I am not one to write a bad review but this mama desperately needed her ingrown toenails removed and was due for a relaxing massage and I was extremely disappointed in the service I just got from Solar Nails in Springtown TX. My nail technician displayed questionable hygiene practices throughout my visit. Not only did she place every utensil she used on a trash can lid, but she also scrubbed my feet and then placed the utensils on the ground. It was evident that the utensils used on me were not properly sanitized, as they were simply thrown back into the nail drawer AFTER use. So gross. Lastly, despite expressing discomfort due to my ingrown toenails, the technician dismissed my concerns, insisting that the issue had been addressed when it clearly hadn't. When I requested a thorough check, she refused, leaving me feeling ignored and frustrated. My biggest and overall concern was the lack of cleanliness. This raised serious doubts about the overall sanitation practices of the establishment. I will never go back. read more

Apparently these people do not like male clientele. I walked in and asked for a pedi. They told me to go have a seat. No other people ever acknowledged me. They got right to the lady that came in behind me. I sat there for 20 min waiting for someone to come around or at least tell me it will be a few minutes. Not a a single response. I got up and walked out the door and not one person said a word. Being new in town, I guess I am still looking for a good place to get a pedi and mani. To pay $90 for a full set of dipping powder and a pedicure, I had HOPED it would worth it! NOPE! I've given this place three chances now, each as disappointing as the last! The very same day as my "deluxe" pedicure, my feet were just as dry as they were prior to my pedicure, the technician kept staring at the clock and acted like she was being enslaved. The massage was QUICK and barely worth the money, not to mention, a CHEESE grater on your FEET?! YUCK! I've also witnessed just a change in bags on the pedicure stations, NO cleaning in between! Thank goodness I didn't get a staph infection!! Also! They handed me a tiny swatch of polish colors and claimed "these are the colors that match regular polish and dipping powder" as if to make me feel horrible about choosing regular polish for my toes...btw, the colors did NOT match! Totally different colors! It's been four days since my full set and pedicure, my toenail polish which was BARELY on my toes to start with is stupidly outgrown and my fingernails look like they were done a month ago! Not to mention, I had to practically BEG the technician to get my old nail polish color off my cuticles!!! Who does that?! If you don't take previous nail polish off it bleeds through!!! Not hard!! OH!!! Did I mention the COCKROACH?!?! Yeah!! MASSIVE cockroach on the floor which the owner claimed was a "water bug"...ICK! I won't be back! Great nail salon! The owner John does really great work but he's pretty busy. He did my dip manicure last week. As you can see my nails are already starting to grow out. Mia is my go to for pedicures. Pricing is comparable to what other salons charge. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good mani/pedi! read more

Service was ok. Had an appt for 3 people, I got there early and they took me back. My two friends were running late, they had bounce house people show up to set up while they were walking out the door, so they asked if they could start on other people. I said yes because they were extremely busy. The one star is for the service for my friends while they waited. Other than that my toes look like crap. This place upfront sucks. Fifteen minute pedicure, unstraight cutting nails. Tells me I have to come back every two weeks for ingrowns, my old girl was so good back home I went back every 4-6 weeks. Also, made me bleed right away when she cut into my ingrowns. Unacceptable... Not wasting my 25$ bucks again. I have gotten good service in the past, but today was just ridiculous. The young man that was doing my nails was nice at first. Then he kept changing the prices 35 then 40 and no other services where discussed. Plus, my deluxe pedi went from 45 to 60 at time to pay and again no other services where done for that upcharge. I was treating a friend and her fill was 45 plus 60 deluxe pedi. I tipped both men 15 and the woman who had done the fill 7. The young man got hateful and rude bc he did not like his tip. Very uneventful. I just dropped 237 bucks and my nails are a color he insisted on. Never going back simply for the changing prices and being ungrateful. My business is going else where. read more
