What a frustrating experience!! We went to Solano to get my brother a scooter for school two weeks ago. He wanted to finance it, so we agreed to co sign instead of purchasing outright. We got there around 3:30, filled out the papers and then the wait began. We waited an hour. Then another hour. The guy kept saying it would be ready in ten or fifteen more minutes, but it wasn't. Eventually, we had to leave to get my brother to work. The young man said they would call us, as it would only be a few more minutes. Surprise-No phone call. We went back to the store before heading out of town (we don't live there), and still no paperwork to sign. The manager told us he would have the paperwork ready for us to sign in Jax the next day, which we were okay with. We thought it would be a simple thing. When my brother called to figure out when he could come to sign the paperwork, nobody he spoke with seemed to know what was going on. Due to scheduling issues, he came by a few days later to do his part of the paperwork, and was told we would get a call to sign in Jax that next weekend. Guess what? No call. He called them again and of course nobody seemed to know what he was talking about. I called the store three times and got a "full" voicemail box during business hours. I finally wrote an email to their "contact us" mailbox on their website. There's more than one store in Jacksonville, and we had no idea where we were supposed to go. Finally, we were able to get in touch with someone, and were told the Jax store had all our paperwork in order and all we had to do was go to the correct place to sign. And wouldn't you know, when we got there, that store had absolutely no idea what was going on!!! They had to call the Gainesville store, fix whatever paperwork had not been done correctly, and FINALLY, we were able to sign the title and be done with it. So, yeah, the scooter was fine. The initial interaction was fine. Where this company really dropped the ball was with communication, both with other staff members and with customers. I don't have any problems with the scooter, it was a good price and seems to work fine. I'm happy it's all taken care of and the staff really was nice, but the communication was a real issue and caused a lot of headaches. If they simply talked to each other about what was going on, or called when they said they would, it would have made things a lot easier. I hope this scooter lasts a long time, because I don't want to have to deal with this again anytime soon! Very disappointed With Solano Cycles. Unfortunately, there are no dealers in my area that sell new Genuine scooters. I called Solano cycles in St. Augustine, being the closest, but the sales person wasn't very nice and almost refused to send a quote. I then called Solano in Gainesville and spoke with Danial who was very nice and knowledgeable. He sent a quote which was considerably lower than later quotes I received from other dealers. We corresponded via email while I was deciding. The next week I called to hopefully start process to purchase online. I spoke with Christine, who was also nice as Daniel was supposedly busy in assembly. She spoke about delivery cost which was much lower than Daniel's email quote. Anyway, she stated she would have Danial return my call. Later that same day, not hearing from them, I called back getting Christine again and again told that Daniel was busy, but would send correct delivery quote via email and leave message for Daniel. Well, that was last week and no email,,,, no phone call,,,,. Was the low quote a marketing ploy? Do they not want to make a sale? Well, who knows. I can't recommend Any Solano cycle dealers. TL:DR: go somewhere else. Anywhere else. Please. I've been working with Solano for years, as my scooter is my only means of transport. To start the customer service is non-existent, you can walk in and they won't ever make eye contact. Besides the lack of humanity, expect to over pay, expect them to say it was your battery and replace it for $59 but cannot prove the old batteries charge capability, and oh ya they replace it with a used battery... Other issues include the lack of safety. Without too much detail, they don't know what they are doing and will replace parts that will break causing your engine to explode and crack. read more

