TIMELY- Uriel called 30 min before his arrival and then, arrived at the stated time. This is particularly helpful so I can move my bunny to another room with all of his belongings. ATTENTION TO DETAIL - I saw him place a protective cloth down on the floor before he placed the ladder and tools down. I also noticed there was a bottle of cleaner with his supplies. He cleaned the inside vents as well as the compressor on the roof. He also tied off a loose wire/when checking the air handler in the ceiling. KNOWLEDGEABLE and THROROUGH - Uriel did a complete system check and then, he sat down with me to explain what was done and why. He addressed the concerns I had about some of the prior readings in terms that I could understand and shared tips that will help ensure my system runs at its most efficient. Example: A higher MERV doesn't always mean "better" and can actually restrict the airflow. He said that for my particular system I should use a MERV10 filter and change it every 3 months. He changed my filters and then, left me with two spares to use before the fall check comes. FRIENDLY - In the course of chatting with Uriel, it came up that I might benefit from having more filtered air coming into my condo. He made a recommendation for a part that would replace the standalone room air purifier I currently use. He placed this info into the after-visit summary so I can "research it and see if it fits with my needs and finances." There was zero pressure to make a purchase on the spot. And while this next item has nothing to do with the knowledge or ability of an HVAC tech, I greatly appreciate that he did NOT smell like cigarette / e-cigarette smoke or strong cologne as I have a bunny and people in my family have asthma. Ever since our air conditioning system was installed we've had problems. For the first few years…read morePaul was diligent in trying to fix it, replacing many of the parts. But we'd need service and often Freon every year for the last 15 years. Another issue was the thermostat would not reliably communicate with the air conditioner and heater. He replaced the thermostat twice with models that were outdated and not very good. When we lost heat in December he was unavailable to come by. We were shocked that he couldn't help after so many years. Another company had to replace the thermostat to get the heat to work. Now the air conditioner is not working. We got an analysis from a large local company and they found the air conditioner to be very unusual with 2 compressors and unable to work with a normal thermostat for both heat and air. Also Freon leak again. Decided to cut our losses spending money every year for 15 trying to keep a defective system running. Never worked right from first year. Fully replacing entire system.
