grateful. She spoke softly in her language to the tech next to her. Who knows what she was saying? This place is popular. Evey time I pass by, there's a good amount of people. The staff is really friendly and personable with their repeat customers. They know their customers by name. They offer them a drink. For example, water, a soda or even wine. They even stock snacks for one customer. There's also two tvs that you can watch. They always have a movie playing on both screens. They were showing that movie, Greenleaf. They were mindful of when the movie finished and were mindful of the subtitles. This one guy was really hustling. He was doing nails and had his appointment book open, ready to book future appointments. He also had a pretty good phone voice, with a minimal accent. Really impressive! The young girls that work there are in really good shape, dress trendy and sport really nice pedicures. As I left, I was thanked for my service. I was thankful I went there.