Terrible service, I bought the scooter less than two months ago, at the beginning the scooter was working fine (I bought it as a new scooter), I have it inside a garage almost all the time and don't use it that much so it is almost new. About two weeks ago my back brake stopped working so I took it to Solano's to get it fixed since it still has warranty they didn't charge me for the repair and it was done the same day. I pick it up and the brakes were working, they were tighter than the front brakes but they told me it should loosen when I use it. Well the brakes haven't loosen yet and they are so tight that the wheel makes a sounds and you can smell the brakes, so I decided to take it on the weekend again that i got time (I noticed this 6 days ago). As I said I don't use the scooter that much so I didn't notice till Wednesday when i was washing and cleaning the scooter that two parts of the scooter where broken in a place that they will only break when doing a repair. Since the scooter is new it doesn't have any marks or scratches of any kind so its clear that this pieces broken had to be done doing a repair and the only repair done was at Solano's. So today i took it back to show them what happened and to see if they could fix the brakes. They just said they weren't responsible for that and blamed me for the damages, also said that all the scooters they fixed have that same problem on the brakes, that is "normal", so after they didn't take responsibility, blamed me for their bad service they didn't even solve the first issue I took it for. So I left Solano's and took the scooter to another repair shop just to have a diagnostics (without mentioning Solano's to get an honest answer) and they confirmed what I already knew, during the reparation the parts where probably broken and they just pretended nothing happen to see if I didn't noticed and the brake issue was totally solvable, now my brakes work normally. Never going to buy or do any repairs at Solano's again and share the information so you can be careful when dealing with them. read more

I would give them zero stars if I was able to... I dropped my moped off eight months ago for a dead battery and now after eight months it still hasn't even been started yet. I've asked numerous times for the owner Marton to reach out to me and he has failed to do so. They are the only Moped shop at the beach so I am at their mercy and feel very helpless. This whole situation is pathetic and I would avoid them at all costs. read more

BUYER BEWARE - Started off great and went down hill from there. I went in to the Jax Beach location on a Saturday morning and spent 2 hours in the store really looking for the perfect fit with my daughter. We found a perfect match and bought the moped with a pick up for Tuesday. We rented a u-haul to pick it up as we live in south GA, $150 for a half day. We get there and the moped was still on the show floor as it was Saturday morning when we left. They did not even touch the moped until we got there! We went ahead and purchased a helmet while waiting. We waited around for 2 hours and the moped was still not ready! They took an entire hour before they informed us there was something wrong with it. I had to return the u-haul by a certain time so I left. We never received a call that day to let us know anything about the moped. We got a call the following day, Wednesday about how the moped was still not working but they were taking a part off another like model to fix the problem and they were going to personally bring it to me. I was reasonable and appreciated the fact that they were trying to make it right. Then 20 minutes before the close of business, they backed out on delivering it to me. At this point, I asked for a refund. This was just too much and completely unorganized of a place. I also looked at the reviews (something I should have done prior!!) and realized even if we did go through with this, if something was to go wrong and we HAD to deal with them again for the warranty, it would be one headache after another. We were waiting on someone to call us to let us know the refund was being processed and NOTHING! At this point they were screening our calls and not answering the phone. SATURDAY, an entire week since purchase! I had to call the orange park location and explain to that lady what was going on and she finally made it happen. She called me back within 10 mins with a status and the refund person called me a few hours later. THEN! We get to talking to the refund guy and he informed us the helmet was never actually charged (confirmed with our bank, it wasn't) and he was going to deduct the amount from the refund. I explained I wanted the refund and helmet processed as 2 different transactions, as they are two different transactions, and he kept asking me "why" "Isn't it the same card" "It will be the same amount of money" I had to raise my voice to get him to stop questioning me and just process them separately so my bank statement would reflect exactly what is going on. He had the audacity to ask why I was yelling. Needless to say, I should have read the reviews first. BUYER BEWARE read more

My scooter handle was broken and I was able to bring in it and they fixed it right on the spot. I was expecting to have to leave my scooter but they were able to help me quickly and fixed in 10 minutes. They also checked out my scooter for me and made sure that the scooter drove well before leaving. 10/10 service! read more

STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!!! Saying I've had an experience from hell would be a complete understatement!!! THIS HAS BEEN THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED WITH A COMPANY!!!! EVER!!!! If I wrote everything that has happened during my experience it would take me a few hours so this is just a quick summary of how ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE MY EXPERIENCE HAS BEEN AND CONTINUES TO BE!!!!! I dropped my scooter off in November of 2017 - YES, OVER A YEAR AND A HALF!!!!!!!!!! - and I still haven't gotten my scooter back! They told me it would be a couple weeks to fix but never heard back for a month. I continued to call them but no one would ever answer and my work schedule makes it difficult to come during normal hours. I finally was able to make it after being there for 2 months and nothing was done to the moped claiming their mechanic was out. I asked about the phone system and they said there's always "Bull shit calls that fill up the que" so rarely do they answer the phone.... LIKE WHAT?? so they swore up and down they would get it fixed and promised they would call me as soon as they got it... 3-4 months went by again without hearing from anyone and of course I couldn't get a hold of anyone at the shop! I must have called them 30x's. probably more. at all different hours of the day. NO ANSWER. So, i finally went back in and of course, nothing was done yet. This time they claimed the repair guy was fired because he was steeling parts from the shop and kept calling out.... BUT THIS TIME WAS DIFFERENT BECAUSE A NEW BOSS WAS IN TOWN TO MAKE EVERYTHING BETTER. So, my dumb self thinking I've already committed 6 months to getting it fixed I might as well give let them finish the job. HORRIBLE MISTAKE! again i was sworn to up and down they would get on it and call me asap when its done. NOTHING AGAIN WHAT DO YOU KNOW.. after another 3 months of trying to call them and get an update there's was still nothing. So, I was finally able to make it in the shop again only to find my moped in pieces, in the corner of the shop, the seat shredded to shit and looking all beat up AND STILL BROKEN!!!!!! At this point I demanded the manager to call the owner. At this point, they promised me they would send it to the Orange park location to have their top notch repair man fix it for FREE (the only reason I agreed). ONCE AGAIN HORRIBLE MISTAKE!!!!!! just like last time, they swore I would be called with updates but never heard from them. I eventually made it in the shop a month later (Because they don't answer the phone) and they told me it was still at Orange park and it wasn't there responsibility to keep me updated (which they said they would) and it was up to me to speak w/ Orange Park location. So I called Orange Park (they actual answer) and said they planned to work on it soon. 6 weeks go by with no word from them so I called and asked a status. This time they told me they fixed it, sent it back to jax beach location, where apparently the mechanic took the moped apart again where it wasn't working anymore and they had to send it back to Orange Park to fix it for a 2nd time........... When i asked why the f*&k would the mechanic take it apart after it was fixed the Orange Park service lady "Tammy" told me she had no idea and that's why they fired that mechanic........... Which she said its now sitting in a box, in pieces and they are still looking for the missing pieces to put it back together.... WTF???? at this point, I had requested the OWNER CALL ME at least 10x's and was promised he would but NEVER ONCE DID HE CALL ME! This lasted for another 3-4 months at Orange Park location of them promising they would get to it but it NEVER HAPPENED. WHAT DO YOU KNOW??? I have just now spoke w/ Orange Park today that said it was no shipped back to Jacksonville Beach location to have them figure it out... STILL NOTHING AND ITS BEEN OVER YEAR AND A HALF!!!!!!!!!!!! I've always had great experiences here! My first time, they worked with me for over an hour to help find the perfect scooter for me and taught me to ride one. Since then, they've always helped out when I've had various issues--during the most recent incident, I had trouble starting my scooter because I let it sit for too long. They helped me determine the problem and didn't even charge me (because nothing with the scooter was wrong, but I feel strongly that other companies would've found some other reason charge a customer). Apparently you can't give 0 stars. Brought them 7 units to work on. Asked them to replace broken plastic on a scooter, and they did....with a used, scratched, broken piece. Asked them to replace broken blinker lights...and they did but didn't actually tighten them. Asked them to replace broken brake levers. One bike did not get a replaced lever. The other, they attempted to straighten the lever in a vice or something because it's not replaced and you can see the scratch marks on it. All the units were filthy dirty, worse than when I dropped them off. I've never seen a dealership where they don't clean stuff up. They didn't check/charge the batteries on any of the units, even though I specifically mentioned the batteries. Several came back with dead batteries. I dropped off 2 running quads. When I picked them up, neither ran. And they said they weren't done with them...even though they called me for pickup. Wouldn't tell me what was wrong with either quad. Again, they ran fine when we dropped them off for routine service. One was missing all the left side plastic and they claimed "we didn't take that off". They wouldn't even call then"mechanic" that had supposedly worked on it. They walked away from the quad in the parking lot saying "We don't know what to tell you. This place is a mess." I had to push a 700 quad into a trailer on my own as they walked back in their shop. Days later when my own employees went to work on the quads that we had already paid Solano to service, we discovered the reason it wouldn't start. THEY DRAINED THE OIL AND DIDN'T REFILL IT. Charged me for the oil service but all they did was drain the oil. Thankfully the unit has a sensor to prevent it from starting. If you value your equipment, please find another dealer. We've had issues every time we take a scooter or quad to this place for service. This was the final straw for me. read more

Without a doubt, the worst godawful service ever. They came and picked up the scooter promptly, but after that, everything went downhill - terrible communication, inability to order parts, putting in the wrong parts, etc. After 11 weeks, I went in and brought the scooter home. I ordered the needed part from another dealer and fixed it myself. Now it runs like a champ again. Happily Solano only charged me for what they actually put into the scooter - gasoline, fuel filter, and the wrong spark plug. For routine service, you might be okay, but I won't be going back. My scooter has been there for FOUR months and every time I call no one seems to know what's going on. There is no communication, I never get calls about the status of the scooter or why it's taking so long, I have to call and be out on hold for 15 minutes before I can get any answers. Update! although my scooter has been 'fixed' several times, it still continues to have the same exact problem. I bought a new battery (when I shouldn't have even had to), and brought it in several times because it's had problems starting since about a week after getting it. I'm currently facing a problem where it won't start at all. I refuse to go back to this establishment after they've proved time after time how unreliable, unorganized, and irresponsible they are. Never do business at this place We purchased my son an ATV for his 10th birthday in OCTOBER 2016, It stopped working after only 3 days. They did not want to fix it. My son's 4 wheeler has been back with them for almost 5 months now, here it is March 2017 they call us to say its ready, now they want us to pay an extra $400 for tires that they put on because they say its a nail in two of them. Worst place ever, bad experience never spend your hard earned money with these people. This place is only out to get your money, they are not professional at all. please look around for other businesses before you end up like we did. Something is wrong if ALL of the reviews are bad. I called Solano to get my scooter rear tire replace around 430 and was told if I brought it in ASAP they could fix it today. I got to Solano scooter around 4:45 and they replace my tire and had me on my way by 5:30. I am very happy with this place for it to be my first time and they had very reasonable prices compared to where I brought the scooter from (New scooters for less). Hey New scooters for less price for a rear plus labor was around $80 for tire and around $130 for labor and because this was my second tire they charge a extra $5 but Solano charge me $128 out the door. I've save about $80 thanks to Solano for fast service and the best price thanks happy customer read more

My sister dropped her scooter off for summer storage and called the 24 hours in advance and was told to come pick it up two days later at noon. HOWEVER, when we showed up at noon we were told that the scooter battery needed to be charged. We were told it would take 20 mins. AN HOUR AND A HALF LATER, we are told that it will probably take 20 more minutes because they were "replacing the battery for free". Considering the battery is less than a year old, had never had any problems, and was only in storage for one month, they must've not started the scooter everyday and the battery died. Then I asked a technician how the battery would've died if the scooter was being started everyday, they said they don't start the scooters everyday. WHICH IS THE POINT OF PUTTING IT IN STORAGE IN THE FIRST PLACE. (If she wanted to let her battery die on her own she could've left it anywhere for a month) They drain the gas when they arrive and then recharge the dead batteries before you pick them up. Considering how nonchalant the technician said this it obviously didn't seem like that is a problem to them. Will never bring my scooter back here or recommend to my friends. read more

Great parts department. Lots of inventory. I had issues with the service department manager that should have never happened. All of the problems boil down to communication issues, or lack thereof. As a customer, I expect an estimate of the work to be done to closely match the bill I get, and not to be told two days after I drop off my brand new scooter with 100 miles on it, that they spent hours and hours chasing a problem that I did not authorize. The scooter ran fine after their repair, but the bill was much steeper than I expected. So, I think the repair peopl know how to fix scooters, but need a refresher course on how and when to communicate with the customers paying the bill. read more

Absolutely horrible, UNTRUSTWORTHY service. I almost got hit by a truck because their shoddy repairs resulted in my scooter cutting out while going 40mph just 2 minutes after I drove it off the lot. This was supposedly directly after my scooter had been "repaired". In addition, they held my scooter for about a month with practically no communication. They lost my original set of keys that was given to them and left me with a broken replacement scooter key that could barely start. I called and instead of apologizing and taking responsibility, they insisted that I will not be getting my money back. It absolutely blows my mind how these people do business; I would rate 0 stars if I could. I recommend you stay far away from this place. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I bought 3 for wheelers and a side by side from them. Upon delivery all were damaged I was guaranteed repairs that was in November 2017. After months of battling and arguing they came in May picked them up as at this point all the rust that was on their from delivery and I do have pictures time stamped had gotten worse. The company decides to just spray paint over the damaged areas and the rust disnt fix starting issues or transmission issues. Upon 2nd delivery I refused delivery due to spray paint all over them, a broken headlight, missing parts. The driver wouldn't leave I told him leave or leave with cops. The owner called cops said his driver was in fear but the driver told the cops he wasnt and the truth. So they sent me a company letter said all my stuff would be left outside in their junk pile til I take them. I hired a lawyer they refuse to answer the demand letter so this week my lawyer is going to a full blown lawsuit. Every review I do they try to lie but anyone of you want to contact me I'll share all pictures, text messages, and the letter he sent threatening me. I have all evidence. Horrible experiences every time! Every time I've had my scooter worked on by them, it takes over two weeks and there is absolutely no communication about what is going on with it. Then when you finally annoy them enough (after they put you on hold for 10 minutes every phone call) they give you some ridiculously expensive price for bad service. Also no problem has ever been fixed for longer than two weeks. Always blames the scooter and not themselves. Look elsewhere! Also, after I bought my scooter, the warranty just seemed to suddenly not include ANY of the things that were wrong with it. Awful service. read more

Please read before you buy! Bought a brand new scooter in June for my kids and it stopped working the first day I got it home. They picked it up and repaired it under warranty and a few days later it stopped working again. For the last 3 weeks I have been told they will come get it again and I've been stood up 3 times now. I'm at a loss of what to do. I spent $2,000 on a Lance scooter that will not run and the dealer will not fix it. I've contacted the manufacturer in CA and looks like I'll have to take it to the nearest dealer in Tampa now that I'm stuck with a broken scooter that I can't get fixed. Horrible service.. read more

Im not really sure what's going on over there to be honest. I cannot tell if they are simply incompetent or knowingly awful. I've been going through Solano for all my scooter needs for 2 years simply because I bought my scooter from them. They are either really good at acting like they are genuine or they just don't know how to do any better. They never follow up with you if your scooter is in the shop. If it is in the shop over a week and you decide to call, they never have any idea what's going on so they feed you some BS. It kind of just seems like they are disorganized, sometimes I feel kind of bad for some of the guys there because at times it seems like they are doing there best, but damn they should do better. This was the worst customer experience I have ever had. Firstly, they sold me a broken scooter. When I brought it in to be fixed they said it would take 20mins, after 2 hours I called and was put on hold for 20mins and when I was taken off hold, the woman asked 'who were you on hold for' and when I told her I had been on hold for 20mins she said 'that's not what I asked.' Then once I got my scooter back it was STILL broken. So since it was still under warranty I took it back to Solano to get it fixed again. They took it on Thursday and I called on Friday to ask about it's status, and they told me I would get it on Saturday. I waited till Monday and called and they still hadn't started working on it, but were working on other scooters that came in after mine. If you want a good scooter experience I would never recommend Solano, New Scooters for Less was a much MUCH nicer experience. read more

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. I bought a new scooter here and in 1 month it was already breaking down. The scooter was brought into the shop twice for the same problem. My staring system was so loose that I felt scared every time I drove the scooter. When I took it back to the shop it took them 3 months to fix it. They owner tried to make me pay even though the scooter came with a warrently. He accused me of getting in an accident and "wrecking" my scooter. I think this place tries to take advantage of their customers and charges them for services that are NOT approved because I was never told I was going to get a bill. For 3 months they said the warrently covered it and the day I wanted to go pick it up they tried to make me pay for everything. They never call you and update you with anything.
